Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.

When I brought my van in on October 22,2024 I explained there were noises coming from underneath the van. They could not give me a ride , so I had to make arrangements to get a ride to work. They called me to say the van was ready for pickup and they found the exhaust system heat shield on the down pipe loose and rattling and they re-secured it and the noise was gone The total bill was $72.01. However, the noise persist so I took it to another mechanic. The diagnosis was the Left and Right Front Sway Bar Links needed replaced and the repair was done. Since then , the noise was eliminated.
