Best Claw Machine Arcade in San Diego! I have mainly been to the Wawa Claw locations in Torrance and Gardena, so I was excited to visit the new San Diego location during a day trip last month. - Parking: Convoy is a busy area and this parking lot is packed. There is paid parking but we easily found street parking - Price: Affordable token packages. All games are 1 token per play ($1) - Prize Trade: ALL prizes are eligible for trade up including Key Chains and the mini ones from the spinning clip game - Plushies: Very cute and high quality prizes in the claw machine and available for trade - Unique Features: Photo Booth and Gachapon (capsule toys) - Customer Service: The owners Sing and Ali are super nice and friendly. I also liked how I saw a paper where they took prize requests and suggestions from customers, they genuinely seem interested in hearing customer feedback. During my visit I won about 6 plushies and did a trade for an authentic Disney Toy Story Alien plushie. While I won a little less compared to my own average, I would say it's still way higher average compared to other San Diego claw arcades that I've been to. If you're having a difficult time winning a prize, just ask the staff to help! I look forward to visiting next time we're back in San Diego!

    Amazing prizes and good quality

Benny was awesome!!!! So fun, supportive and made our experience amazing. We just stumbled in and ended up with a couple of prizes but more than that so much fun!

A solid claw machine store! I consider this cheaper to play as well, only 1 token per machine and tokens are 1 dollar each. They have a variety of choices from Pokemon, sanrio, anime, and other characters. Machines are clean, vibrant, and easy to play. They also have gacha machines in the back and photo booths! We of course took advantage of the photo booth, with hello kitty on it of course. Staff was also polite, helpful, and nice when we had questions or issues. Overall we had a blast! Definitely will be back. Spent 30 dollars and won 4 prizes and got a photobooth shoot.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. I had not been to this shopping center in a while and did not know it is now a pay lot. I didn't pay and am lucky I didn't get towed! They do have parking validation inside Wawa Claw. Brought my 9 year old and one of their friends to see about using this place as a birthday party venue for upcoming birthday. Purchased 60 tokens for $50 and it got us about 15 minutes of play. My kid was only successful in winning one prize, but their friend was able to get three. Ultimately my kid left in tears. The store is very clean and there is a large selection of machines with both large and small prizes. Along the back wall are machines that take 6 or 8 tokens and you get a ball with a figurine in it. Both kids got the same figurine. You can either keep the prizes you won or save them and trade up for other items that are kept on shelves by the cash wrap. We were the only people in the store at the time so it was easy to navigate. It was mostly walking around while the kids tried to decide what machine to use. After spending all their tokens we left. As we were leaving another group was coming in. The parking lot was very busy and parking was very limited. It is also a very long narrow lot with small tight spaces. If you have a larger vehicle it may be harder to get in and out. Overall this would be a fun experience for people not expecting to win or who are very skilled at claw machines. It is not an experience I personally will be coming back to as it was pretty pricey for the amount of prizes we took home. This venue did not work for me personally as a party venue as it is very narrow inside and it looked like they had a room at the back that may work for parties based on others photos. I did not talk to the employee about what the space looks like for a party because I realized the venue would not work for us. It is something I will keep in mind for the future as it may be an activity my child could enjoy when older. The difficulty of parking as the lot is shared with several businesses was also a deciding factor in it not being a venue that would work for my needs. It was a neat experience and I am glad that claw machine places are making their way to San Diego.

A claw machine paradise! My kid and didn't even know what hit him when we walked in. So many stuffy's so many chances to win. I love this place because he kept it simple. All claw machines and a few Photo Booths. Each game is one token and they have different token packages. What I love about this place is that you can trade in your stuffy's for a different prize. Because let's be real, who needs 15 stuffed animals. They also have some really great packages for private events. I'm looking forward to booking an event with them for another party. This place is a real crowd pleaser for everyone in the family. Tip - this the spot is in a highly sought out convoy strip mall. You need to validate your parking with them if you're there. Parking police likes to go around policing.

I walked into a soft opening coincidentally. The owner was very generous and had food out for us to enjoy the opening. There were donuts, supposedly pizza, soda, cookies, brownies, coffee, and water. Amazing experience in just a span of an hour. I was just at another claw machine place called kawaii house and honestly I felt like Wawa claws was better because Wawa house was one token a play. Kawaii house was two tokens a play. However, I will say that kawaii house guarantees a free plush if u don't get anything at all. I won three plushies to my liking and I will surely go back to this store. Amazing owner and amazing employees!! Hint: If the plush is in a very tight spot for u, an employee will try to fix it for u if u ask nicely. Fun fact: if someone wins a plush, all the machines will light up around you at the same time

AI created to take daughter out of the photo. Set up in the back wall of the store.

