We went for lunch. The restaurant was large, clean, and the server was polite. I ordered one if the specials listed on the board and menu, which included free iced tea. The enchiladas were okay. Both tacos were on soft flour tortillas. The beef fajitas in one were well cooked, but bland, nothing but small chunks of meat. The carne guisada in the second one was tender and flavorful, but too soggy to pick up in the taco. My husband ordered maricos soup, which was also bland, watery, and had only 3 small pieces of fish and a decent amount of shrimp. When I went to the counter to pay, I had to inform the cashier that my tea was supposed to be free. They also charge more for sweet tea than they do unsweet which was $3.54 in a regular sized glass, even though you can add all the sugar you want at the table. It was our first visit and will sadly be our last. There are too many really good Mexican restaurants around, so no need to go to a mediocre one again. Sorry...

They treat you like you're the 'favorite neighbor'. Right away they bring you out a 'biscuit with gravy' just for you to try. What a smart concept! The menu is both breakfast and lunch/dinner and it offers many options to choose from but not too many and several are your American favorites but also southern style flair. I had a meal that was big enough for a king but I wanted it because it offered a taste of everything I want when I'm eating breakfast. 3 eggs, ham steak, sausage patty, bacon, hash browns, and a side of their fabulous pancakes and they come in your choice of flavor and I got the pecan. Honestly, besides the food being remarkable, and the service on point, the restaurant has a 'homey' feel to it and there are pics of the owners family all throughout. The last thing I'll say is, the owner comes through the restaurant and visits with everyone. Just a dear person and her goal was to make sure our experience and food was exactly what we wanted. And it was!! So, Bravo!! Keep doing what you're doing because it made us come back again and again!! Each time the same remarkable experience!!

I requested beef fajitas, two cheddar cheese enchiladas, a crispy corn taco with ground beef filling. The plate included rice and beans, guacamole and a choice of tortillas. I asked for flour. When my plate arrived the food looked hot, tasty and freshly made. After giving everything on my plate a try, here is my subjective assessment of the meal. Again, this was my only visit so I didn't try anything else. Service: 5 out 5, servers were friendly, helpful and attentive. You can tell they take pride in their jobs. They all wore matching black T-shirts. They refilled my drink and stopped by to ask if I needed anything else. Atmosphere: 5 out 5, not fancy but who cares. It was clean, comfortable and inviting. It feels like it's been there since 1972. Food: 3 out 5, although the items on my plate looked fresh and tasty, I felt only two items really stood out. The crispy taco was the best item on my plate. It was crunchy and delicious. The flour tortillas were freshly made and delicious. However, the beef fajitas were bland and chewy. The cheese enchiladas seriously lacked flavor. The cheese filling and enchilada sauce could and should have been better. The rice and refied beans were flavorless. Overall, the flavors were muted and I would say needed more seasoning. I wanted to give it a higher rating. I may try going again in the future but I'll order something different. They serve breakfast too.

I ordered the Split Decision Breakfast, and I have to say--it was the best French toast I've ever had. The food was fresh, hot, and perfectly prepared. We'll definitely be keeping this spot in mind whenever we're in the area. Thank you so much for the excellent food and service--5 stars all the way!

I put in an order for French toast, eggs, & coffee and paid for the meal, so I could just eat and run. I asked if I could sit anywhere. The cashier looked at me in surprise & said she thought I had ordered to go'. I said no, I wanted to eat there, but didn't have a lot of time, so was just ordering and prepaying for my meal. She told me to sit anywhere & she would bring my breakfast. There were a couple of waitresses standing around & after about 5 minutes I got one's attention & asked if I could get a cup of coffee. She brought my coffee and about five minutes later my breakfast arrived. . . But not on a plate. My breakfast was served in the plastic cover (not the plate itself, but the clear lid!) of the 'To go' box! Obviously, the cook must have been irate about my decision to eat there, rather than do take out! Since I'd only gotten a fork & spoon, I had to flag down another waitress to get a knife to cut my French toast. Once I was served my breakfast, nobody stopped to ask how was my meal, would I like more coffee, etc. I felt totally ignored! Needless to say I won't be going back to IHOP, nor would I recommend it! Decent food, bad customer service!

Mmmm mmm mmmm, was it TASTY! Our server was very friendly and attentive without hovering, despite it not being too busy. We all ordered burgers which were MASSIVE (1/2 lb maybe?) and cooked over a char-broiler evidently, as they had that "flame broiled taste". I added cheese to mine while a fellow golfer added grilled onions to his. I believe they all came with lettuce, onion, tomato and dill pickle slices. Condiments were served on the side. The fries seemed to be made "in house" as they were not the typical frozen French fry but were tasty. I noted they also had a breakfast menu for those living nearby or starting their round earlier in the morning. I'd definitely stop in if we lived closer, but as it's a 25 mile trip... I'll settle for a meal after a round of golf.
