Needed to get an arrangement for my love who is very specific; for him it's red long stemmed roses or white calla lilies. For context, I live in Southeast Queens and there aren't that many flower shops so it took me going to quite a few places to find them. Called Studio Arts and they had them so I went to get them. Located right across from the McDonals, the shop is quite small and easy to miss. However, using the LIRR staircase as you maker makes it much easier. Viv was super helpful. She listened attentively about what I was trying to bring to life and then began pulling the pieces that would make it happen. She started with 10 white calla lilies (his favorites) and then added babies breath, a few white roses and some fresh eucalyptus. This is perhaps one of the most delicate curations I've ever seen assembled for a man and I love that. They were beautifully wrapped and I was on my way. Now I know that when my local shop fails me, I have this sweet little option super close by and I have all the confidence that they will come through in creating something special to honor the moment. Accessibility- 10/10 - subway, LIRR, drive and find street parking (just know it's a challenge) Product availability 10/10 - they had what I needed and made it special Customer service: super welcoming, warm, attentive to detail and let me use their bathroom- 10/10 Pricing- a bit on the higher end than a shop on Ascan (5 mins away) where I saw a similar bouquet (not white) for $48. I didn't check for reviews, only that they had same day delivery, which happened to be free! I ordered the Premium Cotton Candy bouquet online around 9:30 am. They were at my door before 12. The delivery man was a sweetheart & wished me "Happy Birthday!" when I opened the door, cause of course mum stepped out and missed the drop off. The bouquet is nice and full. The flowers lively and vibrant with not too much in the way of plant filler. The vase itself is most likely what you think of when you think 'florist vase'. I've been back a few more times since my last review for more plants and they have an even more exciting selection now! Their plants are happy and treated with great care. The shop's cats always brighten up my day and there's always something new. Shopkeepers are consistently friendly and helpful. They have a rare plants section with beautiful uncommon finds. Some of my favorites are Variegated/Silver Glory String of Hearts, Hoya Kerrii, Hoya Rope, Pink Princess, and all of the pretty specimens I don't know the names of (yet)! Honestly didn't expect free wrapping, and as soon as i got home she suggested i put the flowers into either a red, clear, or green vase to look presentable. Still waiting on my mom to see it when she comes home. As well as that, going on my 30-60 budget she arranged the nice bouquet of flowers i posted down below. Had to get my now husband to go to a Brooklyn flower shop two hours before my wedding to buy a new bouquet that had more life than the bouquets I ordered for over $200 at studio artist florist. I asked for cascading Lillies and another bouquet with pink roses and Lillie's. The two photos shown are how my brother received the arrangement when he picked up the flowers. The roses are brown at the edges. The $200 bouquet with Lillie's did not even look anything like the picture I showed as an example. There weren't even that many flowers in the bouquet or lively. I had ordered on the phone first with Andrew who said my bouquet could be made and they get fresh flowers on Monday deliveries. It wasn't till I went in person to place the order that I am told they were out of stock on some elements of the bouquet and that was only because I asked or else they wouldn't have disclosed that information. The woman that day kept saying the bouquet would be exactly like the photo but it wouldn't have this or that. If you put a "but" then it's not exact. I was on a time crunch and not being a florist a decided to give them a chance to show me their creativity and talent (non-existent) My brother brought the flowers to the church and thankfully I had the back up because the studio florists bouquets were completely wilted and turned even more brown and I had to trash both. Most of the Lilly buds weren't even open at all. The bouquet of all pink Lillie's from a Brooklyn flower shop stayed lively and as you can see I used them for my ceremony. It is possible as you can see to have a bouquet of fully open Lillie's. When my brother asked for a refund and wanted to return the flowers when I asked him to before they ceremony he was denied. Studio arts florists does not create artistic arrangements, the flowers die quickly and there is no attention to detail. At least if the simple bouquet with pink roses and Lillie's looked fresh and alive I could have been forgiving but even those flowers were old and unbloomed. If you're not up to a task just say so don't waste a persons time, money and memories. Thank you to "NEW BROOKLYN FLORIST" for making such a LIVELY, FRESH, & FULL wedding bouquet in such a short time and turning a stressful moment into a hopeful one for only $60, I will be a repeat customer and tell all my friends & family. Pretty decent flower shop and it's close to my apartment, so really, no complaints except for the fact that it's pretty pricey (then again, flower shops usually are!). I didn't even realize that this was a flower shop because when I was searching for a place to get my Mother's Day bouquets, Studio Florists showed up, but I didn't not automatically think that this place was somewhere you could buy flowers. Anyway, I finally figured out where this place was (passed by it so many times without even realizing it) and went to go pick out some flowers. They have bouquets outside ready to go, which is nice, and most of them are pretty looking