I haven't been to a Chuck E. Cheese in maybe 25 years. It's definitely changed a lot -- no more animatronic animals on a stage (sad face) -- but I was happy with what I found. We came to this Chuck E. Cheese for my niece's birthday. Some things to know before you go: * We enjoyed how the game cards work for kids who attend parties. Rather than getting a set amount to spend on the games, the cards are good for unlimited games during a set time period (I think it was either 90 or 120 minutes). So they were able to play and earn tickets that entire time. * And if you play games, you'll get enough tickets to come home with something fun. My kids got several little toys and trinkets from the prize counter. * All kids who attend a party also get a little party bag with more in it. * Every once in a while the mouse himself comes out for pics, which many of the kids had fun with. * If you want to play in the jungle gym area, that costs extra. It was $10 I believe, and the kid gets to keep the grippy socks. * I also appreciate that when you come in, families get the same infrared code stamped on them, and when you leave, the staff make sure that everyone in the family is present and going home with who they came with -- a good kid safety measure. The games were fun and kept my kids entertained for more than an hour. And the pizza was a treat as well. This is a solid option for birthday parties! read more

Great Chuck E Cheese!! Friendly People!! Staff is Prompt and Kind. They seem to clean and take care of the place very well. Only thing is the trash was just a little bit full. The jungle gym is so fun and Our Little guy enjoyed it sooooo much! Fries were served with Ranch AND ketchup... interesting flavor! Good Prices of course and the bathrooms were well kept. I've never been to Chuck E. Cheese, and I thought for sure that a weekday night would be quiet... I was very, very wrong. Wait times to even order/ pay, let alone for food, were insane. Waited well over 20 minutes for each. There was very little supervision of most kids, and the workers paid even less attention. When we went to leave and my kiddo picked out her prizes from her tickets, the employee handed her the completely wrong things and then walked away. Went here for my 15th birthday with my sister to play some games and to relive my 6th birthday. Tell me why there was no animatronics, not employee dressed as Chuck, and no stage for the mascots?! And also tell me why the games were mostly rigged, the ball drop game had one ball instead of 5 and tell me why they didn't even have the mascot in person for a child's birthday party?! Literally never coming back if they don't fix how it was. They were playing weird kids bop music "old town road" which literally talks about lean and other drugs. Like this place is not the same as it used to be and I absolutely hate it. They had this big screens beside two TV's playing shitty music is when they could have just played their music that they have been making for years. I think it's important to remember that Chuck E. Cheese is a place for kids not really for adults. We ordered the number four which is a large cheese or single topping pizza with the appetizer sampler and four drinks. We got both the kids at a 30 minute playing card, which gives you access to the majority of games in the playing area. It's Saturday at 2:30 and the place is pretty busy. I took a picture of the number four and for $40. I'm perfectly fine with the quality and quantity for what we got the staff was very friendly and my kids really enjoyed the play. For a total expense of $85 I really couldn't complain. We might come back again, eventually. I will make one note that the machines have obviously had some serious wear and tear and several of them had issues. The entire restaurant was fairly clean, so I was happy about that. read more

The frontline ladies were cold, unhappy joy killers. Consider hiring college kids to run this place not people who don't enjoy the fun atmosphere. I waited at the counter while one young lady was fiddling around with something. The other lady came out and verbally harassed one young man. "You need to be out here!" He was actually there just waiting. She yelled at another young man, "where were you?" He was sweet also and said he was gone for a minute, which is true. She didn't address the young lady who was too busy to wait on me. Apparently, that's acceptable for her. Unbelievable. The makeover is amazing but you need to makeover your management. I've never left a bad review in my life but the short haired lady up front was so rude to everyone I saw her communicate with. When she was rude to me I figured maybe she was stressed and busy which is understandable but I also watched her do the same to several other coworkers and the reason I decided to write this review is because I watched her shove a cart towards the poor girl at the ticket counter and call her a stupid **** (who was beyond kind, and continued to help the long line of kids with kindness and patience even while basically being verbally harassed by someone twice her age) Everyone else was super nice but seeing the way she treats her coworkers is enough for me to never come back. First time coming here in about seven years. They were recently remodeled in March. Very clean was incredibly impressed. Very optimistic. I'm coming because of Covid had ruined a lot of indoor places. 10 out of 10 would recommend. We got two large pizzas five drinks and 4x one hour passes for about $130. Just hosted our daughters 5th birthday here this past weekend and it was wonderful! This specific location is the exception. It has been remodeled, it's clean and updated. We live closer to a different location but specifically drove to this one because of how great it is. Had a wonderful party host who literally handled everything for us. Pricing wasn't terrible and they still have great pizza. Would definitely host a party here again and I hope other local locations take note and get some upgrades. read more

