It was a two way street during this appointment, versus him talking at me and assuming he knew what was wrong. I wouldn't say I am a full-time hypochondriac (maybe part-time?) but we ended the appointment with lab slips galore just to rule things out. I appreciate the better-safe-than-sorry approach. I know you do too. The staff there (in particular "Beth") was wonderful. Very sweet, efficient and scheduled an appointment with a lab while I was standing there! I am used to them handing me the lab slip and then having to personally call when I get the chance ...always winding up on hold for way longer than I care to be, but I digress. Dr Chinthakindi's nurse was great too. Is Chinthakindi a tongue twister? Fear no more, he also goes by Dr Ravi to his patients and staff. Hooray for thorough, attentive and friendly doctors!

I also received a prescription and referral to a specialist who I've seen for a consult. The front desk is also very nice - I had to call a few times for the referral to be sent and she was always so nice and friendly and made sure it was sent and delivered. Dr.Tom." I assume this means I was kicked out of his practice but I had already switched doctors the day before, so I can't be sure. Ironically, if he and his staff were this responsive to messages we wouldn't even have had that conversation in the first place. I will also mention that during our conversation he mentioned he had 6,000 patients and based on other Yelp reviews it appears he is opening up a 4th office. There is one other doctor, 3 NPs, and a nutritionist listed among his practice's staff. I'll let you do the math and figure out if that's a doctor-to-patient ratio you're comfortable with.

I cannot say enough great and positive things about him. Some things about the contacting the office leave so much to be desired, but I am not going to downgrade him for this. He is not responsible for this. When you call the office you actually are getting a call center. They fail at taking correct messages and passing them along to him. When you email him, he does not get them directly, someone else fields the messages. Many of my very important ones never reached him and appear unread. I even reached out via phone to Susana, the office manager to share with her this information and she never contacted me back. So, in conclusion, if you are lucky enough to be able to get in to see him, he is really top notch. The answering system/email system is a joke and they REALLY should have people with some type of medical background fielding both. I had so many balls dropped over the last few months. (I was very sick with c19 pneumonia). None of this is his fault. It's the system. It needs to be fixed.
