So, I went to Chuck E. Cheese for my great-niece's birthday -- and let me tell you, it's not the magical pizza-and-token wonderland it once was. The first red flag? No one was at the entrance. Literally no one. Kids could have walked right out and started new lives lol. My niece had a reserved table, which came with pizza and soda for six people. Sounds decent, right? But any extra food had to be bought separately. My daughter and I got one pizza, breadsticks, and a drink, and the bill came to $40. For that price, I expected soda to be served from a machine, not poured out of a 2-liter bottle by an employee sitting at a table like it was a backyard BBQ. The restrooms were also not to standard. And the old look and feel or "fun" is no more. And don't even ask about the legendary ball pit -- it's gone. Vanished. Replaced with a trampoline area that costs an extra $5 per kid. Basically, your child can bounce, but only if your wallet is ready to bounce too. The games?... not as fun as they use to be. The pizza? A far cry from what I remember... I used to love Chuck E Cheese pizza lol. Parents and caregivers, if you're hoping for a blast of childhood nostalgia, maybe just rent a bounce house and order in. I arrived with my son and husband for a party for an 8 year old. We were stamped and checked in. I told the young lady we were there for a party and she said "they're probably over there somewhere" There were so many games broken. The ticket counters are down to 2 working machines. People are lined up to cash out. There is a stale odor most likely from the carpet. I don't know where the employees are...kids are climbing on top if the machines! My son wants to come back, but I will never set foot in this establishment here until management changes a lot of things. read more

The worst, took over 40 minutes to get the cards credited with proper amount of points. A man with a dirty shirt came to assist and told me 3 different reasons why he couldn't or would t do anything. Was dragged here to keep a dear family member company while their child ran amuck. We arrived as soon as it opened, which was great...less kids running around. As you enter you are stamped with ink that is visible by an ultraviolet light to ensure you are "legit" in an atmosphere of kids running about and to ensure the safety of the little ones, but I'm not quite sure how that actually works. Word of advice, keep your eyes on your little ones, which can be quite a challenge in a place full of distractions that blows the mind of children, but to ensure they are safe as they bounce from game to game. There is plenty of seating and the staff was pleasant. We decided to get the lunch buffet special for under $7. It includes unlimited pizza, salad and dessert, which consisted of a sweet dessert pizza concoction. It was okay to say the least. CC also has pizza, gluten free as well. They also have wings, mozzarella sticks, sandwiches and of course fountain drinks. Be sure to go online to find coupons to use as a day here could weigh heavy on the pocket. They have various pizza deals that include pizza, drinks and tokens ( now loaded to a play card) perfect for hosting a get together with your playdate crew or low end birthday celebration. If it's to your fancy, you could go all out and get a CC party, which features balloons, party favors,a cake and reserved seating in the front of the stage (prices vary) where mechanical, life size CC characters blast out songs that can get the kids on their feet and on your nerves. You may even get the chance to met and greet CC on select days. The games and entertainment are suitable for ages 2 and up. I am partial to the Monopoly game and having my portrait sketched in simulated pencil. All games are one token and you can purchase a card loaded with the "tokens"with a pizza package or a la carte. Those things are like Willy Wonka gold and as such, they will sell you a stretch wristband to attach the card so kids won't lose them. Genius! Finally after spending enormous amounts of money reloading those tokens cards, and playing games, most which have tickets as prizes for various levels of "winning", they have a prize counter where you can redeem those tickets for merch ranging from a CC sticker to high end prizes that you know you could have bought cheaper in a traditional store, but it takes the fun out of winning those tickets and it's worth it to see the elation on the face of young kids as they go to claim their prize. All in all, CC is entertaining and a great place to take the kids to burn off some energy. Just make sure you have enough money to fuel that energy. read more

