The honey butter biscuits and the French fries have to be my favorite thing to order. I can never catch them when they actually have chicken due to have being told there is a 40 minute wait on chicken. To my convenience I ran a quick errand, came back, due to wanting to try a certain flavor of chicken and to my surprise still 40 minute wait. Some of the yummiest fast food chicken I've had! It was my first time in the South and so many people told me to try Church's chicken. I am so so so glad I did! My family and I ordered spicy fried chicken, regular fried chicken, and one of every side. Everything was SO good. The flavor of the chicken was amazing and I loved the spicy seasoning they gave as well. The chicken was super crunchy and the inside was perfectly juicy and moist. My favorite sides were the honey butter biscuits and Mac and cheese. I honestly had so many biscuits on my trip from so many different places but the ones here were by far the best! I thought the corn was lacking a bit in flavor so I used the spicy seasoning on it. Everything else was good! Now I just wish I had one a little closer to home. read more

Come here if you want your time wasted. This location needs new management or something! 1st incident happened about 3 months ago where I waited at drive thru for 30+ minutes to PLACE an order. They claim to open at 10am per hours posted online & on the door. I arrived around 9:50am so I'm first in line. Didn't have my order taken until after 10:30am & still didn't receive the food in a timely manner despite the wait. (Oh, & ketchup seems to be the only condiment that this location carries, Honey is never available for whatever reason). 2nd incident - Happened broad daylight during operating hours. I pull up, attempt to go inside & an employee is signaling me to go through the drive thru & that the inside lobby is closed. As I'm in drive thru (about 4 cars are ahead of me), an employee comes outside & starts telling everyone that they are now closed & we can't place an order. Mind you, in the NEXT parking lot at the gas station, the police pulled someone over & was writing the driver a ticket. After claiming to be "closed" most of the employees went outside to go look & mind the business of those in the next parking lot instead of being inside & operating the business that they're employed under. I didn't trip, I simply went right next door to Brother's since they have chicken as well. 3rd incident occurred today 6/19/23 around 11:30am. I pull up, get out of my car, I pull the door open, (didn't even step foot into the building yet) & an employee/lady is yelling "DRIVETHRU, DRIVETHRU!!" - I was shocked because dang, no greeting or nothing! Just rude! I responded by saying "Um, Hello. & okay, I will leave. Thank you!" This is me leaving a review because this location is trash & the employees do not know how to treat customers. There's no way that the lobby should be closed almost every time I come there since we are no longer operating under a pandemic schedule. & if the lobby is truly closed, why isn't the door locked so customers won't enter?! I am an out of towner visiting New Orleans. I qas dog tired from sight seeing the city so I did not want to leave my hotel room. I decided to use my Uber Eats app to see what was around. I decided on Churchs Chicken. It's almost impossible to mess up some chicken. My driver brought the food right to my door The chicken was freshly cooked It didn't smell or taste like old grease and I point this out because it was night time. You might get anything when you buy fast food at night. The chicken was reasonable. The only thing is there was no utensils to eat the food with and no condiments. Overall, I wasn't pleased with my stop. They've started closing at 8:00 pm and it was 8:02 on and all they had was smokehouse chicken and they wouldn't consider making more. I ordered my meal on the churches chicken app. This was doing a time when they were not allowing anyone to come into the store. So after waiting in the long line that was on my all the drive to get to the intercom to give the lady my name and tell her I'm picking up my food. I was told my food was already picked up. I told her but it was a personal order that out ordered on the app. Was not asked what my order was when our offer a refund was not offered to have my food replaced. I've been in touch with headquarters and they want 866 number and I still have not have resolve I was just like to have my $19.10 refunded to me. Have been dealing with this since December 2021. Call my bank my bank told me that there was nothing that they can do about it because it's more than 60 days. I just want my money back the churches chicken that usually is on airline highway was burned down there in the process of rebuilding it someone from church is actually give me my money back please. If you want good tasting Chicken for solid prices this is your place. Their spicy chicken tastes way better than Popeyes or KFC and it's less expensive too. Their side items in general taste better: honey biscuits taste WAY better than any biscuits at Popeyes or KFC... Mashed potatoes are better, green beans is compatible but Corn on the cob is not as good and corn pellets from KFC. I like beans at Popeyes the best. About their facility: The bathroom is clean. The tables are clean. I give them credit for that. They need better ventilation. I wait for 5-10 minutes for my order and I smell like I work there. I always wait outside until my order is ready. The customer service needs work but since the product is better and less expensive than KFC or Popeyes, I'm willing to put up with it. Awful service. I wasted nearly an hour trying to pick up an app delivery order. The lobby was closed, so I had to go through the drive thru. The cars in front of me took about 15-20 minutes, then I was told that they were waiting on chicken for other orders and it would be about 15 minutes. The lady comes back on the speaker, only to tell me that they didn't have the order. This is a common theme among locations, but this one takes the cake. They have no regard for their customers or delivery drivers. I will never deliver from or patronize any Church's location again, and, if you have a shred of human decency, you won't order delivery and make it someone else's problem. read more

Place wasn't too bad! Food was actually pretty good! Chicken tenders were pretty thick. Way better than Popeyes chicken tenders across the street. Fries were good and Mac and cheese was pretty amazing. Service was slightly poor. Lady who took our order was a little rude, but it was a hot, busy day here at church's, so no judgments. I love the bombers, but the experience has my turned off. The first incident, the drive through line is backed up into Loyola, because the parking lot is torn up around the menu board, and they want allow anyone inside. After sitting in the line for 20 minutes because it's not possible to exit once your in due to the storage containers and debris, I finally get to the window. I order my bombers, but told I couldn't have ranch unless I pay for it. Are you kidding me after I've been stuck in this line?!!!!! Fast forward to today, there's no line this time, but waited at the window for a good five minutes until someone came to check if anyone was there. I placed my order, I asked for bombers and a medium drink. I am informed they have large only, so I'm forced to pay more. Then when I ask for ranch I'm told it's a dollar for two little ranch cups!!!!! When I showed concern about that the price magically came down to 55 cents. When I should have gotten out of courtesy. I drove to church's chicken at 9 pm. this evening and waited approximately 20 minutes standing near the entrance door. No one greeted me or asked me if I can take your order. The woman behind the counter Debra, was telling the other customer at the counter that they ran out of biscuits and the chicken will be 15 minutes wait time. Once I heard her say that I immediately left and drove to Popeye's across the street. The service there was friendly and they had the biscuits and chicken prepared to go in 5 minutes. Thank you to Popeye's I say. As for as Church's on Loyola near the Interstate 10, I will not return to that store. I will find another location in the metro area and try there service. The manager here is very rude all the time. Last night Oct 25th was the final straw with me and I won't spend money where I'm treated so rudely. I went through the drive thru but no one waited on me after saying hello many times and waiting for 15 min I finally went in. There was 2 people ahead of me. A man said excuse me ma'am to the manager several times and she never answered so he spoke with a loud voice and she replied WHAT? He said can you please drop 2 large bombers, still she never replied but rolled her eyes and proceeded to drop the bombers. As she was doing this I said excuse me ma'am I'm ordering a order of large bombers can you drop some for me also. She never replied or acknowledged me. By this time more customers had arrived and everyone was talking about how nasty and rude she is toward customers. So I realized she been doing this and I've seen her talk loud and rude to her employees in front of customers. At this point I'm done.
