My wife and I had never jeard of Chunky but were pleasantly surprised to discover them. They were located inside the Pounders Restaurant at the front counter. The cookies were huge but also pricey at $6/ea. The flavors were classic but with a few different ones. My wife chose the Chocolate Chip. It was chocolate-y, soft. I was torn between the Cookies & Cream and the White Chocolate Raspberry. The cashier said her favorite was the White Chocolate Raspberry. So I went with her recommendation. Soft chewy inside with crisp edges. The white chocolate and raspberry were good.

I was in the area and wanted a sweet treat. These cookies are HUGE! Like bigger than the Costco food court cookie. Very unique flavors and really well baked. Highly recommend if you're close.

These cookies are the real deal. Obviously homemade with cookie love. The kid loves the s'more while my fave is white chocolate with macadamia nuts. They are so big it's practically a meal. The cookie counter is located inside the Pounders restaurant. Service is friendly and fast. This is my go-to when I need a sugar rush.

very large, chunky and filling. the outside is a bit hard but on the inside, it's soft and chewy. raspberry is my favorite. it has the perfect amount of sweetness and hint of raspberry. walnut tasted ok, not that great. macademia tasted better but nothing special either. the prices are affordable for such large cookies! service was quick and friendly. this little cookie shop is inside pounders restaurant which was spacious and large. we asked if we can eat the cookies on one of the tables but i believe the "manager" of the restaurant said there was tables outside with attitude. we asked because there were plenty of empty tables inside..

Chuncky "keiki" took nealy 15 min but well worth the wait. Ordered with salted caramel as a topping and oh boy ....this was a yummy treat after a long walk at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Place is small and long waits but yummy and has a friendly staff. Highly recommend!

I think these are the most delicious cookies I have ever eaten in 2024 I would drive an hour to go and get the chunky cookies! Will definitely be back!

Amazing cookies! Me and my fiance ordered 7 different types of cookies and it was unique and delicious! I was excited to try it and my expectation was thrown off cause it was sitting on the shelf and late the day we tried it. Was afraid it would be cold but it was nice and warm and the chocolate was gooey and delicious! So much better than Crumbl cookie

We have followed Chunky on social media for a while and finally made the trek from Ewa Beach to Kahuku to try their cookies. Don't go looking for their foodtruck, they are now located in PCC inside of the Pounders Restaurant. They sell their cookies individually or in a box. They also sell them as cookie sundaes, which is what we got. We both chose to do the sundaes with the 3 smaller cookies (instead of 1 large one). We were also able to choose the cookie flavors and the topping (chocolate or peanut butter). No whipped cream on top, but it was still ONOOOO! I don't think we'll do the "hourish" drive out there just for the cookies, but we would stop there if we find ourselves on the Nor-Sai again! P.S. @Chunky, friendlier customer service would've made this a 5 star visit. ‍

First off if you couldn't tell these cookies are quite massive. They are very flavorful and filling so choose wisely as there is honestly no wrong choice. Service was great and parking here has a lot so don't worry. Chunky is inside of pounders restaurant in case you didn't know. All in all it was a great experience and I look forward to coming back soon and trying their cookies with an ice cream scoop or three on it.

Friendly service and excellent cookies. This was my second visit, and it's definitely worth the drive. So much better than Crumbl! The sea salt as a finishing touch, the crisp on the outside of the cookie and the softer inside, and the texture in each flavor is perfect. Of course, I wish it were more affordable, but I do think it's worth the splurge.

I absolutely love, love, love cookies! You can have all the other desserts in the world but don't take my cookies...lol! Wife and I always Cruz out north and we always stop at pounders to eat but today we stopped just to get cookies! Cookies are $5-6 dollars each and the even sometimes have a tray with day old ones at half price!

I finally got the chance to try Chunky Co. I unfortunately had to work the only two times they were in town last year, so im glad i was able to finally try them at Traditions coffee pop up in Kailua. I've honestly never heard of Traditions coffee until they posted in their stories. Getting there was a little challenging. a 24 minute drive took me nearly one hour because i really could not find the location and my GPS was taking me in and out of Kapaa quarry. To say i was really stressed out and was about to give up was an understatement. I literally could have went to their original location near PCC for the same amount of time. LOL. Each cookie was 3.50 each. I got a variety box of 4 with 2 smores, 1 nutty buddy (recess) and 1 Chocolate chip. My favorite was definitely the chocolate chip, and my least favorite was the recess. I actually got this one for my husband, but he actually didnt like this one either. Normally they're found in Laie from 4pm until 9pm. The hours are a little inconvenient for me and its really far. Hopefully they get to do more pop ups closer into town in the future. I'll definitely buy again.