( I guess they been in business for at least 30 years) So even though coming here is like a chore and I try my best not to go... If you come early your will truly be at peace. It is not crowded and the place is really clean. I saw the manager several times out on the floor being very personable. The food is pretty good too as well. Employees sit around as if they waiting for business to pick up. i paid damn near 145 for one pizza (dry as hell) and 6 wings (burnt and covered in extra sauce to cover it) 2 kids cup and a salad plus 2 play cards and 2 unicorn cupcake (i never got but paid for) that way to much for have the games that don't work and employees tell you 'i don't know what to tell you" THE BATHROOM was completely trashed. 5 areas in the bathroom and not one clean. water all over the counters and pee everywhere. i went to take my 4 year old to the bathroom and peed on herself because i was trying to clean a toilet she can use. NASTY as hell and will never ever come back and i wanted my money back but i left to get my daughter home and cleaned up. I have never been that big a fan of Chuck E Cheese but when you need to have a 4 year olds birthday party and they want to come here you have to suck it up and come. This location is in the Westview Shopping center. There is a decent sized parking lot and we came on a Tuesday when not too many other people were there. The lot is badly in need of some attention. Lots of trash and I am not sure id the shopping center or Chuck E Cheese is responsible for cleaning it but someone needs to. It was much nicer than I expected surprisingly enough. It also wasn't that crowded. We got out tables that were already set up for the Birthday party. I ordered a few appetizer plates for the adults to share and some pizza for the kids. The wings were so small and the boneless wings (chicken nuggets) were just as small. The kids had a great time but remember to keep an eye on them. The staff there isn't concerned with what they are doing most look high school aged. I say watch your kids because if they are small some of the older kids will push them out of the way and cut in front of them in line. Most of the games were in working order. The ticket wind tunnel wasn't working and it took them a little bit to get it to function properly. The staff was pretty nice and since it wasn't crowded they allowed us to stay a little over our time limit. My daughter had fun and it was nice not to have to worry about cleaning up at the end. I was about to give them three star but on the way out a huge rat ran in front of my niece and nearly gave her a heart attack. I know they have a rodent as the mascot but they need a exterminator cause they definitely wasn't Chuck E. It's always crowded! It's always kids everywhere! But that is the point of grand old Chuck E ain't it? The first kids party that I went to at this location turned out to be okay for the adults just as much as the kids. Maybe that's because we were playing the games trying to get tickets too. It's the normal Chuck E Cheese that features the stage show with Chuck E and his friends, games, pizza, wings and a mini salad bar. I wasn't too thrilled to eat the food because it is for the little kiddies so I know it wasn't going to impress me any. We did order wings and they were small like pigeon wings and rather plain and dry. The salad bar, though nothing fancy and the fountain drinks will keep you entertained while you wait for the kids to enjoy. I was in heaven playing Skeeball. But I hate when you're getting in the zone and a little rugrat comes along and steals your balls for their game, "Ah, where are you're parents?" I wanted all of my balls so I can get tickets! Then, I spotted the game "Operation" but in bigger form. It's just like the original game but bigger and gives you tickets based on the points system setup for that game. The adults may enjoy racking up tickets for their children on this game and it's easy, it may take you back to your childhood. For the shooters, they have a shooting game in the back near the basketball hoops. It has three different games in one and if you win each challenge you unlock different things. It is for one or two players and it can suck up your tokens if you start getting addicted like I did. Me and my friend were playing this game for 45 minutes straight and pouring sweat everywhere, that was truly my workout for the week. I hate when people are taking over a game and not letting anyone else play. So, some grown men were taking over the basketball hoops and this mother and her like 10 children wanted to get on a game, but they had to wait for the people to stop playing. So the lady did get rude and loud telling the guys that the next game they lose they need to get off the game for the kids. It felt like a fight was looming in the air, I was waiting to see fists fly lol....So be aware if the little kiddies get to whining you may have to deal with their parents. What a great experience! I took my nephew here last night. It was my first time visiting this place so I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was clean and not super noisy for a kids establishment. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was also pretty inexpensive. $22 on a game card really goes a long way. My favorite thing though was finding that there was a salad bar and healthy food options available. I blame myself. I was dead wrong to visit this location -- the Laurel Chuck's is so much better and unfortunately, now I see just how much better it is than the Baltimore location. I'll start w the bad, bc the good is minimal: upon entering, I immediately noticed a crackhead nodding off in one of the booths; opportunity # 1 for me to turn around and do something else w my evening, Im so sorry I didn't! Can you believe I still stood in line and paid to be in there?! Cashier refused to use a coupon from my Kidstuff coupon book, well I'm assuming she refused bc in reality she just turned around and walked away for like 5 min. I still paid and proceeded as if the junkie 10 ft away and the neck rolling, ignorant cashier who wouldn't