Ordered a personal size pizza at 1:22pm it is now 2:29pm I never received the pizza I had to demand a refund for the pizza I never received. The manager Destiny was not helpful! And I asked if they were going to make the pizza they said no. Terrible business. We've had surprisingly good experiences here. We have been going a couple of times a month since last fall and have found it to be a great, cost effective way to have some fun with our toddler and let him get energy out on days with bad weather. Some of the staff don't seem very concerned with customer issues and sometimes the machines aren't all working, but you really can't beat the all-you-can-play cards. It's usually $12-$15 for 45 minutes and it's enough to truly exhaust our son. For a comparable amount of playtime, we spend about $50 at Dave & Buster's. We've only ordered food one time. The small pizzas were pretty small, but it is a place geared toward kids, so that probably makes sense. The salad bar was not amazing, but it worked in a pinch. Generally, the food is overpriced, but that's not why we are visiting anyway. We usually just go to Orange Leaf next door after our time is up as an extra special treat and a way to entice our toddler leave without a fit. read more

Took my twins here, age 9, on a random Saturday when the weather was to rainy to be outside. Let me start by saying I haven't set foot in a Chuck E. Cheese since I was about 7 years old myself. We had just come from breakfast so we didn't bother with ordering any food. I got them each an unlimited play pass for 60 minutes. The boys had a blast. The games were fun, my husband and I were able to play with the boys and interact which I thought was great. We do a lot of indoor playgrounds and that's a lot of parents watching and kids playing. Being able to play the games with the kids was a huge bonus for us. They each won about 900 tickets in the end. The prizes are the usual junk you would expect but they didn't care, they loved it. The girl behind the prize counter was so sweet and patient with my boys. I don't know that we'd plan a party here, but we'll definitely come back for another fun day of play. read more

This place is awful. Half the games are broken but still manage to take points if you don't have the all you can play. The place is dirty and unkept. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. One stall the toilet over flowed and there was water all over the floor, toilet paper was empty and strung all over the floor. And the cookie that comes with it is depicted on big bill board menu as a huge cookie cake was more like a single layer small cake. My friend also ordered chicken wings and asked for celery in place of the fries. was told ok. first of all, the chicken wings were 2 chicken nuggets. and no celery. When asked we were told "we don't have that.". So why is a photo of REAL chicken wings with 5 pieces of celery on the bill board menu????? Over $150 was spent WAS OFFERED NOTHING to fix our issues. After reading all the negative reviews I got a little worried about taking my kids but the place was great. It was crowded but that's just part of experience. From what I saw the place was busy and clean for the most part. I didn't try the food or use the bathrooms while we were there so I can't comment on those. My only gripe I guess would be the tickets per game or the cost of the prizes. Think we spent roughly 70 for 3 kids across an hour and most they got was finger things and suckers. read more

