This was my first time at this location. I have to say that I feel like Chuck E. Cheese's overall are generally under staffed. The girl at the counter seemed overwhelmed and a little rude. There was a guy there didn't catch his name but he was calm and collected and seemed to be trying to get things done quickly. He was attentive and apologetic. We visited on a Tuesday and they have a Tuesday pizza special. The website says two large pizzas for 22 dollars. The girl said at there location it was two for 26 dollars. The website was wrong. The pizza wait was 45 minutes and there were hardly any people inside. I mean it was a Tuesday. Lol. The facility itself was clean. One of the cleanest Chuck E. Cheese locations that I have been to. I liked that. I also like that games are not too expensive to play. You have to buy a game card, but it's reloadable so keep it for next time. You can choose to load it with unlimited play for X amount of minutes or pay an X amount for so many points. Most games are a point or two to play. Also, every once and a while Chuck E. Cheese will come out and have a dance party with the kids. When he is done he will throw tickets for the kids to grab! Awesome! Overall, it's a good time. The staff was very nice, the games are very fun, and the food was tasty. It was a little bit busy so there was a wait to order and to get prizes but that was expected for Memorial Day weekend so I don't blame them. The guests here are crazy though: the staff was so friendly and nice and trying to handle an upset guest but the guest became so aggressive and angry. He manager Robert didn't deserve to be yelled at I could tell he was doing his best. The guest was so loud we could hear him through all of the music and the kids playing. This place was disgusting! We try not to go to CEC but this time we made an exception and went anyway, but boy was it a mistake. I have never seen a place of business this disgusting before!! We ordered food and told the cashier that all the tables were dirty and to please send someone to clean one. Did she do it? No! We found a decent one and I ended up cleaning it myself. The entire place was a pig sty. Machines out of drinks, salad food left out. Managers getting drinks seeing that there was a mess and just did not care to do anything about it. Went here yesterday and omg.. the min you open the door the smell of old kid vomit hits you in the face. It's a pretty small area.. the employees don't even smile. They look like they don't want to be there. The tables were dirty. Some of the games were broken. Not much to play. Bathrooms were disgusting. No refills either??!!! Smh that dsnt make any sense to put the drink dispensers out were anyone can go get a refill when there's no refill.. and someone watches too to make sure you don't get a refill!!! I took my daughter to Chuck E. Cheese's last night so she could play with her Pre-School classmate. We also met up with her classmates parents t get to know them a little better. I hadn't taken my daughter to Chuck E. Cheese's for a long time, now I know why. I ordered the Munch and Play combo, they have three different combos. You get more tokens (25,50,100), and one more drink with each level (2,3,4), I ordered the first one. I got 1 large pizza, 2 regular drinks, 1 Medium Drink, 1 Salad Bar, 1 12 piece Buffalo Wings, and 25 tokens for 52 dollars. I had to order the Salad Bar ($8), Buffalo Wings ($9 and small), and the Medium drink extra. I really see no Value at this place. I been to Peter Piper Pizza and they have Family Combos with all the food I ordered in 1 combo much cheaper. I really am surprised that this place is busy in this current economy. I really think this place is only for a special occasion. I'll just take my Daughter back to Pat and Oscars where she likes the food much more, and I'll spend a lot less. On the bottom of my reciept I noticed you have to sign up for a online offer they have on money saving coupons. I think you need to do that if you want to go to Chuck E Cheeses, so you don't blow your wad there. They should have better Family combo meals IMO. There's something about the unsupervised kids ramming through a Chuck E. Cheese that can make a good person consider having their tubes tied. This is not the best place to take your honey if you want to encourage them to build a family with you. As far as Chuck E. Cheese restaurants go...this is a decent one on certain levels. It's newer than some of them so it hasn't had a chance to decay too much yet. It has a good assortment of the usual games. That said, we attended a birthday party here recently. I would never hold a kid's birthday party here. The staff here cranked out their usual paint by the numbers party. They lite the candles...the 5 year old blew them out too soon for his wish or for the pictures and believe it or not...the "waiter" assigned to us balked at relighting them....saying, "He blew 'em out already!" They forgot to bring us forks with which to eat the cake and then gave me attitude when I asked for some. They boot you out the very instant your two hour party allotment is finished. They toss you a few "to go" boxes and demand you box up your own food or let them throw it out. If you buy a beer from these people...be prepared to pay premium prices for a foamy pour of second rate suds. No matter how many hours you spend at any Chuck E. Cheese...you could spend all day their with your family...popping money into their games...they couldn't care less...you're restricted to a maximum of two beers for the entire day. Their menu is extremely limited. Their pizza makes the frozen pizzas from your local Ralph's seem like gourmet fare in comparison. Their