acknowledge my discount were nothing. Ordered pizza, drinks, wings, 50 points. Fast forward an hour later; points all gone between two kids, and still no food. Most of the games are broken but you don't find that out until your kids have wasted a good 5-10 points on their card. The same guy I noticed bringing food to tables, was the same guy fixing the machines and about 1/2 hour into our visit I noticed him only fixing games and paying tickets to disgruntled, turnt up (not in a good/fun way) parents. So yea no one's food is coming out any time soon. I decided to hold out for the food a little longer, it was a Monday night and we were all wanting dinner that is until my three year old had to use the potty. Oh the restroom.. I was instantly taken aback. The scene in the ladies room was a few notches worse than something out of the movie Saw minus the blood and guts, but instead, other bodily secretions. You don't want to touch anything or even breathe in there, it was so gross. A whole soiled diaper INSIDE one of the toilets. A 1/2 bundle of hair weave inside another. The available stalls that weren't complete crime scenes were not at all much better. We braved the elements as best we could only to realize there was NO SOAP in the dispenser, only a little water mixed w whatever soap had once been inside. Gross!! From there, I went straight to the register to demand my money back, however, the line for the cashiers/registers was so long it would have been out of the door if it weren't for the security checkpoint desk so instead it was curled around into the games/seating area. Now for the good part! There happened to be a manager surrounded by angry (not disgruntled) adults who had paid for unlimited salad bar and there was maybe a handful of lettuce and a couple grape tomatoes in the buffet, said-manager didn't even bother to open her mouth, she knew how pissed everyone was. She just quietly started replenishing the salad bar from an old and dirty looking container and opening ziploc bags from some discreet area behind the bar. My seven year old was watching this go down and couldn't contain himself then hollered out "MOMMY THAT SALAD DOES NOT LOOK FRESH AT ALL" -- I asked him to quiet down, lest people realize I had jumped the line and was in between the angry salad people and the super deluxe long line of customers waiting to pay. Once the manager was done w the "salad" area, she attended to me, refunding my money. I urged several others who were waiting w their receipts to the do the same. There were about 6-7 people who hadn't receive their food after 1-2 hours or more. We got out of there w the quickness after that as the chaotic environment along combination of waiting and poor customer service was a recipe for a severe fight to break out. The food not coming out was awful, the state of the games, was equally bad, but the condition of the restroom was completely unforgivable. Animals shouldn't even be expected to use such facilities, and to think there were kids in the bathroom without shoes on who were going right back to the tunnel/slide thingy to play. Yuck! I might just call the health department on them myself, it was really terrible, yet I played myself bc no one twisted my arm to come there. I hate chuck e. cheese just like the next parent, but it happens to make a great, affordable treat for kids who get good grades and behave most of the time. So its my grandsons birthday and we come out to play. I order a #2 I think (large pizza with 1 topping but I got cheese, small wings, and 4 drinks), a personal supreme, salad bar and another small wing. Grand total $73.94. I go to get my salad and ALL the salad is brown and everything else looks all dried up. Needless to say, I asked for a refund. So 45 min go by and I haven't gotten my food. I see other people who got here way after me eating. I go up to the front to ask for the manager and he would rather debate with me instead of saying he was sorry for the oversight. All the staff has been friendly but the parents of the kids that come here..... Rude is the polite description of some of their behavior. Very dirty bathroom. Unbelievably dirty. Our party was the earliest party scheduled in the morning; however, the bathroom condition looked like nobody cleaned it for several days. First of all, it wasn't as busy as they tried to make it seem. They were turning people away and told my friends there were no tables when there were plenty. They just had to clean them. While I was there, 4 families around me left and their tables were not wiped by the time I left an hour later. Get it together. The real reason they are getting 1 star tho is cause the bathroom was DISGUSTING. There was water everywhere on the floor and the changing table had poop on it. The good part was the food was good, and the games fun. However, they did a bait and switch when we were cashing out our points/tickets. My son choose a ball that was labeled $10.99. We had to buy up to that amount. When we went to pay they charged me $20. I talked to the manager and he said the $10.99 label was a mistake, they had placed it in the wrong location and he could not honor the labeled price, and gave no concessions at all. So I left with a crying kid who thinks I'm a mean parent. This manager made a mistake and would't make it right. He ruined what was supposed to be a fun birthday occasion.