We went to Chuck E Cheese's yesterday for our son's birthday party. I know, I know the question is "Am I outta my mind?" We told our son 1 time and he wanted to do it this year. Never having a party here before we had no idea of what was going to go on. We got there and was greeted at the door by our hostess (Jessica) she was amazing. Explained when the food would be out, when the kids had playtime, cake, Chuck E meet and birthday song, and Ticket blaster booth. Everything happened right on time and it couldn't of gone smoother!! I truly wish I could rate this store as a 0. My daughter and I came to celebrate her 6th birthday and when we arrived there was a woman/girl (shorter African American girl with short hair) outside smoking a cigarette. I hate seeing that but figured she was on a break and as I entered she sped past us and the older woman at check in asked her if she was on a break and she said "no". There was a customer at the counter just waiting with no employees in sight. Then when it was our time she was friendly but slow as three families got in line behind us and no one else to assist. We played some games and several were not working and a couple didn't spit out tickets as they should have; much to my daughters dismay. It was clear it would be nearly impossible to get help so we took the loss. Then when it was time to redeem our tickets there were no employees to be found anywhere so we waited. At the 5 minute mark I asked the older woman (only one doing her job it appeared) if someone could help us and she said someone would be right there. Someone was NOT right there. About 5 minutes later the smoker, shorter, employee turned up by counter and I said, "can we please get some help?" And she said,"in a minute" and then proceeded to assist someone at the food counter that has JUST gotten to the counter. Out of no where a different woman (longer haired, African American girl/woman) came to assist us --- where the heck was she for the 10 minutes we'd been waiting (there were less then 20 patrons in the restaurant) At the very least she was helpful and sweet with my daughter and calmed me a bit from my anger. The older woman at check out was very sweet and again the only one that was visible while we were there for the most part. This experience makes me furious that I still have nearly 200 tokens that will either be sold or wasted as we went from wanting to plan our daughters next birthday there to NEVER setting foot in this establishment again. If there are not enough employees-- CLOSE- during slower times. Because you just lost a customer for life... my children, their children and anyone else I can convince will not enter this establishment... wish I could get my time and money back but at least thy can't waste more of it. I will be following this up with a letter to their corporate office as people should get better service when overpaying for greasy, over-priced food and games that often don't work or give the promised tickets to a hopeful 6 year old. read more

Let me preface this review by setting the scene. We arrived shortly before 7pm with our grandchildren. Two girls whom are 3 and 4 years old. The ball pit, gone. The games are inappropriate for children of this age. The selection of games has shrunk over the years. The room feels very empty and the prices have gone up. We ordered immediately upon arrival, a large cheese pizza and two salad bars. The salad bar consists of a dozen small containers of pre-packaged things and costs $9. We were given a pager after ordering and went to find a table. The kids were wandering around the game room and I sat at the table with the timer. 7:30 comes and goes, no buzz, no food. One employee man's the gate where parents and children are checked at the door before leaving. One employee man's the register and one more roams the floor. The young man roaming the floor seems to have the job of apologizing to the customers. There was a birthday party going on with maybe a half dozen children. I could over hear them talking about how they hadn't gotten their food. I am not sure how long they had been there, but looked very angry so I assume a long while. 7:45 comes and goes, still no buzz, no food. The kids make trips between the table and game room for a drink now and then. 8:00pm comes and goes, no buzz, no food. The birthday party finally receives their food and it was wrong. The manager finally shows up on the floor to apologize and deal with the angry parents at the birthday party. The kids had discovered the booster seats and drug two over to the table. I picked up one to put it in the chair and stuck to it. I literally stuck to the booster seat, my hand was covered in some kind of dried sticky coating. not a spot, but covering the entire booster seat. 8:30pm comes and goes, no buzz, no food. The parents at the birthday party are complaining to each other about the food, service, cleanliness and I was right there with them. The entire place had maybe 20 people in it including kids. There was no rush, no crowd... it was mostly empty. 8:45pm comes and goes, no buzz, no food. Fed up we went to the front counter and turned in the pager. Canceled our order and demanded a refund. The manager must be very used to this scenario as the refund process was complicated but she danced through it like a pro. No apologies were given, no words exchanged. Business as usual. We spent over $60 on what i'm sure would have been a crappy plain pizza and two game passes (which lasted about 30 minutes). I read on the sign that on Wednesdays kids can get passes with unlimited game play... for $15 an hour. $15 an hour to play skeeball. We will not be returning. They could bulldoze the building. Build a NEW building. Hire NEW staff and we still... would not go back. This was the WORST experience I have EVER had at ANY restaurant on ANY occasion at ANY price. WORST ESTABLISHMENT IN FLORENCE and I am NOT exaggerating. If I could rate this place a -10 out of 10 I would. read more

