This is our go to place for breakfast. The breakfast menu is pretty extensive. We love the breakfast tacos, which are large. Be prepared to wait on weekends, it's that busy. After going to this establishment for months ordering same plate. I was treated horribly. Even bullied by male waiter saying I had to pay for my plate even if it was not what I ordered. He said this when I didn't have a plate in front of me I had sent it back because it was wrong. I never touched or consumed food and was told I had to pay for it. All along owner behind counter with evil smile on her face. On previous visits was told by two employees how owners were very unfair and mistreated staff. No customer service at this place. The customer is not right at this place. To threaten and bully a customer with obvious consent of owner is not acceptable. Do not go to this place, no food is worth this treatment. Me and people I shared this with will never give our business to them. Too many restaurants in Weslaco to choose from, who do know meaning of customer service. If you don't believe me try to get your order corrected and you will also experience this unjust treatment. Food was EXCELLENT!!! Fast food fries have nothing on Homemade fries served here. Chicken burger was better than I expected from a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Tea was watered down and air-conditioning wasn't the best. Overall, I was VERY impressed mainly by the food. read more

Went with my family to eat at this place. Worst mistake we could've have done. Our experience was awful. Starting with the chips and salsa to my main dish. Ordered a popular plate here in the valley, the Tejano Plate. Yesterday's leftovers and preheated meat from the carne guisada was unpleasantly dry and cold. The separately added discolored gravy blanketing the stew meat made it look worst. The addition of overcooked potatoes and carrots was to much to handle that I had to return the plate, which I still payed. Won't mention the other plates, but this is not a recomendable place to eat. This place gets crowded on the weekend so be prepared to wait or time your arrival different from when I did. The breakfast taco I had was sooo good. Be sure to ask for homemade hot sauce as well. Found this hidden gem thanks to Yelp! A small, cozy, hole in the wall, lil mom & pop that is obviously well known to locals. It was full upon arrival at 11:00 AM. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful & prompt. Our food took a bit of time (20-25 mins) as advertised on a sign above the register (fresh food not fast food), so I can't complain. That being said I wouldn't recommend it on a time crunch. But, it was delicious & very well served so it's worth it if you want a home-style meal & have the time. Decided to stop here because we had been on the road for hours and it was close by and had breakfast. Pleasantly surprised! Small, family run business. Friendly waitstaff. Food took a little while to come out but was worth the wait. Definitely fresh and homemade. Menudo is top notch! Everything was delicious. And the kicker... a meal for 4 under $25! If I could leave no stars, I would. I understand the low staff and wait time for fresh food. Took 10 mins to get acknowledge by a staff member. Waited over an hour and never got our food. We asked several servers to check on our order. They said they would and never gave us an update. Many parties came after us and they all got their order.
