It was throw-away Tuesday, so we decided to go back to Christos. The first time we went, they did not have their liquor license. They now serve beer and wine. I got a glass of Chardonnay and he ordered a red wine. Neither wine tasted good. Stick with beer. For dinner, I ordered the baked manacotti and he got a small sausage and onion pizza. Both of our meals were okay. Nothing to write home about. Now we know not to go back there. If you see me there, ask me why. read more

Christos is a relatively new Greek/Italian restaurant in Surfside Beach. This is a family run operation, which was originally located in North Carolina. The food is authentic, delicious, and economical The chicken Parmesan is not to be missed and is a portion easily enough for two . The Greek salad is probably the best I have ever tasted. A companion ordered the pizza which was also excellent as were the spinach pie appetizers. . Oh I almost forgot, do not miss the tiramisu. highly recommended! read more

Food was decent. My wife ordered Stromboli and she liked it. I tried to order Eggplant parmagian. Asked the waitress of I could get it a bot spicy. She said no. Sauce is already made. Duh! I've never had that request turned down. Just add pepper flakes afterwards. SobI opted for the Lamb Gyro. Comes with small Greek Salad and choice of french fries or onion rings. I asked if they could make the salad larger and skip the onion rings or fries. Again No. Not very accommodating! The plate was going to include greek salad why can't you replace the onion rings with salad? Just a straight NO. No offer of an upcharge either. Well we gave it a try and it just wasn't good To start I believe their menu is to big and they should make less items and make them well. In their defense we did have a big group but we told them we were coming. One table got their food and left before we were even served ! One of the ladies at the table that got served never got her half of a sub and just had to take it to go. My chicken gyro was cold and so were my FF, it took so long I had lost interest in eating anyway. The waitress seemed to be at her wits end and you just couldn't blame her I did originally try to order a burger and someone else tried to order pastrami and they didn't have either ‍. In town on vacation. Stopped in to place a to go order. Restaurant was not busy. Maybe three tables occupied. The hostess told me they were no longer taking to go orders at 7:30 on a Saturday night. They were "too busy." So I took my business down the street. I suggest you do too. read more

My husband had the chicken parmigiana he said it was very good. I had the eggplant parmigiana it was good but I am not a fan of the skin of the eggplant. My suggestions is that the chef remove the skin. The Greek salad was delicious and so was the nice warm bread. The staff and owner were very friendly. read more

This place is amazing: the food is amazing and the general atmosphere is amazing. We stumbled upon this place while looking for grinders with real bread. We ended up having ravioli, meatballs and dolmades. We also ended up coming back because we felt so welcome by everyone there. I was very impressed by this new hidden gem. I thought Greek, Italian & American was an interesting mix, and maybe wondered if one of the cuisines would suffer (doing too much). How wrong I was!!! We got the following: -Spanakopita (the BEST I've ever had) -Greek Salad (the Greek dressing - AMAZING) -Onion Rings (I don't like onion rings & they were crunchy & delicious) -Christos Special Pizza (perfect mix of crust & topping) -Athena Florentine (the sauce was so flavorful) -Gyro (was loved by the person in our party who ordered) All items tasted fresh & with ample portions. I wish I could leave a review of the food ; unfortunately we weren't fed lol.We made reservations for 15 at 3:00 a week in advance, but when we arrived (on time) we were told by an employee who came outside the building that there was a water main break and they could not accommodate us. We went next door to UCP ( who had no water main issues even though they are on the same main), and as soon as we were seated and served drinks watched the open sign come on at Christo's. (very confused by this. ) I have been unable to verify any water supply issues with Surfside Municipality for that date . read more

This was our first trip to Christo's and it was very clean and friendly staff. Had a pizza and calzone and it was on spot. Our server (Dina) was very attentive and provided great service. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. read more

WORST FOOD AND SERVICE EVER!!!!!! Forgot half of our order and refused a refund. Ordered lasagna and it contained one noodle, one piece of meat and about 2lbs of cheese. It was horrible. Well we gave the restaurant two tries, first was just after opening and not all menu items were available, understood. Then gave it another try 3/16/25 and had an unfortunate experience that will impede a return. Meal started out with salad, good dressing. Then our meals were delivered to another table, we watched it occur, they said it was not what they ordered. The food was left and person who served went and got their waitress. Who apologized and took the food back to the counter (mind you we saw the patron fork in hand at one of the meals). The same server came back to our table with the very same plated food. Ehh not good, and I calmly mentioned that was not appropriate or acceptable. She was very nervous and took the food back with I am sorry. Our waitress apologized and then we waited and waited for supposedly newly prepared food. We were hoping to be wowed to help with the frustration. Well not and no other constellation was offered for the situation. Sorry to slander here, but not good business all the way around. Locals not to return. read more

We would always stop at the old North Carolina restaurant they owned on our trips to Florida. It was our favorite food stop on our cross country trips. Why? Lived here for 22 years. Amazing staff and wonderful food. The pizza is the best I've had in the Grand Strand. Calzones are the perfect divide between cheese, toppings and bread. 10/10 would recommend. read more

if I could give 0 stars I would but the website doesn't allow for that. This restaurant took over for Lasers Pizza, should have left well enough alone. we waited an hour for our food. One pizza came with black olives when we requested no black olives. The other pizza was suppose to be half meat lovers half cheese and came out full meat lovers. The waitress was awful! When told our pizza came with olives, she did offer to take it back and get another BUT we had waited an hour for these pizzas so we weren't sending them back to which she responded "that's not my fault ma'am" I guess it was ours? Then when we needed to pay the bill was suppose to be split. She rolled her eyes and got an attitude stating "well I didn't know ma'am" pretty sure you're suppose to ask that before you close out a ticket. Then they weren't able to corrected it and split the ticket. All in all we spent 2 hours in this establishment when total should have been the amount of time it took us to get our food. I do NOT recommend this establishment. Lesson learned. read more
