Great place for fried fast food after an out of town track meet. It's now a tradition to stop here.

So first off I don't think I've ever eaten a chili dog that was better. It is soo good! We sometimes buy their chili by the cup and go home to put it on whatever we want. Lol. Food is great. I love the crinkle cut fries and their onion rings (although make sure you eat onion rings right away...one time I took them back home to Fresno and they weren't near as good as they are when we eat there..of course though duh right? Lol. ) my husband usually gets the chili cheeseburgers and I get the chili cheese dogs. I have tried a few shakes and I'm never disappointed. We always go for the chili so I've never tried anything else there. But CHILI DOGS ARE AMAZING. seriously heaven in a bite! read more

I've been coming here for the past 10 years and every single time I look forward to eating delicious food. Price is cheap and food is good. They have never disappointed me. I will continue to eat here and order their famous chili dogs. The only down side is no restrooms but make up for it with their crinkled fries which are much better than any others. read more

If you want chili in Sanger this is the place to go. it does not matter what you get as long as you get some chili on it your good to go. So glad i don't have to drive miles just get some good chili . Remember to grab plenty of napkins cause it can get a bit messy . They have some picnic tables on site but no inside seating i would not recommend eating in the car read more

Great standard Chili Clark with car trunk sized FrenchFries. Chili dogs are still great 30 Years later!

The Clark burger (Double, Triple) is the first thing you want to have with everything on it! OMG. Add a Banana shake and some fries and you have a full stomach and great memories about each bite you had. Always have a Deluxe Burrito, fries, a chili dog, and you must try the chili cheese fries. I also love the taquitos. Consistently good food and the fries are 1/2 of the experience. I have tried others and none compares to CHUCK WAGON!! read more

In a town full of terrible, this may be the least bad, but that doesnt mean its any good. Sigh..yelp has led me astray, again. Just because someplace has been around longer than most can remember and they have fond childhood memories of it, does not mean its any good. The chili isn't amazing and the portions are small. I just dont get how or why people rate this place so well. Granted, Ive never been to any other nearby restaurants to compare, so maybe this really is the best the thriving metropolis of Sanger has to offer the hungry traveler...but i doubt it. read more

Ok years ago, when another family owned it, it was a great place to eat and it was reasonable. It was clean and the people working there were nice. Now? what a dump, the people working there are rude and appear (been there twice so not judging based on one visit), to be bored. Second time I went it the same, rude. Order was wrong, again. Oh and they accept debit cards but whack you $1.00 but they won't accept credit cards because it's illegal to charge the $1.00 service charge. Seriously, this was once a really neat clean place to go owned by a good family, now it appears the Manson family owns it. read more

Chuck Wagon is a small family owned restaurant and has been around for ages located in Sanger, Ca just 15 minutes east of Fresno, Ca it is definitely the city's trademark and is probably the only reason you would be in Sanger. Chuck Wagon is one of those hole in the wall places, not very appealing to the eye but when you do drive by you wonder why so many people are standing outside this rundown looking Burger Shack ?! But like they say "never judge a book by its cover" cause there's a reason behind this crowd, Chuck Wagon's menu is small and covers your basics Chili Cheese Burger AKA The Clark Burger, Chili Cheese Dog, Chili Cheese Fries, Frito Boat, Fried Mushrooms, etc. Although it can run a lil pricey for it being a hamburger stand it will cost you about $8-$10 per person .... But I do believe it's well worth every penny !!! But whatever you do don't plan on stopping by on Wednesday the only day out of the week they're closed and usually the day I crave a Cheese Fries, Cheeseburger, Fried Mushrooms and a Large Cherry Mountain Dew a personal favorite combination I tend to order when I'm there .... In all I've had other chilli's and nothing come close to Chuck Wagon's Chili I highly recommend this place!! So if your ever in the area do make the drive to Sanger and try it for yourself. read more

Finally after many years of passing by this place I stopped-BAD CHOICE. Outside appearance is dirty and in need of paint and there are no facilities to WASH your hands. Food is mediocre at best. I had the double burger with no cheese and fries. Burger was comparable to a Big Mac without the sauce but fries were good and a nice portion for the price. I DEFINITELY am "one and done" with Chuck Wagon. Too many other better choices-can you say AM/PM burger or chicken sandwich. read more

This is practically a shrine to locals! Everyone knows where it is. I use it as a landmark when giving people directions. Unfortunately the food is waaay overrated. The chili, which is their specialty is greasy. There are generally lines at the order window. It takes quite awhile to get your food. Phoning ahead makes absolutely no difference. All seating is outdoor on picnic tables. I have friends who are happy to eat here every week. Once a year & I'm good. read more

I've been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl.The last year I've been there 4 times and made my recent visit on Sunday. I ordered a chili cheese dog with everything, fries and a small Pepsi and a side of chili to take home. I'm really disappointed now how they have changed the quality of the food including the chili, that is now diluted down. I picked chili up with a spoon and it poured off like soup it had no flavor, and it was bland and that's because it was diluted with water... so they can get more. It is a shame that once this was a establishment where families can bring their kids, for generations to enjoy a meal together. It's sad to see that they are going downhill,and I'm sad that I don't look forward to going here anymore because the last year the food has not been what it always was. I wish the management would read these reviews and try to change the way that they run this restaurant and that we are wanting them to better their selves again and go back to the place that we all love to visit. Not that great at all. I was so excited to come here after hearing all the hype from my local friends.... sorely disappointed. I got the chili cheese fries. Fries were cold, chili was tasteless. I think most of the positive reviews are from locals who grew up on it... but really...not that great at all. Only positive is that its a mom and pop establishment, so for that reason alone I might go back and give it another shot. read more

I had purchased the chili dogs. the so called "Awesome chili sauce" is totally awful and has no flavor or spices. I don't know who is cooking in the back kitchen, but this is no "Great, fantastic, awesome" stuff to eat. As quoted by some people writing the reviews that obviously work at up Chuck Wagon. I'm not from CA but my husband introduced me to Chuck Wagon...they do have great chili. Love the Chili Cheese Fries, Love the Chili Cheese Dog...When the Dog is Actually Hot. The reason for the 3 stars is because the last several times I got the chili cheese dog, the dog was either cold or slightly warm so I wasn't able to enjoy it. Also, it would be nice if I could get the total at the end of the order. Seems like the staff is quick to get off the phone. read more
