5/5 -- Fantastic BBQ Mexican Feast at Pollos Asados El Tio Roy…read more Pollos Asados El Tio Roy delivered an incredible meal and an overall great experience. We ordered the four-meat combo ($34), which came loaded with sausage, BBQ chicken, four beef ribs, fajita, tortillas, beans, and rice. Every item was packed with flavor -- tender meats, perfectly seasoned sides, and generous portions. We were even given extra beans and rice, which was a nice touch. The service was fast and friendly, and despite the casual setup (plastic-covered tables and picnic-style seating), the place was clean and comfortable with soft music in the background. It's not trying to be fancy -- it's just serving amazing food at a great value. For two people, our total was $49 with tip, and we still had enough leftover meat for another dinner. You really can't beat that. If you're craving delicious BBQ with a Mexican twist, Pollos Asados El Tio Roy is absolutely worth the visit. Great flavors, great prices, and genuinely warm service. Highly recommend!

To start off the employees were highly unprofessional and I mean HIGHLY. They were eating behind the counter, licking their fingers afterwards and continued to prepare orders without washing their hands. They were constantly on their phones which had my family and I as well as another gentleman who was in line before us wait to get our order taken. All the tables were dirty I had to clean up one table so we can sit down and eat. During the whole 7-10 minutes that we stayed to actually eat, they were just hysterically laughing and using curse words...we just needed to leave asap. But before leaving my mom wanted to take 4 Buns to go (since we were huge fans of Golden Chick, key word "were") on our way home, since we live about 20 minutes from the nearest store, my mom decides to take a bite out of one and we were so disgusted as to what we saw on the bun... there was 2 lashes with mascara smeared on the bun.. safe to say we are never going back, at least to that location.

It was around 85-100°F outside, yet inside it felt like we were sitting in the Arctic. I understand wanting to keep the restaurant cool during the summer, but this was far beyond reasonable. The freezing temperature completely ruined our night. Instead of enjoying dinner and then going out afterward to have a couple of drinks, we ended up leaving uncomfortable and miserable. I was so cold that my eye started hurting, and by the time we left, I had a headache. We canceled the rest of our plans and just went home to watch a movie and go to bed because neither of us felt like doing anything anymore. I hope management takes the temperature inside more seriously because no customer should have to wear a jacket just to eat wings and drink a beer.
