This is a spectacular bakery for both savory and sweet tooth fans. We came here specifically because our dog's name is Kiwi and how could we not try it out? This is not a sit and eat kind of place but a grab and go kind of place. You are making the drive not for the ambiance but for the food itself. We got a mix of mince and cheese pies and chicken curry pies, as well as their sausage wrapped in pastry dough. I can easily give the chicken and curry pie 5 stars, but the mince and cheese was even better. Both very savory, and the crust was still flakey and the pies were still warm by the time I got to our rental after walking 15 minutes in the rain. This is definitely a repeat worthy place. We got cream puffs for desert and they didn't disappoint either. Flakey dough, chocolate drizzle on top. Service was very fast as we were the only ones there but as we were leaving a family of 3 showed up. I'm not sure how much the tiny shop makes in a day, but several of the meat pies were sold out. First time here today. I love meat pies and saw this place on the way back from Kahuku. Ordered two meat pies: chicken curry and chicken veggies. Honestly, could not tell the difference unless the lady gave me both chicken curry by mistake. Pies were not bad...little twist would make it worth the $10 per pies. I thought it was pricey for a meat pie. The right price for me would be $6-$7. Pies I got, there was barely any chicken meat inside. Needed a little kick as in more seasoning...maybe a lil dash of chicken bullion and more chicken would be great. I think the crust is perfect. This review is only based on the two chicken meat pies I tried. Would love to try other meat pies: luapulu, and beef meat pies. FINALLY! I deliver to Laie, Hauula-side, once in a while and have seen the "Meat Pies" sign but when I come back, they're either sold out or closed! Yesterday, I finally got some pies! I chose the sausage roll, beef and onion and chicken. The sausage roll was so good! A truly tasty, fat sausage, wrapped in flaky pastry. Ate half of it on the way back to town. I made myself stop when I noticed all the flaky crumbs on me and the car! Now, I gotta vacuum the car... Ate the other two and the other half of the sausage roll, at home for dinner. The beef and onion was amazing, the chicken was good too but it had a tomato base and I was expecting a cream base. But it was just as delicious, just the same. I'm still not honking about the meat pie, 3 days later. The crust was perfection - so buttery and flaky. I'd the crust alone and be happy, the savory filling was so delicious and satisfying. The trifle was so good. Refreshing and rich at the same time. It tastes like a strawberry shortcake with custard, topped by whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Portions are generous enough that my daughter and I split the pie and trifle and it filled us up, even with my husband "stealing" half of the trifle. He doesn't usually enjoy multi-layer desserts! We can't wait to go back to try the other flavors of pies. Service was great - it was a single young man working the kitchen and he was favor personable. The reviews for Kiwi Korner were good so we decided to try it for dinner on a Saturday. The wife and I had the curry chicken pot pie and it was very good. The curry was mild. It came out hot and the crust was flaky and not greasy. In August 2024 one pie cost $10. The wife was full after one but I probably could have eaten another. We also had the lemonade and it was real, not from a mix. Service was efficient and friendly. It's a food truck so you order and then find a nearby table, thus there is no ambience. I was sadly disappointed with my experience today. We live in Waipahu,but I am from New Zealand so I was excited when my cousin told me about this place. My son and his family were camping at Kahana Bay and we were down for the day. We decided to find this store and it was pretty easy to find. We don't eat breakfast so we're pretty hungry. We bought one mince and cheese pie and because my husband told them our day's background they gave him a steak and onion pie free. The pastry was great but the pie filling had so much pepper in it that you couldn't taste the meat or cheese. It even burned my mouth and my lips were swollen and sensitive. I was able to take two bites of the mince before I had to stop eating it (my husband who has a lava mouth was happy though). I waited a while to allow my mouth some time to cool down then decided to try the steak and onion pie. It was also very peppery In fact the top pastry was even covered in pepper much like a pepper steak would be, which should have been a hint. I don't know if this is how they intended the pies to taste but we did not like them at all. We decided on two stars because they gave us the second pie free I do not think I would recommend this store in the future read more

