Azure Bistro is housed in what was formerly the cafeteria for the adjacent lodging facility for the Our Lady of San Juan del Valle National Basilica Shrine. As an annual parishioners, I've eaten here before and I love it! Earlier today, I had lunch at Azure. It consisted of their oh-so delicious ahi tuna salad. The greens and tuna practically occupied the whole plate, which was accompanied by a separate bowl of salad dressing and a pack of crackers. I enjoyed the salad so much that I nearly forgot about the crackers. There's no doubt if I ever drop by again around noon or after, I'll order it again. I want to mention that I had breakfast here before, too. I highly recommend the barbacoa, which tastes like it was grilled the way vaqueros (cowboys) in South Texas do theirs. The good: this is a quiet hidden gem with delicious breakfast. The restaurant is clean and welcoming. The waiter was a young teen who was very attentive and helpful. The mom and pop shop is definitely a place to visit. We had the breakfast platter which came with two pancakes. We customized the pancakes by adding berries and man were they delectable. The platter was very well served with bacon, ham, Canadian bacon, eggs, potatoes and the pancakes. We also tried the traditional eggs Benedict with side of potatoes and fruit. First time I tried this place was after Covid. Really liked it then. The customer service was always friendly. As of lately though, I feel the quality of the food is different. I enjoyed this restaurant but the food was just okay. I had the spinach and artichoke dip which was yummy then the Mediterranean salad. Everything in the salad was chopped up in tiny pieces which I thought was odd. I forgot to ask for no tuna and the pieces were too small to pick out. Made believe it wasbl canned tuna - the texture and overwhelming taste. I'd rather be able to see the lettuce pieces, the feta, etc. Great service and super friendly people! read more

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. Decided to try it after church for brunch and put aside the bad things that I read on yelp. As we walked in we were the only one at the restaurant and we're told to sit wherever we wanted. The coffee was room temperature which isn't that good since coffee tends to get cold real quick. Flavor was good I ordered the omelet and what can I say you really can't go wrong with omelettes good flavor of the ham and bacon. My husband ordered the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken the sauce is very good the chicken tasted like it was either from a can or precooked and just heated up wth the pasta. My husband said it was good except the chicken. My friend ordered the salmon bagel but was told that " they ran out" mmm so she orders a ham bagel overall the bagel was good the ham was very very salty for our taste. Great nice bistro. Delicious food. Nice ambiance. You can tell that the owner put a lot of thoughts in preparing his/her menu. The choices are very similar to what you will get in a fancy expensive breakfast place ( nicely presented Belgian waffle, eggs benedict etc) or in a franchise sandwich place like Mcallisters. A must try!!! It's a little bit far from where we live but hey you're in the valley. Everywhere is close because of lack of heavy traffic. read more

This was our first time in this restaurant and I can't see a repeat visit in the future. Our server was terrible. Only refilled the coffee once when he brought our meals. Asked us if we needed anything and how our meals were after we had already finished. He then started setting other tables while we sat in front of our dishes waiting for the check. Eventually we decided to get up and ask the cashier for the bill. If the food left an impression, maybe we would give it a second chance with a different server. It wasn't bad, but pretty basic, and my eggs benedict arrived almost cold. I will say the chef was very welcoming as we walked in. Decided to try out a new place, and it was garbage. This place needs a new makeover, it is the example of a restaurant starring in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Long story short this place needs a Gordon Ramsey. I had the "chef's special" it was a chicken gyro that came with potato chips and a bland mushroom soup that was worth only to taste and dispose of. The chicken gyro wasn't even made with actual chicken breast off a grill. Hell even if it was pan seared I would've enjoyed it more but the meat was literally cold cut deli sliced. Don't call it gyro then! Call it a sandwich! I'll never come here again and I'll never recommend this place to anybody. This place needs a long overhaul change. read more

I had my birthday lunch here today. I had the Reuben sandwich a watermelon iced tea. Both were yummy! The corned beef in the sandwich was super tender, best I've had in ages. Also had carrot cake, but they added chocolate and caramel sauce because of my birthday I guess, and could have done without that. The watermelon iced tea was very refreshing, and my friend had their peach iced tea and she said it was quite good also. Had a great little lunch with my painting group. We each had different items. I asked if the waffles would still be available close to noon....yes, but I might have to wait ( not too many customers this day so no wait)....IT WAS WORTH IT!! We were lucky to find this place! It's wonderful local spot away from all those awful chain breakfast restaurants like IHOP and Dennys which we always try to avoid. I came with the in laws and the family and we're pleasantly surprised with the freshness and execution of the food. We had waffles and the omelet both were top NOTCH! Also, not to crowded right after 11am mass so we really appreciated that since this location is tiny. But good news is they're moving to a new bigger local and will expand the menu. Hidden gem in San Juan. Tried it for the 1st time....eggs bendict (EB)in San Juan?....yup. And they were good, well done and presentation was well served. The Hollanaise sauce mite have used abit of salt but tasted better than other places i have tried E.B.s at. The OJ was homemade, wife had an scrambled eggs w pancakes. She said food tasted great. She usually leaves portions behind, not this time. Son had a bacon burger combo, he sed it tasted great. Coffee was also good. Service was fast, friendly and manager made us feel welcome. Since not too many know about this place, the service was fast. The food varieties offered are not ur typical Mex food. The servings are well portioned. The price is even better. I recently ate here with my father, who said an old friend of his recommended we eat there. I had decided to give it a try, and was surprised at the taste of their food--completely delicious. Despite the soup being somewhat lukewarm as if it had been sitting on the counter for awhile, my main meal, the Turkey Burger, was absolutely savory with great texture. I had no problem finishing it. We came for the first time during Sunday breakfast. At first we were a little sad that there wasn't more on the menu BUT there was a second menu apparently. Anyway, the food did not disappoint.
