Perhaps Christmas Tree Brooklyn will redeem themselves and show up in the next 10 min to deliver our Christmas Tree that was promised to arrive between 6-9pm this evening. We paid on-line, reserved a delivery time, and were all set to receive a tree this evening. Considering It is now 9:21pm on Sunday night, we have received no phone call or any correspondence from the company informing us of a delay, I wouldn't pay a penny to this company for your Christmas Tree this year..because it may never arrive!!!! And btw - no one answers the phone (or it is eternally busy) so it's silent message to all is that it is one terrible horrible no good very bad business! read more

In their defense, we didnt have time to give them a chance to replace it. We had a tree delivered on Nov 28th -paid the setup fee. It wasnt full when the really nice guy got it set up but we all thought it just needed to settle. Unfortunately, when it settled the next day there was a kind of dead area near bottom on one side and a big bald spot(i guess a hole) on another side. We had company coming in that Friday and really didnt have time to call and schedule another tree to be delivered- then either pay for a second setup or do it ourselves. We had to decorate the one we had and move on. It worked out -we wedged it between a piece of furniture and a wall to hide to 2 bad spots. I guess even though we did make the call not to ask for another tree - I was disappointed because the website assures they only buy premium trees. We were expecting a really full, really nice shaped tree. It definitely wasnt premium. read more

Just like a second marriage, it's even better!!!!! To explain a little further, I decided to buy our tree on one of the corners by our apartment and it was fine. The chaos that ensued post purchase was not to be believed. After a leaking stand, a second stand (wrong size), and 3 Christmas tree falls with multiple ornaments broken over the span of 4 days, our tree had had A DAY. Our evergreen had turned to an everbrown in a very short period of time. I was hopeless but not helpless once I discovered this company that delivers straight to your door! Never had I contemplated buying a tree online but it surpassed my expectations. I set a time and a date ( the very next day(wham Christmas reference) and waited with anticipation while also staring at my hideous 1st tree laying like a lump on the wall with disgust and sadness. A very polite and handsome lumberjack man brought in a tree with perfect shape and lovely color. He set it up for us (in my brand new and very expensive tree stand) and took our sad tree to tree heaven. It was the BEST experience and much more affordable than I thought it would be. I decided to order my tree from CTB after seeing the prices of trees on the streets here in lower Manhattan. Loved that they offer to take the tree back and continue to replace until the customer is satisfied. I could not imagine a better tree than the first one they brought. Free delivery and no delays. I had the tree up for more than a month and it still barely shed any needles. I cried when we had to take it down, it added so much to the house in terms of lovely evergreen smell and color. I initially gave this business a one star review because they royally screwed up my order (twice, actually) and their phone was disconnected when I called to inquire about the status. I'm updating my review now because the owner, Dan, went out of his way to rectify the situation and just finished delivering and installing an enormous beauty of a tree. It seems that he and his sister, Morgan, have been inundated with orders this season and their technology support system crashed. Although it took a while to get things sorted, I am quite happy with the end result. I expect I will be upgrading this business to 4-5 stars next year, once their infrastructure is in place to prevent ordering hiccups. My tree is gorgeous and Dan couldn't have been apologetic and helpful in the end. I wish this small business all the best. read more

The previous two years I got my tree from this company and they were PERFECT. Looked great and barely shed. This year, we got it on 12/1, and it's completely brown and dead (TONs of shedding) on the 17th. So we've basically got two weeks out of it. Not normal, and not acceptable for a tree we paid over $170 for. Extremely unhappy and will never order from this company ever again. Also, they have terrible communication. Last year they offered a gift bag for early pre-ordering, which I did, and then never got the gift bag. And then when I emailed them I got zero response. Only ordered from them again because of the great quality but that's clearly gone out the window. I purchased the extra tree saving liquid as well this year but clearly has done no good. read more

Update on treegate: Read up on the whole saga in my original review that finishes with the company keeping $100 without rendering any services for them. I had also paid for a tree removal for Jan. 14th. On New Year's Eve, I received an email letting me know that they could not remove the tree on the date I had requested. That, to me, was the final straw, as they were making zero efforts to honor my request. I requested a refund for that part of the purchase for a service they had not yet rendered. Miraculously, they suddenly were able to accommodate the date I had originally requested. I still requested a refund for all the hassle. After several tense back and forths (their customer service is less than stellar, to put it mildly), they cited a very general and unclear terms of services to explain that they could only offer me a credit for set up and/or removal next year. Why can't the offer the credit this year? If they truly had good faith, they would have done at least that. I was very clear that this did not resolve the issue, as I will not be supporting this company any longer (after 2, not 1, butchered experiences). There are so many other ways they could have resolved this. Some examples: 1. Offer a credit /this/ year (what if they go out of business next?) 2. Offer a full refund on the services not yet rendered, which is what most companies would do; 3. Offer to give the credit to the drivers I'm sure they underpay; 4. Offered a partial refund, so everyone is happy (I may not use them again, but I won't actively discourage people from using their business either); 5. If they were so gong ho in not offering /me/ a refund bc they prefer to be right to having satisfied customers, they could have even offered to donate the $100 to a charity (no one will say no to that). You have to wonder why they use a no-refund policy. Is it perhaps because there have been too many instances of dissatisfied customers? I don't know, but this all seems a shady business practice for sure. P.S. Their trees shed like crazy (we swept the floor quite a bit daily and lost 3-4 balls this holiday for the first time ever bc it was so flimsy), they don't really absolve any water (which indicates poor quality) and the one I had to settle for had so many holes, it's not worth it. If you are in Williamsburg, Crest Hardware on Metropolitan has been around since the 60s, offers amazing customer service and they had some of the most gorg. trees I saw this season for half the price of these guys. I love the convenience of tree delivery and I suspect the tree will be lovely once it arrives, because I trust the other reviews. However, our delivery window was between 12-3 today. It's 3:00 now and the company just called me to say they're running 2 hours late. I'm home waiting to decorate a tree with a 2 and a 4 year old; waiting an extra two hours (5 hours home on a Saturday, waiting) is a drag! I wish I had known a few hours ago that the tree wasn't even out on a truck for delivery, and not planned an entire day around this. I also now see a slew of other reviews in the last few days with the exact same problem. I really wish I hadn't prepaid and ordered this tree! Update: it's 5pm. No tree. Customer service says no one is getting trees on time and no refunds are issued! Highly recommend staying away from this business! read more