As good as any you will find in Aotearoa. Ordered the meat and cheese and meat and onion. The first bite took me back to our first trip to Aotearoa in 2011. Nestled at the very edge of the Polynesian Cultural Center parking lot is this unassuming food truck that serves the BEST MEAT PIES YOU'LL EVER HAVE. My husband and I were hungry after a long day of hikes and touristing and saw "meat pies" listed as a nearby option in the PCC pamphlet. We wandered around the dining area until we found the truck. The owner was very kind and assured us every option would be delicious. We opted to share a steak and cheese pie. That quickly turned out to be a mistake. Because we wolfed down the thing in 5 minutes and instantly regretted not getting another one. We regretted it so much we returned later that day to get another one! The steak and cheese as super juicy and cheesy on the inside, which was a nice contrast to the crispy, flaky, delicious crust. The chicken curry that we tried when we came back was so savory and flavorful - it was absolutely worth the 25 min drive to return here. We also tried the chocolate banana trifle. Oh man. I usually don't love overly sweet, chocolatey desserts but this was the perfect blend of creamy and not-too-sweet chocolate flavor. I loved the crunchy bits they add to the top to give it texture. The pineapple drink (Vaifala) was also fantastic. It is basically a creamy, heavenly pineapple drink with bits of real pineapple. So refreshing on a hot summer day. Honestly? This is easily our favorite food truck in Hukilau Marketplace! We live in Honolulu, but whenever we are able to make our way up to Laie, we make it a priority to stop here for some food. This food truck is tucked away in the far corner of the parking lot at the PCC. We almost missed it, but we were so glad we decided to come here! We were excited to try the meat pies since it had good reviews on here. We ordered the steak and onion, the mince and cheese and the curry. We also ordered the 3 desserts and the viafala coconut drink. First off, these pies come out and they are HOT! Even after waiting 10 minutes for them to cool down they are still extremely hot, so be careful before biting into them or you will burn the roof of your mouth like I did. But they are so good!!! Each one had such great flavor. My favorites were the mince and the curry ones. The crust was nice and flaky too. We tried the trifles and they were both delicious! The chocolate one with the brownies was nice and rich. We loved it. Our favorite was the strawberry though. It was really refreshing and we would definitely order it again. The cream puff was really good too but everyone's favorite was the strawberry trifle. We also loved the coconut pineapple drink. It was really good and not too sweet, which I loved. I finally went to the Kiwi Korner at PCC in Laie. I ordered four minced cheese pies, one chocolate banana trifle, one strawberry trifle and one Vaifala. The service was great and overall all delicious. But, the only thing I disliked to be honest was the Vaifala. It wasn't really Vaifala to me but everything else was bomb. Both locations, absolutely darling people especially at the store. I appreciate they take pride in one speciality and perfect it all the way. This homemade crust, the love for it, and the people we easily eat this 3 times a week sometimes for breakfast too. The crème puffs they used to have, I would put them in the freezer and it would turn into a perfect ice cream sandwich. Since we were on this side of the island we decided to stop by PCC and try their pies. I been following their IG page for a while now but never had a chance to go yet. I couldn't decide which one to try and the girl working told me their most popular pies are the mince and cheese and chicken curry so I got both for us to take home and try. Also got some vaifala. I was expecting the pies were cooled off but to my surprise it was nice and hot. Because it was fresh we wanted to take a bite just to get a first impression and Wow! It's so good! Very flaky and most of all very tasty! Their vaifala is delish, a little thicker than other places I've tried. The only thing is that it's a little more than the other places for the size they give but I would buy it again. Overall our only regret is that we should've bought more lol read more

A few years ago I saw a show on Netflicks called " The Casketeers ". For season 2 the owner had some kind of stomach reduction surgery. He was on a restricted diet but snuck " meat pies " every chance he could. I had never heard of that so when I found out we had a place on Oahu that served up the real deal I just had to try it. My sister took me today ( from Kaneohe ) for my B-day treat - it was better than I could even have hoped for. We bought a minced pie with cheese, a curry chicken, a chicken and vegetable and a steak and onion. Then split them all for lunch and dinner. We loved them and are thankful they are not closer to home cause we would be there every day !
