Really great place chocolate is hand painted and covered with really nice decorations. I was talking to Amanda who was the retail lady and was very nice. She recommended the Fleur De Sel which is sea salt, caramel, they also use real butter so the taste doesn't go bad, and they also use real cream for the chocolates. If you have chocolate before but wanted to try a really nice and great quality chocolate or even just nice gift assortments for someone I would recommend this place the assortments of chocolates are endless, and when you take a bite it will leave you speechless, because of how good it is. I find it odd how i'm writing this review, when I've never been a chocolate fan. However, i am a huge hot chocolate fan. I came here before dinner because it was still early and I needed a place to to relax. I asked the lady behind the counter what she recommends, and she recommended the Venezuelan chocolate. I sat down and the brought me my drink, which was way to pretty to drink. The drink had the perfect spicy to it, so i do recommend it if you like it spicy. For the chocolates, I've only tried a few. It's not cheap either, so i try to control myself. I love all the ones i've tried. I have to the raspberry, yuzu, Champagne, passion fruit, and morello cherry. This place is absolutely amazing. I was hoping to try some of their liquid chocolate after first getting exposed to it in Portland this past winter. First of all, when I walked into the store, I was completely stunned by the presentation of their chocolates. Basically, this is the place I order chocolates every year for holidays like Valentine's Day, Christmas, and Mother's Day. They are excellent, with flavors ever changing to fit the holiday. Not only that, but these treats pack enormous amounts of flavor into barely 1 inch x 1 inch squares of silky, chocolatey goodness. Unfortunately, the price for these things is at least $2 a piece. We were walking by and looking for something to do in Hayes Valley and we noticed this shop at the corner of the street. It was a bit cold, so we wanted some hot chocolate to warm us up and oh boy is their hot chocolate delicious! It tastes like it's made from real chocolate - if you like dark chocolate you'll enjoy the hot chocolate here! It's kind of expensive at $5 per cup of hot chocolate but they're absolutely delicious and very rich in cocoa flavor - yet not too sweet or bitter. I was able to try their hazelnut flavor hot chocolate and that was also delicious. They also sell a variety of hollow chocolates aka bonbons that are filled with a creamy inside which depends on what flavor you get. I had the fleur de sel caramel which is caramel infused with grey French sea salt. It is so good, once you bite into it the chocolate pops and it mixes with the creamy insides and it's just so good. Too bad these chocolates are pretty expensive $2.50 per bonbon and the sets don't save you that much money either. read more

Well, it is packed in a beautiful box wrapped with a silk ribbon. I'll continue my daily consumption of Trader Joe's Belgian chocolates which I can afford.