Their Kalua Pork is all the things--salty, smoky, juicy, tender, shredded meaty goodness. Their Squid Luau is perfect--the right balance of savory, mildly coconutty, melty luau leaves with bits of chewy squid. The Lomi Salmon has a nice bite from the red and green onions, the freshness from the tomatoes, and that briny saltiness. The Mac-Potato Salad was creamy and chunky, with a little bit of carrot and onion for freshness. The Lau Lau was loving assembled. Each foil packet was lined with a small piece of Ti leaf for flavor. The inside of the Lau Lau contained a piece of sweet potato, a chuck of salted pork, and a small piece of fat to keep everything succulent. More places should put sweet potatoes in their Lau Lau--I'm a fan. The catering buffet also had Chicken Long Rice which looked great with thick rice noodles and lots of chicken and green onions, but I skipped it because I didn't want to pour soup on my plate. I also skipped the white rice and fresh green salad. Another reason to seek out the Fat Poi truck is they do poke bowls and you can get combos to try more things. Only downside is I tried to phone order in advance knowing they would be busy but I couldn't get the phone call through. We had to order once we got there and there was about an 1.5 hour wait for our order. The area is a dead zone for phone service so although they'll call to let you know your order is ready, you may not receive the call. But the wait was expected so we decided to go hang around the beach while waiting. There was a line of people wanting to order. I'd recommend to go early in the morning while they still have everything in stock because we got there at about 10:45AM and they had just sold out of their peanut butter rolls! It is cash only as well. Sad to see the business go but happy there is a lot of locals supporting them, giving fond farewells and wishing the Papa Ole's ohana the best!

We ordered the Spicy Shrimp and the Shrimp Scampi plates, and neither was impressive. The food came out almost instantly, which proves it is not cooked to order. Because it sits around, the shrimp is incredibly difficult to peel. Anyone who cooks shrimp knows that if you do not peel it right after cooking, the shell sticks to the meat, which was exactly the case here. The Spicy Shrimp had a decent kick, but it lacked actual flavor. The Shrimp Scampi was better but still bland. Honestly, 9 out of 10 shrimp places back home in Southern California make a better plate. To make things worse, the two ladies managing the truck were rude. My wife asked for extra napkins, not realizing some were already in the bag. The worker snapped back, "Are those not enough?" and made her feel super awkward. We also asked for a cup of ice to go with our canned sodas. They flatly refused and told us to ask another truck nearby. Luckily, the other truck owners were much nicer and gave us the ice. Save your time and money. There are much better, friendlier options out there.

We drove up to get there just before noon on a Saturday. It was rainy, so the numbers were a bit light in the area, but there were still thirteen people in line when the truck opened for business. The owner was fun, friendly, and engaging the customers in conversations while prepping the food. There are times when I think some food truck owners take on the role of a short order cook and get annoyed that you don't understand "how" you're supposed to order; that was certainly NOT the case here. You just need to decide if you want a hot or regular sandwich and whether you want bleu cheese or special sauce. We got one hot and one regular, but the chicken is HUGE and two adults can easily share one sandwich. I'm torn, because while we would probably order just one sandwich next time, I also want to support the business and get two. The chicken was as good as everyone told us and had incredible crispy batter. The fries though...those were maybe the best I've ever had. The sauce is amazing and I do think it's delicious with the sauce. Rice was just rice. Meh. Even adding shoyu didn't add much flavor to it, to be honest. The mac salad is extremely bland. I don't know if they need to add some acid to the mayonnaise or more salt, but it was pasty and no flavor. I would honestly skip getting the mac salad next time and get regular salad! That's how bad this mac salad was. Two slices of pineapple on the plate were fresh and flavorful. I did enjoy these. Service was okay. It's just uncomfortable when certain people get friendly, effusive mahalos and others get terse thanks, like I didn't want to be serving you food today. Maybe cause it was Mother's Day and they didn't want to be there? Sure didn't feel like 'ohana today. So many flies around, it made eating uncomfortable.