We had my daughter's 5th birthday here. They made everything so easy, and were very accommodating. There was a small hiccup with some balloons, which was not a big deal at all. However, the owner insisted he make it right. He personally went to grab some balloons himself. Benny was also so helpful, and came around the floor to make sure things were running smoothly. There were about 10 kids and 10 adults total. Perfect size of a place for 2 hours, and private to only our party. We will definitely return again for some fun, and their cute prizes. Thanks again Wawa Claw!

    So many machines!

Wawa Claw is such a fun addition to Kearny Mesa! From the moment you walk in, the energy is great and the place is super clean, well organized, and honestly way more fun than I expected. The claw machines are stocked with good prizes (not the impossible-to-win kind), and it's easy to lose track of time once you get going. It's perfect for a friends' night out, but I also saw families and couples having a great time. My husband came with me and ended up getting way more into it than he thought he would. Ali, who works there, was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. She took the time to explain how everything works and even helped me plan a future group party, which made the whole experience feel really personal and well run. Parking can be a bit tough on busy nights, but honestly that's everywhere in Kearny Mesa and it's absolutely worth the wait. I'll definitely be back and would 100% recommend checking it out if you're looking for something fun and different to do in the area.

Checked out Wawa Claw after lunch with the family on Saturday. My husband had been excitedly talking about seeing it in passing when he ran errands, and he really wanted to bring our daughter. We chose to have lunch in the area, and then bee-lined to Wawa Claw. The parking lot is a bit tight, and there are a few popular businesses in the same complex. We managed to find a spot right in front. It's a small space, but the walls were lined with glowing claw machines filled with medium-sized prizes. The center also had claw machines filled with small prizes. In the back-right corner is a bank of gashapon capsule toy vending machines. The back right corner had 2 photo booths, but someone was working on them, so we did not take any fun photos. The machines use tokens that can be purchased from either the token machines (cash) or from the register at the prize counter if you are using card. There are small plastic baskets on top of the vending machines to carry your tokens. Token packages start at $10 for 10 tokens, but you get more tokens if you spend more money. Each machine requires 1 token per play. The gashapon machines are 8 tokens for 1 capsule. I don't know how much the photos cost, but that can be found out on our next visit. The prize counter has larger, sometimes giant prizes. You just have to trade smaller prizes to go towards a larger one. Wawa Claw just opened last Monday. It was pretty quiet when we were there. We were the only ones there, but other people began to arrive. Looking forward to coming back again for some quick fun. Accessibility notes: Handicap accessible parking spaces located a little farther (Closer to Common Theory), but location is flat with wide spaces between the rows of machines.

    Jiggly Puff!!

We were dining at common theory and walked by afterwards. Won myself a cute little jiggly puff. The prize seemed legit and it was fun after a few rounds of shots.

Super fun experience with the kids! There's claw machines, capsules, and this cool kinda spin the wheel machine. We all went home with some new fun toys. Don't forget the cute photo booth in the back

If you want to try something different, you can swap out your glass and keep exploring. The same tap card also activates all of the arcade games, which I thought was a really cool touch. It makes everything feel connected instead of having to carry around a bunch of tokens or cash. When I visited, they were hosting trivia night. It definitely brought in a crowd. Most of the tables were full, so walking around got a little tight because the space isn't very big. Even so, the atmosphere was lively. It felt like everyone was having a good time. What a good laugh- glad there's people out there with a sense of humor! I loved it! Got inside had my bags checked and once indoors I felt like a little kid in an arcade! Oh wait, I was in an arcade! Overall great experience, lots of fun for everyone. Location is at the mall so you know there's plenty of parking!

I primarily come to play the claw games, and I do notice that you get to hit payout more frequently if there are large parties also playing with you. So this past weekend I came for a birthday party, we booked a large karaoke room which came out to be $15 per head which came with pizzas. It was actually super fun, my only gripe was the AC wasn't working in the karaoke room. The pizzas were surprisingly SUUUUPER GOOD!! They're fluffy and thick, they come out fresh, honestly I was amazed at how good it was. Will definitely come back for pizza and claw games! Pro tip is if you join the membership (it's a $5 annual fee, and you get the new "gamer" card), you can actually add your old cards to your account via the app and access the same point discounts to load on your older cards.

Great local bar with phenomenal service on the day shifts and the night, if management sees this please add Tani to the night shifts she'd be a great addition to the already all star cast that works the evening.

A group of friends and I ventured in, one Saturday night in June for a few drinks and some good clean fun. We were all shocked to find the parking lot packed! We all kind of agreed that it had been at least four years since any of us had been to the venue. Brewski's got a makeover! More games. Refillable "token" cards. Loads of tables and chairs and a large patio. The bar was redone as well and took up the main long wall of the bar. It is now a cool arcade bar. The bartenders were quick and efficient. They made really good cocktails and even suggested a few. Loved the token cards. They were easy to fill and even worked on the jukebox so that's where all of my money went. I love jukeboxes!!! There were several large parties in the bar when we arrived but it was still easy to get around and find something to play. We had a great time and already made plans to go back for another group outing. Brewski's, you've outdone yourself!
