You will pay a tiny bit more here than big box stores but that's okay when you know you won't be standing in long lines, deal with crabby staff and can get assistance carrying something to your car if needed. Tony's usually has what I'm looking for but doesn't always have a huge selection of some items. But if you're looking for helpful service, someplace to get a key cut or a gallon of paint without having to travel too far, Tony's is your place.

I piled my purchases in the shopping cart and waited under the tree where I told my husband I would wait. My plan was to load my stuff in the car and return the cart. An employee came out to tell me this was personal property and it had to be returned, not "can I help you?" I am an older woman and just purchased over $100 at the store, seriously, I need this cart? I returned the cart and struggled to carry the items to my shady spot. Meanwhile, a woman in another car told me to stop stealing! My daughter lives in this neighborhood so I am there a lot. I was so disappointed in their response.

Literally the worst service in the world at this Home Depot…read moreAisles always full and inventory never put away. Returns are always a nightmare and they are never on time in the morning. And it's very surprising because a Hardware that is 3 times the size of a regular hardware store SHOULD have the same equal amount of parts for you to find and get. But I figured it out why this store and ace hardware store franchise shines out over the newer stores because most of the parts they have will fit in homes that were built in the 1930's to the 1970's up to the 80's where Home Depot and Lowe's sell parts for the homes that were built around the late 70's and today's construction of 90's and early 2000's right into today. And also my sister was unsure about a faucet part over at Home Depot and the employee who waited on my sister couldn't get the answer let alone the part right and hesitated. So we left the store and my sister said he was interested in collecting a paycheck and not doing the work. So I told my sister about this Durst Ace Hardware store and she told them the part we needed and they instantly got everything done and squared away. So she never went back asking someone for assistance ever again.