salad bar is probably the best thing there and it's only barely passable to mediocre. A number of the games gobble your tokens without giving you any play. They have only one person assigned to the floor and authorized to refund your money. If you go...this one at least provides ample parking. Cheese in comparison to other restaurants, party venues or theme parks, believe me: they'd rate one or at best two stars. Yes, all Chuck E. Cheeses, this one is a good one. This is a newer location. Still fresh inside. Well maintained. Nice enough salad bar. Has the newer games. Decent enough service. Plenty of free and easy parking. Service can be the downer here. But hey! This = Chuck E. Cheese, not The Ritz Carlton. Several of the games shortchanged us. We were one of the few customers willing to report this to the management. I ended up here with family that was visiting from Arizona and decided to hang out in San Diego. Three little kids made this place a good stop for a few hours. As seems to be the case with most Chuck-E-Cheeses, there were a ton of games that were either completely broken or malfunctioning to the point of not working properly. The pizza was actually pretty decent. We got a Cheesesteak creation of some sort, plus a typical pepperoni pizza for the kids. The staff was pretty accommodating. We didn't have any issues on that end. I would probably look for a different Chuck-E-Cheese if I ever ended up in a similar situation, but it wasn't exactly the worst. read more

I don't know how to rate this place since I don't frequent pizza kid-gambling annoying establishments like this. The first time I walked in the doors I smelled puke, and boy did it smell strongly for it being 930am. The pizza is very MEH. That is expected I am sure. Their salad bar is fantastic though! Thank heavens for adult food. I think that this place is only bearable during the slow times like right when they open or mid-afternoon. Forget about going to this place on school holidays, but if you DO decide to go on such a day at least they sell beer. You WILL need beer. Chuck E. Cheese is a great place to bring the kids and let them go wild (within reason ofcourse, you still gotta watch them!). There's tons of fun games for all ages, decent pizza and sandwiches. The employees are friendly and helpful. The prices couldn't be more reasonable, especially if you get a coupon from the Sunday paper or get them sent to your email. It's not perfect ofcourse. The bathroom isn't always very clean. Once in a blue moon a game machine will steal a token from you. But I don't think I've ever been to an arcade where a machine hasn't stolen a money from me. Pros: on time, not too busy, happy kids, good price Cons: party host forgot 1,000 tickets for the celebrant + forgot goodie bags (major parts of the mega super star party pack), did not seem too happy, approachable or attentive, other staff at the prize area rude and unhelpful. This is my favorite location by far in San Diego, i like how large it is and the selection of games, also most games are working properly which is great. This is the only one I've been to that. Chuck e actually came out and danced with the kids. But i don't know if they are understaffed or the staff just doesn't care. The girl who was supposed to be at the entrance was always talking to the guy working at the counter to the point people had to call for her to get in. Also when we went to order food it took 30 minutes for someone to even show up at the counter., we order pizza and my boyfriend forgot to get my girl unicorn churros so he placed another order and it took 45 minutes after the rest of the food came out. Now, it could be the fact that I'm not a five year old kid anymore, but I was really disappointed by this place. The entire reason I came here was to play Wack-A-Mole and they didn't even have that game. It's Chuck E Cheese for godssakes! Where the heck is Wack-A-Mole? Isn't that one of their trademark games? Terrible, I mean TERRIBLE service. I waited at the front door with my 2 year old for someone to stamp our hands and let us in for close to 5 minutes. I could see one of the staff sitting at a table talking on his cell phone while we waited. He saw us standing there, but took forever to get up. The same thing happened when we wanted to buy tokens. Waited another 5 minutes for a different staff member to help us. AND she answered the phone before helping me! This Chuck E. Cheese is awesome. Theres a closer one to my house, but its always messy, there's always games out of service, and the fountain drink dispenser is always broken. So my family's main choice is this Sports Arena location. This place is always clean, bigger lay out, great staff, and plenty of games for all ages. I reserved my son's bday party here and it was great!! It was my first time reserving (online reserve) and I was a little worried about how things would turn out. When we got there we were greeted by our hostess and store manager. Our hostess, Ashley, did a fantastic job walking us thru the menu options, and told us better deal combos. She was awesome!! Chuck E Cheese's is certainty not a place that I look forward to going to but my daughter really does love it. The games are fairly inexpensive and the prizes are as well. They also allow you to purchase the prizes with cash if you didn't earn enough tickets (its actually way cheaper to buy the prizes). The pizza is about what I remember from my high school cafeteria but to a kid its great. Many of the games are cheap and or broken but again the kids seem to love it. Although my daughter prefers Dave and Busters hands down, its a cheap alternative that she is always happy with. read more
