I would love to gatekeep this place, but I can't. It's amazing. The main areas have been redone. They have pizza(good) and a salad bar. You can do $25 unlimited play card for 45 mins. This was great for my 3yr olds birthday party, only thing is, just depending on your child's personality, they may get scared of the animatronic band lol!! Otherwise, great staff! Service - Quick game attendants are on it when called to check on the tickets for the machines. Venue - Clean place, everything was up to date , no broken games (unbelievable). I bit on the smaller size compared to S.Cal but good size and kids still have fun. Parking - Plenty of parking outside. Location - A bit harder to find because of all the construction going on around. If I'm not mistaken this is the only Chuck E. Cheese around so I imagine it can get crowded. It's pretty small compared to some others I have been in. The food seemed to be pretty consistent with others. They don't use tokens anymore, you either buy play points or play for a certain amount of time ( 30 minutes, 1 hr etc) and it's placed on a card. I thought that was a great upgrade so you don't have to keep up with hundreds of tokens. Every time you use your card it tells you how much time you have remaining to play. I guess the number of tickets received is what you'd expect from these type of establishments. Maybe they'll get to the point where they load the tickets to the cards as well. I'd say it was average in terms of games. We have gone on a weekday and as soon as they opened on Saturday so we've always beat the crowd. Prices are reasonable with the coupons they always have online. Also sign up for the loyalty program. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The party area is large although we did not use it. I plan to return, it was enough to stimulate my 2 for over an hour. read more

Our 3 year old son was begging to go to Chuck E. Cheese's, so we went at around noon in a Thursday. There were only two other families there at the time, allowing our son to run and play freely. We bought him the 60 minute play card, and he played the entire time. He was able to win a ton of tickets and left with a Chuck E. Cheese ball. He had an absolute blast and I will definitely be taking him again soon. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is a fairly small Chuck E Cheese, but had plenty of games to keep our little guy busy and happy. The facility was very clean and there was a staff member disinfecting the balls in one of the games. Another thing I liked was that the bathrooms were outside the play area and you had to pass by a staff member to get there. I liked that because it seemed as though they had considered bathroom safety as well. We did not eat there, but the buffet bar was clean and there was a large amount of drinks offered at the soda machine. The manager in duty was very nice and even set the characters on stage to sing "Happy Birthday" for one of the families that was there with us. I will definitely be returning to this Chuck E. I went to Chuck E Cheese throughout my childhood - I was pretty obsessed with it. It was just the happiest place on Earth to me. The Durham Chuck E Cheese is actually quite different from the one of my youth. For starters, it's in a pretty hidden/depressed location. Most of the other restaurants or stores around it are empty. The actual size of the game room area is pretty small. The playground tube things don't even have a ball pit (not that I would ever... I'm just describing the size). The pizza is pretty horrible, but who ever said or expected Chuck E Cheese to have good pizza? You don't go to Chuck E Cheese for the food, DUH! Also, the stage show has been on a steady decline since my youth. In MY DAY, they used to have a curtain go up and down... the stage show was a big deal! Today there is no curtain, and Chuck E's eyes were closed the whole time. I will say the videos are mildly entertaining. On to the games: skeeball is my beat. I usually just play skeeball the entire time. Now there are nicer arcades in the triangle, but they don't always have good skeeball machines. The machines at Chuck's have wooden balls and plastic protectors to keep you from running up and cheating. Not the best skeeball machines in the world, but wayyyy better than Frankie's. When my back was sore from skeeball, I tried to find other games to play. Most of the games have more to do with gambling than with skill. Selection is meh, and doesn't come anywhere near as good or large as Frankie's. I should mention I'm not just a creepster adult who goes to Chuck E Cheese alone. My nephews always have a good time, and I enjoy giving them all my tickets! I feel like I have to defend the place some. A bunch of screaming kids running around is hell, but Monday through Thursday, this location is REALLY quiet, and a good time can be had by all (well, minus the food). read more

I called on 8/9/22 and ask to speak to a manger about bringing some of my students to a mega party VIP for 8/13/22. I just wanted my girls to have a great bonding time and make some memories. The manger on duty name is Sylvia. Sylvia wouldn't talk to me. Sylvia brushed me off like she didn't care. I heard how she acted/talked to the worker about me. Very unprofessional of her to do so in my opinon. She told the worker to tell me to look online. The worker tried to give her the phone to better help me. The worker even told Sylvia that she need her to talk to me to help answer my questions. But that didn't matter. The worker should be the manger and not Sylvia. I think this was just an awful experience and I never even made it inside the facility. So my advice for anyone who wants to go don't go if Sylvia is working. I don't want anyone to go through what I did. I never write reviews but I felt that I needed to this time. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Just sad!! read more

They seem to juggle crazy, mostly unsupervised children (wth?), constantly malfunctioning machines (mostly due to user error) and demanding parents with a passable restaurant...all with a smile and stellar attitude. This was my first time visiting Chuck E. Cheese and I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was so very friendly, efficient and downright nice. The food also was good and my niece and nephew had a blast. We also had a situation where one of our family members fell outside and suffered an eye injury. The staff called the EMTs and sent another part-time staff member, who is a EMT out to help our family member. I can't say enough about the management and staff at this location and how much we appreciate all they did for us today. Thank you. Also, I thought the pizza was very good!! What happened to the play/tubes area? It's been removed so now it's just arcade games. I've been to this location with my son a few times but on this occasion there were some games that just weren't working and shut down. There's also a dirty old cotton candy machine in the corner. Went recently for a birthday party. The last time I was at a Chuck E Cheese was probably 20 years ago, when I worked at one. I was very surprised that the pizza was excellent, with a nice crispy thin(ner) crust. The employees were quite attentive for the party groups and anyone else. This place is rather small compared to the previous ones I have been to, but it does the job and all the kids had fun. It was nice to see security at the front door to control who goes in and out and everyone is with the right persons. It's in a rather odd location, but it isn't difficult to get to or out of. I am surprised there isn't one in Cary/Apex to round out the Triangle, especially as there is not a ton of places to have parties for kids. I'll be taking my child back for non-party fun. read more