The only employee in sight was the lady stamping hands. She had to call someone to the front to help us. We ordered their lunch buffet with "endless salad bar". I am not going to comment on the food because the taste remains the same with the rest of the Chuck E Cheese's in The United States. I only like the Salad Bar Buffett and that's about it. There's a lot of negative reviews for this place but I honestly can't say enough good about it. I took the two 7 year old boys I nanny here and they loved it. They switched from a token system to a card system. It just runs off time so you pay for a certain amount of time and your card to play games works for that long. You can also pause the time on a kiosk (bathroom breaks, lunch breaks, etc). The kiddos I nanny are sweethearts but both have developmental delays & one has Autism. We ordered a pizza and it came out (as it should have) with sauce. Of course this was the end all be all for my poor baby, he went into a sensory overload fit and the manger, Denise, was so understanding. She took the time to ask us where our table was, make us a sauce less pizza and even bring it to us. Also when we went into cash our tickets out for prizes the kiddos didn't have enough to get what they really wanted by about 15 tickets and they let them have it anyway! Also the man who was in charge of fixing the games was on top of everything. He also kept walking around with large stacks of tickets and handing them to kiddos and parents, just because. I had a great experience here and I am very happy with how helpful they were with my kiddos "meltdown". read more

This visit was only marginally better than the last visit. After waiting 15 minutes in line upon entering just to order food we struggled to find a clean table. During our time there nobody made an effort to come clean the tables, and the garbage cans we're overflowing. It took 35 minutes to get our 2 pepperoni pizzas which was an improvement over the last visit. Also on the plus side the drink machines stayed stocked with ice. There are still major issues with the management of this facility. If only we could talk our daughter into going somewhere else when it's her turn to pick dinner. read more

Worst. Birthday. Party. Ever. This place was so sad, had my granddaughters birthday party there. Just horrible service. My daughter-in-law bought the $300 dollar package. They did not get half of the things promised for what they paid. At the end of the party only three of the four pizzas had been delivered, the ice cream was brought out after several kids had left. The restaurant was hot, understaffed, and messy. I cannot believe how they were treated, I told her not to pay the full amount. I always try to give a place the benefit of the doubt... but there was no effort on the part of the management or employees to make up for the shoddy service. If you're planning a party for your kids and you want something special... go somewhere else. Yeah, I know it's Chuck E Cheese and it's not going to be top notch but this wasn't even close. There is no point in going here. Its been the same since 2000-2001. Anymore, every time you come here, a quarter of the games don't work plus a few more that they haven't got around to tagging as broke. I would say half of the games at any given time do not work properly. Spend an extra ten dollars and go to Dave and busters. Your kids will actually win more than 1-10 tickets on almost every play and they rewards are 10x more better for the money. At Chuck e cheese you are paying a minimum of 10 dollars for about 2-3 prizes, if you have a younger child, mine is 4, that have less value than dollar store toys. I attended my nieces birthday party last night. 11/09/2018 She was so excited to have her party here and my sister put a lot of time into this and also a lot of money. My niece had a blast! Which is what matters. However, This place sucked!! The poor young man who was the party host was the only one who tried to make this an enjoyable experience was told that since he had 2 or 3 bad party reviews that he was being demoted from party host. Wake up Chuck E Cheese!! You dirty RAT, I'm sure that you must realize that it wasn't the young mans fault. You are over priced, food was nasty, service was extremely slow. That poor young man was pulled in 15 directions the whole party. His job shouldn't be on the line. It should be managements!! She walks back over to the bar and takes the lid off of the lettuce. I said " Hun I need a plate you didn't give me one yet" She says ...... I need to see your receipt!!! with an attitude. I said What? You just rang me up and Ive been waiting 12 minutes for you to finally put some good lettuce in here and you ask me for a receipt. I said Im getting a manager. I went to the back and the young man party host jumped in and asked what was wrong. I explained it to him. He said come on and I will get you a plate. I said Thank You and walked up front. HE GAVE ME A PLATE.... I showed him the receipt. He asked if there was anything else he could do. I said yes, give me a kids cup for my inconvenience and her inconsideration. He did and she jumped over towards him and said SCREAMING!! DONT GIVE HER A CUP SHE DIDNT PAY FOR IT. I told her she needed to shut your mouth. She screamed IM NOT PUTTING UP WITH THIS. Went to chuckle cheese today. It was the worse place ever. The building inside was dirty and looks old. At least half of the machines were either broke completely or they are out of tickets. Ask many times about the machines and never got an answer, one time they just handed me a single token. A 3 year old doesn't understand why she isn't getting tickets. Ready to leave and cash in tickets but only 2 of the four machines worked , after waiting in line for 25 minutes we just took tickets home with us. It wasn't worth the wait to get a couple pieces of candy. Something needs to happen to this place ! read more
