Birchcliff is the perfect independent cabin resort to get away from the world and bring your kids…read moreto. Located outside of the Wisconsin Dells main drag, but still a short car/bike ride away from town, there are a mix of old-fashioned and new-style cabins to choose from. There are a lot of onsite activities for them (swimming, goat feeding, sports, hiking, rattling around the game room) and plenty of space for them to run off their energy on. They offer coupons for local businesses and free passes to local water parks. There are firepits and picnic tables, and most cabins seem to have basic amenities like mini fridges, coffee makers and microwaves. Birchcliff even has wifi available at the main office for people who can't disconnect from the outside world completely. The staff is considerate and helpful, seeming to be all members of the same family which is a positive in itself. It's a warm and friendly environment, which is why we've chosen it several times as the site for a family reunion. The only downside is Birchcliff seems to have a problem getting people to follow their non-smoking policy for the inside of their cabins. People are allowed to smoke outside of their cabins and are even provided ashtrays, but twice in two years we've arrived to find our cabin permeated with cigarette smoke from the previous guests, making it unusable. Sydney was kind enough to work with us this most recent time and help find us an alternative cabin to use for 2 of the 3 nights we were in the Dells, but the third night they were otherwise completely booked and we had to go offsite. So this half of the review is for prospective resort guests - Please quit being inconsiderate and lazy about your smoking! Walk the 5 steps outside and smoke there, not in the cabins where it makes everything reek and can cause serious allergic reactions in people that come after you! And even if you don't care about other people, the $500 cleaning charge they will hit you with should motivate you to go outside.

The room was clean, beds where made, the floors honestly looked freshly swept or mopped. The a/c worked great and no smell to the room! Room service needs to be called in order for them to come to you, but I called around 2:30pm for new towels and they brought them not even 10 mins later! The showers are a good size and the bathrooms were clean! My lack of stars is actually for the pool area + arcade. I hate the time limits on things like the hot tub and warming pools. As well as not enough tubes for the lazy river/ rides! The arcade is also more for younger kids but no issue there other than the workers! The card machine ate $80 of cash and they said there was nothing they could do about it! I had to call and complain a few times for them to offer money back. But no one working on site was any help at all. Honestly horrible staff other than front desk and the room service! Overall super fun experience! 26F, 26M, 17M, 18 month baby and two 60yos!

I decided on this place since they had a few unique slides and such a unique look! plus you got 2 parks in one. I am not a go kart person and they have quite a lot of them. My husband enjoyed those. I just watched. I really wanted to try the roller coasters and I was so lucky with NO lines. The 4 wooden coasters are rough and very intense rides. Would I ride them again? Probably not. But I was so glad I could try them. The waterpark was fun. I did spend most of my time in the indoor portion. However, I really enjoyed the lazy river outside. The crazy wave pool with the 9 foot waves ... scary and crazy... Also not for me but I enjoyed people watching. The rotating slide is really why I was there. I never been on something like this. I think it's the only one in the USA and wow was it weird. It was really fun and different and something I will be probably never experience again. It can give you a little bit of motion sickness due to the movement but if that's not an issue for you, you should be good. I also love a good hot tub which they had. I definitely recommend and would love to come back. It was just so unique and fun.

There are 4 cottages all with the same layout. Each cottage has a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with a fireplace, full kitchen complete with a gas range. It is rented as either a two bedroom (either end of the cottage), three bedroom (an end and the center one bedroom), five bedroom (the entire cottage). It is a timeshare. It can be rented out. We have stayed there at least five times. It is peaceful there even with the construction going on. They recently renovated to make more modern.

I noticed on the website right away that sundara had construction going on. So when I called to reserve I asked right away exactly How the construction would affect our stay. They assured me that where we were going to be staying they wouldn't be working and that all the work was being done on the way opposite side of the resort. So I went Ahead and gladly paid $577 for my over night stay and couples massage. The room was awsome and the massages were great! But then to get woken up at 7:30am with loud banging literally right next door was frustrating. I think it's great your trying to imprOve and expand but then be honest with me and I would have waited to spend my $577 when the construction was over. My friend works construction everyday and took today (Monday) off of work to get away and relax with me and we dealt with it the whole time. Also I think it's pretty unsanitary to have the breakfast food literally NEXT to rooms that are being worked on. I could see dust coming from a room very close to wear all the fruit and other food was laying out.

We got a discount in the restaurant and we could use the amenities free. We took advantage of the whirlpool, sauna, and a wonderful stroll on the Riverwalk that night after dinner at High Rock Cafe. Unfortunately, on the day we visited previous guests had tossed several towels in the pool and nobody had checked the area to clean it. A quick discrete visit to the front desk, took care of that but we opted to stay out of the pool. The Sauna and whirlpool were fabulous! We were lucky enough to have three places to ourselves for anyway an hour before guests showed up with kids. It was a very relaxing way to spend the afternoon before a marvelous dinner. We had planned to come to the restaurant for the advertised brunch the next morning but decided to return home instead. Next time, we're going to hit up the beautiful sky views over the river for brunch! Everywhere we went, people bragged about the menu at The Vue restaurant. It sounds like a great place for adults for any meal!! We were told drinks and appetizers were fabulous! Next time, for sure!! The most amazing part of this property is that it's on a beautiful Riverwalk. After our dinner, we strolled the walk in the cool night. I was a little hesitant and worried about safety, being originally from Chicago! However, there were lots of people walking, an outdoor art exhibit, and the pathway is well lit with entrances to all the Riverwalk businesses a accessible from the cemented pathway. There's also a police station very close by -- near the grocery store. It turned out to be a very lovely walk. I was glad my friend insisted we go. Check out this property. Consider staying at it. It's convenient located near downtown -- close enough to walk to all the shopping and dining you could desire! Many of the main attractions are also downtown. If you're willing to walk (we were), you could be very happy with the convenience of this location.

