This taco place never disappoints! There are very few Mexican food places near me, therefore, finding this place was like hitting the jack-pot! They offer several types of meats and different ways of preparing your tacos. My recommendations are the 'Street Style' tacos with Pollo Asado (grilled chicken) or Asada (steak), made with corn tortillas. They offer flour tortillas, too. Each taco is doubled up on tortillas and the combo includes rice. It's very filling! Oh, they also offer a Taco Tuesday discount. Who doesn't love that?! Enjoy!!! read more

Not sure why this has such low ratings. For a take out fast food Mexican place this is one of the best. Big portions. We ordered takeout, and nothing was missing, which is a miracle in this day and age. I have been eating at El Pollo Loco for many years, and it in the past two years, every takeout and every delivery order that I have gotten has been missing something, one time an entire meal! This place was ready exactly on time when I ordered it. When I got home everything was still hot, the way they do there at corn tortillas is awesome. They were nice and warm. They were still warm when we packed up everything. We got the chicken and the Al Pastor and both were delicious. Now I am here to try the Carnitas and the Asada and the fish. This is definitely going to be one of my new takeout places. I thought the prices were very reasonable as well. I ordered the breakfast tacos with chorizo which I have been getting since they opened so I know how they're supposed to be. Missing 3 key items on them. Worker Issues and management issues After an hour of multiple excuses and no food I got our money back. I first checked on our order after 15 minutes because others who came after us had eaten and were leaving. I was brushed off multiple times by the cashiers at the counter." Yours is next", to "don't be so impatient fish takes a long time to fry" ( were they having to catch the fish???) or yours is coming out next, but she didn't check on anything. Other attempts to find out the status of the order went no where. Staff at the counter were rude and and belittling and acted like I was in the wrong for asking about our food and the poor server who was running around like a chicken with her head cut off never got back to us about our food. Manager is not supervising the workers and was not out there seeing what is going on. read more

It was good! I like the options that they had. I got a burrito. I forgot what it's called but it had carne asada, fries, Guacamolé and some other stuff in it. The only thing is that some pieces of the carne asada was burnt and that burnt taste lingered throughout the burrito. Another thing that I would like to mention are the portions. The PORTIONS are WAAAYYY OFFFF. I love guacamole but it was toooooooooo much throughout the burrito. We also got another burrito that had beans in it and OH MY. Came here hoping to have good authentic tacos, I get it we came on taco Tuesday so we expected for it be busy. Waited 50 minutes for 4 tacos (al pastor) needless to say there were the worst al pastor meat I've ever had the tacos were cold and we ate them inside since we were that hungry. Don't let the negative nancy reviews below fool you all. This location just opened up 2 DAYS AGO. Of course, just like any new location/business, things will be a little rocky at first. Orders may be wrong and may take a few extra minutes to get your food. We ordered the California Burrito, Shrimp Burrito, and Queso.... it was all SO delicious. Takes 20 mins from the time you order for 4 tacos to be made? I'm sure they are working hard but that was a lot longer than I expected.

It was decent, but so unbelievably salty. If the salt wasn't so unevenly distributed in the meat, might have a different rating. Who knows. But my goodness, the salt was overwhelming for like 3 out of 4 tacos. That type of inconsistency is not what anyone expects or deserves from any restaurant. (Also, the salt is gross, and not what we want in any of our meals.) We called in to ask if they could make our meal without salt, and they said that the seasoning is pre-prepared and is what it is and there is no changing that. So we will pass from now on. read more

The first time we go to eat there, it was very confusing to order. We had to order at the register first and then go back to tell them what we wanted in our burrito. Over price and very little quantity of food/ingredients in the food, for example I order the two shrimp taco plate, came with 2 tacos rice and beans, paid about $14 sick sit is extra for shrimp, I was expecting decent size tacos for the price, these were small size tortilla and to my surprise each taco had only 4 very tiny shrimps inside and a few Drops of the dressing. Horrible service, I came with a friend saying how good it was and I got to the menifee location and was very disappointed. First off they forgot half of our order they were not communicating with one another while making our food it was busy and they seemed very stressed clearly because they forgot my fries in the steamer & our tacos as well as our churros! I went in the other night to have my usual Taco Tuesday Deal, and noticed that the vibe was different. Usually the employees are helpful but seem to struggle with their customer services skills. This time around whoever was working that night was super amazing, from the warm welcome all the way to me paying was a great experience.
