Great place, enjoyed while on vacation! Huge portions...pizza & pasta feeds 2 easy! Walking distance to many hotels!! Staff very friendly & customer service a plus!! Whimsical & creative decor to even entertain the kids! Will be back to vacation & definitely will go again!! We tried this restaurant based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. Absolutely they are large portions and two people can easily share the pasta. They start you off with warm bread with a basil/ oil dipping sauce. Loved it. I do have to mention that at first they handed us a Spanish menu and wasn't offered anything different until our server saw us struggling. He was fantastic. Quick service. Fantastic food. This is a really good restaurant in the hotel zone. A cheaper alternative to all the fancy high end restaurants. The food was great and the portion size is more than most other places without costing that much. This is the place to go if you are hungry as you will feel full without spending a lot of money. The smoothies we got were really good. We got the snickers smoothie and Ferrero rochet. The beef carpaccio was good and we got a huge portion. The pastas are enough to share for 2 and they even explain that to you. We got the angry shrimp one. Overall, very happy with this place. Recommended. read more

We were there only customers there at about 8pm on a Monday night. The staff and environment were great but the menu prices were steep. My wife and I split a pizza which was very mediocre. The cheese was too greasy and the crust was thin and dried out. There was hardly any pizza sauce to balance the flavor. We needed pizza redemption so the next night we went to the neighboring chain place and got a better pizza for half the cost. Writing this is making me hungry for pizza. Not for this place's though. If you go perhaps try the pasta and hopefully it's better than the pizza. Also have a plan B if the menu prices are steeper than you were expecting. read more

First of all, let it be said that I am NOT a big fan of pizza, even when it is highly praised by other yelpers....but this place will disrupt your idea of what a 'pizza' is....It's a funky place, to say the least, where you walk in at ground level thinking it's tiny in there...but up the stairs, you'll find a second story restaurant that is suprisingly large and decorated in the a most clever way. You can order appetizers, soups and salads...but ask for the special menu of the day....for one low price (about 190 M$) you can get appetizer, soup, salad and all the pizza slices you like, so long as you choose from the selections they offer for the special. How is their pizza different? NO RED SAUCE!!! And the reason why I don't like pizza very much is that I don't like red sauce...never have, never will....not even on pasta...but somehow, this place pulls off a pretty good pizza (honestly, it's more of a flatbread than pizza)...and, and they have a very attentive staff...a bunch of young guys who are so courteous and professional that you'll remember this place and want to return often while you're in the area. Cheester delivers huge delicious portions great for a group or large family. Our family of seven ordered two pastas, two pizzas and one salad. We had enough leftover to feed the entire family for lunch the next day. The average price for each salad, pasta or pizza is $15 USD. The restaurant is creatively decorated. It's fun and bright without appearing juvenile. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They warned us the portions were big but with opinionated children, we ended up ordering more than we could ingest in one sitting. The BBQ pollo pizza and mushroom, olive & ham pizzas were divine. The pizza is thin crust. Everything has lots of flavor. We had the margarita pasta and a white chicken, artichoke pasta. Both were tasty. We didn't get drinks or desserts but they looked tempting. Cheester is a nice break from Mexican food. It offers a unique twist you won't find in most Italian restaurants in the US. read more

We loved the different and unique salad choices which come family style. The pizza and pasta were also unique and good but not exceptional. Nevertheless, we came here twice in one week for the laidback environment. The Thai salad was our best choice. read more

Disclaimer: I visit Cancun OFTEN! Came here @ 1:20pm and they said they were closed! Their website states that they are open! Yelp showed open as well. When asked why it has a different time on all platforms no answer could be provided. After waiting and debating on if I should demand and answer or just go to McDonalds next door, my husband decides to try one last time. Well it worked...we were sat and given a menu. Immediately after we were slightly rushed to order and when I ordered a bottle of water, it was given to me Hot. Now I'm a pretty patient person for the most part so I didn't complain. I drank the hot bottle of water lol as for food I ordered spinach dip and to my surprise it was just ok...my husband attempted to order a spinach pizza but they ran out of spinach ‍so we went ahead and ordered the Alfredo which was HUGE in portion size but also very mediocre. So disappointed. I just wanted pizza but unfortunately our hotels pizza did not look too promising. So i yelped and found Cheester. Good reviews so I'm sold. Got there, large menu, plenty of pizza choices. Ordered a greek salad and a pizza (half pepperoni and half la polla) Keep in mind the waiter never wrote down our order, he just memorized it I guess? Our salad arrived and I want to say maybe like 15-20 min later, still no pizza. After like 30-40 min our waiter comes around asking us if we wanted our salad to go?? Wait? Where's our pizza? So he responds "oh ok let me check on that" comes back and asks us if we ordered it? Uuuuhhh yes with you! He then starts saying we told him we did not want pizza just a salad? I just wanted pizza man come on! Instead of apologizing he continues to say that we did not order pizza, no apology at all. He places the order. At this point we just want to leave so we order the pizza to go. A gentleman came around unfortunately I did not catch his name, to ask if everything was ok. We explained, he was very apologetic and mentioned our pizza was coming. The gentleman who brought our boxed pizza to our table again apologized for his co-workers mistake and even gave us a 50% discount on our pizza, which was not necessary but greatly appreciated. We left hungry and disappointed. So if I can make any recommendations to Cheester's, maybe start writing down orders guys! read more