Viewing…read moretheir site, I reserved the extension building (street view) which is across the street from the "hotel". I reserved the two queen room. The picture of the room in no way reflects what my room looked like AT ALL. Definitely a motel with poor amenities and dirty! I spilled some water on the floor and used a towel to clean it up. The towel ended up completely dirty from wiping the floor (disgusting). Added picture. Also saw a piece of what I think was dried up meat next to the microwave. They indicate you get free WiFi and cable TV. I was unable to get any WiFi unless I went across the street to the lobby. I asked the front desk about it and they use the router from the hotel and expect that the buildings across the street will connect to the signal (no extender). I included a pic of the message I received on all of my devices. When it did connect, it would then indicate "Internet no connection". My nephew wanted to watch a movie so we turned on the TV. Only got 5 of the cable channels and they were 3 news channels and a cartoon channel. All other channels indicated the signal was too weak (again, probably wired into the cable from across the street). As I sat in the lobby over two days when I needed WiFi, I counted 6-7 customers who went to the front desk complaining about various things. The front desk sticks to their script and we're not accommodating or helpful. Always offered to give the money back and the person could go elsewhere. I have never observed so many complaints from a variety of people (in two days) and I do quite a bit of traveling. We have stayed in 4-5 places in the Dells and this is BY FAR the worst accommodations and customer service we have encountered. Even the "free" use of the Natura beach (which is a great perk) won't lure us to stay at a Natura "resort" ever again. Recommendation: STEER CLEAR of their hotel/lodging!!

The indoor pool was absolutely fantastic for the toddlers and even my 7 yr old. Pool stays open late too till around 9-10 depending on date and times. I'm here on a week day and there's plenty of room and free space to roam around. There is a sweet trail and tether ball court as well. They just put in a new playground too for the kids. This place is a gem and the family who runs it is great. You feel like your off in the woods yet your less than a mile walk away from downtown where all the bars are! They also have package deals if you want tickets to water parks or attractions. We went to the deer park, adare go karts, knuckleheads, and a few other things. Great time! The only thing that was challenging was thier website. It isn't very user friendly, the lady at the desk said there are two websites and maybe I was using a different one. Either way this place is awesome and I'll be back for sure. I'm literally going to buy a meadow brook coffee mug because this place is so cool. Can't wait to see this place in the fall and winter. We were in search of a place where we could rent the entire property for our wedding and wanted a place where we could offer all of the ages of the family something to do at any given moment. This place delivered!! My best friend and I called this place on a roadtrip because we found it on google and thought it was worth a shot and Chris the owner answered and was so kind and thoughtful that we detoured and stopped to meet him there in the middle of winter. We chose this place because of him and the fabulous, well kept property. We talked with Chris and his wife several times prior to our August wedding and they were patient with our planning process and able to accommodate all of our requests. We cannot thank them enough for the use of the clubhouse and pool! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that made our stay truly unforgettable.  Chris and his wife Angie, the staff and property were more than we could have dreamed up! The property itself is absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque setting that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere of the Wisconsin River. It was the perfect site for our wedding and family gathering, providing a beautiful backdrop for our special day and ample space for all our guests to relax and enjoy.  The owners went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Their dedication to excellence and genuine care for their guests truly set Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement apart.  Whether you're planning a wedding, a family reunion, or just a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement. We came to Wisconsin on 7/3/26 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. One of the things we got…read moretickets for was the Take Flight experience. We couldn't decide out of the two experience which one to do so we did a double feature. We come into the building on the 4th of July and there is an information desk because the place is loaded with other things to do at the resort. We get to the Take Flight and wait in line until it's time for us to go in. It was a bit of a wait because a group before us had just gone in. We did the Space Flight first. WOW is all I can say! I don't want to give it away but I would recommend the experience. It's full of surprises. We really enjoyed Space Flight. Then we unfortunately had to stand in line again for Wonders of the American West. That wait was even longer. We enjoyed that experience too. We got our pictures taken by a photographer for both experiences and we took advantage of their picture offerings after we were done to remember the experience. The one thing that needs improvement is that you have to be weighed before getting access to the line (which is fine). You have to be less than 325 pounds. There is a red light/green bright circular light on a tall pole right above the scale for everyone to see. It's embarrassing if you step on and it turns red for no entry. That should be moved so only the attendant can see. No one should have anxiety about people seeing if you get a green light or red light. Next we were hungry so we stopped at the Camp Social Burger Bar. Many were hanging out at the bar and the food looked pretty good so we decided to get the Burger BBQ which is an angus beef patty with cheese, bacon and onion strings with bbq sauce. It came with homemade potato chips. Hubby got a pina colada mocktail and they decorated it so pretty with the 4th of July colors and decorations. I must say the burger, chips and the drink were divine. We sat in the seating they have and just chilled which was nice. They have so many other eating places and a candy shop. We really enjoyed our experience there and highly recommend. Thank you Wilderness at the Resort. A+ in our books!

By 10 AM, no one had come, so I called again. They apologized and assured me someone would come up, but once again, no one ever came. The room service honestly did not satisfy me at all--I've had much better experiences elsewhere. When I first arrived, my room also didn't have a bar of hand soap, extra toilet paper, or a channel guide for the TV, which made things a little more inconvenient than they needed to be. That being said, if you're traveling with younger kids, I think this is a great option because there's a lot specifically geared toward them. For teens, though, there are definitely other resorts I'd consider first.