I'm giving one star because the delivery and tree itself were nice. The removal would get zero stars. It was terrible and not worth $90. The guy dragged the tree through my apartment getting pine needles and dirty water everywhere. He continued to drag the uncovered tree through my building leaving more of the same. The "clean up" part of the removal service never happened and I was left cleaning up for an hour. The company has been completely unresponsive, not returning any of my 3 phone calls. Do yourself a favor and skip the removal services if you plan on using this business. I personally won't again. read more

4th year ordering from CTB. The tree was HUGE and gorgeous. Got major compliments. Im giving it a 4 out of 5 because the tree showed up a bit dry. I am SUPER diligent about watering the tree..always checking water levels. By the end of the first week it was very dry and shedding. By Christmas it was a fire hazard. Our tree was wet, still slightly frozen, had innumerable dead pine needles in it as well as portions of a nest/feathers. We were shocked that they didn't even attempt to clean the tree before delivering it. We spent several hours cleaning the tree and our floors before we could even decorate it. Even having had the experience of going to a tree farm and cutting a tree down myself, I've never actually had to do this much work. Oh, and I called to talk about my experience and never got a return phone call. For the same or better price, I'll just go pick out my tree from a reputable vendor next year and have them deliver it. read more

I ordered from Christmas Tree Brooklyn for what would be the second year in a row and though I will say that I did have a relatively good experience last year (the tree arrived late, but I was at least called by the company to be given notice/reason for the delay), this year's experience has fallen VERY short. The appeal of this company and it's reason for existence is that they take the hassle out of the logistics of getting a christmas tree to your city apartment- sounds great, right? Normally, lugging a huge tree that you hassle for on a freezing street corner is the status quo for the tree buying experience in the city. They take out the leg work, deliver the tree to your doorstep, offer free shipping, and have reasonable prices. The whole business concept sounds amazing, in theory. HOWEVER--- when the tree NEVER arrives and there is no courtesy phone call, email or any type of notification, and no one responds to your emails or calls, then NO, this company not only fails to fulfill it's purpose, it has now created a negative impact on it's customers by virtue of taking their money and wasting their time (I waited around during the 4 hour delivery period and then some). I would not imagine I'd be writing such a negative review over what is supposed to be such a positive and festive product/service, but unfortunately, that is where I'm at- without a tree (and also without any clear idea if I EVER will be receiving one), my valuable time wasted and with $50 less in my bank account. FYI- Better Business Bureau is my next stop. read more

My experience was short and very sweet! Customer rep promptly answered the phone and addressed my questions, then I ordered online at 3pm ($12/ft so $60 for a 5ft tree plus ~$5 tax) and had the option to still deliver today 6pm-9pm, for FREE! Rep said if you go in person only next-day delivery is available, not same-day (or perhaps there was a $20 fee to do same-day, I forget). Driver called me at 515pm letting me know he was 20min away (I live in Chelsea). He brought up to my apt and set it in my stand very nicely. I compared prices among varying vendors in Manhattan and surrounding boroughs, and this seemed to be the best price and service! My tree is closer to 6ft (which is great b/c I was regretting only ordering a 5ft) and very full without being too wide/cumbersome for my small 1 bedroom apt. I couldn't have picked a better tree myself, so am glad I didn't spend the time/money to go in person to Brooklyn. I will definitely be using them for future years! read more

STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! Save your money and time! I ordered a tree for a delivery window of 3-6pm on Sunday, Nov 27th. I finally called at 6:30 pm in which they said it would be more like a 6hr window. It's now past 9pm...Still no tree delivered, no calls saying the tree will be late, no emails. You are better off buying a tree from your local corner store. Update: Again after not hearing from them I had to call them at 9:30pm. So first I was told it was traffic, then i was told it was a "computer issue", this time I was told that they are missing an employee with a truck full of trees hahaha. They told me I would be getting a call that night from the "manager" with an ETA on my tree delivery. Jill called me back and said the tree would not be delivered that night and asked me to reschedule for tmrw morning at 8 am. Here I am at 8:50 am on Nov 28th with no tree or no phone calls/emails from them. These people have absolutely no respect for your time. I have basically been on house arrest waiting for a Xmas tree that I paid for already. My tree finally arrived at 1:30 pm...Almost 24 hours after my initial delivery window that i selected at checkout. I would have rated this business 0 stars but they force you to rate it a 1. I also submitted a complaint with the business bureau. This marks only the second time in my life that I felt compelled to actually take the time to file a complaint. read more

These guys are terrific. I'm responsible for ordering the building lobby Christmas tree every year and I use Christmas Tree Brooklyn. It's extremely easy to order a tree online. I can choose the height of the tree, do I want them to set it up, do I want them to provide one-time food for the tree, do I need a stand, etc. I set up delivery online, choose a time range convenient to me (3-hour windows) and that's it, just wait for them deliver the tree. They will usually call me to let me know my tree is about to be delivered. Very professional and very nice trees. read more
