Dr. Reddy was a frustrating primary care physician. I went into her complaining about overall exhaustion and just feeling tired all. The. Time. She ran bloodwork and basically shrugged her arms and discounted what I said and attributed it to being 41. The thing is, I was widowed and lost a partner to cancer. What I was feeling didn't feel "normal", so I secured a psychiatrist and explained my symptoms to him. I'm incredibly grateful he heard me, because after reevaluating my mental health medications, I felt so much better. Anyways, yeah, not the best. I think if you had a traditional, straightforward diagnosis, she'd probably be incredibly proficient, but for me it was a big miss. read more

Recently I had to change my primary care physician and was assigned to Swathi Reddy, MD. I am very pleased with the care she provides, she listens to any concerns I have and seems genuinely interested in my health. I do not need to sit down and have a conversation I just want to get my checkup done and move on with my day. She has a very nice assistant that has a good sense of humor and is pleasant to talk to while getting the vitals taken. If you just like a doctor to take care of what needs to be taken care of then Swathi Reddy, MD can fulfill that request. Don't waste your time with this doctor - she lacks the ability to view the patient as a complex system of interacting parts and instead will get fixated on one diagnosis, completely ignoring the patient's input and concerns. In addition to a lack of skill as a diagnostician, her bedside manner is terrible: condescending, arrogant and neck-deep in a blatant superiority complex! And as if that wasn't bad enough, her staff is terrible: failed appointment changes, difficulty locating patient records, and can hardly ever get a message to the doctors in that office accurately. read more

Dr. Swathi Reddy has been my doctor for years and I feel quite blessed to have her as my primary physician. She is so caring, humble and knowledgeable and has taken such good care of all my health care problems. She readily refers me to specialists when necessary, and prescribes various medications wen needed. She is very aware of the opioid crisis and is careful about protecting me from potential dependency on these medications, which I deeply appreciate. My Primary Care Physician passed away, and I needed to find another provider. I picked the wrong one. Swathi Reddy was arrogant and condescending, just as stated by JL's review, but more than that, she was unhelpful to me as a patient. When I asked for a prescription to have therapeutic massage she refused to give it to me, stating that "massage has no therapeutic benefit." I was surprised by her answer so I asked her again. Again she refused. I had calm dialog with her on the benefits of massage from my own personal experience. She was adamantly against it and said that I didn't need it. I even explained to her that in order for me to use my flexible spending, I would need to renew my prescription. Still, her answer was no. As Dr. Reddy was leaving, she stood in front of me and said, "if you don't like how I practice medicine, you can find another doctor," and she walked out. My previous care providers had issued the same prescription and it was properly documented by them. They, along with Dr. Reddy, have all worked for the same hospital. As I got ready to leave, she stuck her head in the examine room and told me she had just talked to her colleague about a massage prescription, and that this colleague had never heard of a prescription for massage therapy. I visit Dr Reddy Swathi to meet the doctor and get a referral. The appointment scheduling was terrible, had to reschedule and it was still incorrect. The reason for my appointment was to meet the doctor since I'm new to the neighborhood and get a referral for a specialist. She billed me for a full physical. The bill came out to over $700 just for this visit! The insurance would over only cover $400 because I did already had a physical from my previous doctor. She would not remove the charge and now I'm stuck with a $300 bill. Complaint to the billing office, doctor office and other department just went in circles. Terrible Doctor and services! I also had a negative experience with Dr. Swathi Reddy, MD. Dr. Reddy made no attempt to build any kind of rapport with me. She seemed dismissive of questions that I asked relating to being proactive in my own health, and when I had a large hematoma from a hiking accident she did not seem to even know what it was (I later was diagnosed and treated by an orthopedic specialist). What makes matters worse is that it is almost impossible to switch primary physicians in network. Finally after several calls and needing to go to a different location I was able to switch. I went to visit Dr. Reddy and I couldn't believe the carelessness of this doctor. Her assistant is also very rude and unfriendly; However, for my checkup I had explained my chest pains and stuffness in my arms as I was worried I could have something serious going on. She told me we will discuss these chest pains in another visit as it was not important. Bottom line while talking with her over the phone she mention things about my insurance coverage since when do patients talk with their doctor about their medical insurance and she then tells me "just go find another doctor" since when a doctor tells you to find another one as a way to resolve your health concerns. My suggestion is NEVER go see her she is a waste of time and money. Dr. Reddy puts a very bad name for Sutter. Maybe she is prejudice! I use to like Sutter. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Reddy for almost ten years. I have found her to be totally interested in me and my health. I have had several health issues, which Dr. Reddy knew exactly what treatment I needed. I had been given a treatment by another physcian and I was not improving, when I went to see Dr. Reddy. I should have listened to everyones review, not just on this website, but in others. Once of the worst doctors EVER! Went in for my yearly full physical and for a first time visit, I expected to be able to express my concerns. Apparently you only get 15 minutes with the doctor and ONLY 15 minutes. She can only address three issues and ONLY THREE. If you want to ask or tell her about any other issues that you want her to look at, then you have to make another appointment for another 15 minutes and another limited three issues. So for my physical, I was only allowed a breast exam, a pap smear and blood work. THAT's IT! I thought it was a joke. But apparently that's how she sees her patients. It's like get em in and get em out and collect money. I had to ask all my friends if this is some kind of new procedure with doctors. BUT NOPE! It's just this particular one. I would not recommend. Please see all her other reviews and basically take heed. Something I didn't do because I wanted to give her a chance and believed that maybe it was just a few patients that complained.