bunches with flowers that seem fresh (who's to know really?). This will most likely be my go-to florist since it's so close to me and the prices aren't too bad. I ordered flowers for my anniversary on their website two weeks ahead of time to be delivered to my girlfriend's apartment. As soon as the store opened on that day (9 am) I kept calling both numbers listed on their site to make sure that it was being delivered. I literally called them 50+ times over the course of 3 hours. They picked up the phone for a total of 3 times and could not give me a straight answer whether the flowers were on their way. Each time they actually answered the phone, I was told they would check and call back but didn't. I also sent an email to the address listed on their site but was returned as undeliverable because it didn't exist. As you may have guessed by now, the flowers were ultimately not delivered to my girlfriend. I can't speak for the quality of their flowers but this is a horribly run business. Local Forest Hills florist where I tend to get all my flowers for special occasions. Stopped by for St Patrick's Day and got a dozen green carnations. Good prices, can not recall what I paid, but it was your average price. They do special arrangements, and always maintain a high selction of flora and fauna. I believe this is the only real florist in town as the other one, Anderson Florist, shut down a number of years ago. You can go to The Natural on Austin Street, or really any supermarket now and get flowers, but I always prefer to go to a florist where your flowers are wrapped correctly, put with the proper things like baby breath and other leaves that enhance the arrangment. Highway robbery beware!!! This is not my first time hearing that this place is a rip off and I should have listened before setting foot inside. I went in to buy some potting soil and they have the nerve to be charging $15! For dirt!!! The grocery store used to sell it for around $8 and you can get the exact same type on Amazon for HALF the price. I don't mind maybe an extra dollar or two to support local businesses but this was downright robbery. The checkout girl ended up giving it to me for $12 because I was in such a state of shock they had the nerve to charge that much FOR DIRT. I tried picking up flowers for Valentines a day early and I felt so rushed and ripped off, that I'm sitting here on the bus furiously writing my review for this place. I wanted a nice color arrangement of Roses that would blend and be different yet special. Yeah, I take pride in buying flowers for someone. The owner grabbed some roses, not necessarily the healthiest ones and slapped them together so fast I was caught off guard as he handed me the receipt. Although they said they would do same day delivery and I ordered the flowers the day before the funeral, the flowers didn't arrive at the funeral home in time. This florist is not local to me. I have to travel about 45 minutes to get there. I love flowers and there is no local florist in my community. I have used this florist for the last 5 years or so. (They have changed owners) I ventured in today to get myself a holiday bouquet . When I arrived there was only 1 customer present. The lady who makes the arrangements was preparing a bouquet,which I thought was for the lady already inside when I got there. I waited a few minutes and looked at the flowers in the fridge. After several moments going by and the worker not acknowledging me (no smile,no hello, zero acknowledgement); I asked the customer if she were working on the bouquet for her. She responded "no". At that point I asked the worker why she didn't acknowledge me in any way? Her response " I saw you looking at the flowers". I really let her have a verbal lashing for the lack of customer service. This isn't the only time that she has lacked customer service skills,and friendliness. I have reported her to her bosses this past summer. As much as I enjoy flowers,I am going to truly think about patronizing this place. Nice flowers,not so nice worker. Place is pretty small and you have to also deal with stepping over multiple cats to walk back and forth. Browsing etc. Why do they have cats in a store that is so small to begin with. It for one didn't look like what I ordered online, and it was smaller than the basic tier even though I paid for two tiers higher. This flower shop is located in queens and if you live around this area I really recommend you guys to go. They are new Chinese owners. Once you stepped in the stores you can see how nicely their flowers are placed. Their part time worker was really nice. She was the one who helped me choose color for my bouquet. I was buying it for my mother for Valentine's Day. I am happy to say that my mother is in love with it. Super satisfied with their customer service. They took their time wrapping since it wasn't busy at the time. A good idea would be going there at hours they aren't busy. The extra baby sprouts they gave for free because I bought so many. I found that very thoughtful of them. The wrapping is adorable and they don't charge for it. Forgot to mention I brought singular roses for my friends and they did individual wrapping, too. Their fridges are 3/4 filled with online orders, they are so busy fulfilling them they couldnt bother to greet me or help me when I was standing in their shop. I had to stand around and wait for the owner to pick up the phone and finish for him to grumble something at me. Roses are advertised as $3.00 each, but when you put them in a bouquet, they come out to $4.00 each without tax, it starts adding up and gets expensive! This is not a florist. This is a tiny store that sells cut flowers and will tie them together with a rubber band and wrap them in plastic. Went in to buy a bouquet, get asked what flowers I want. Ok, I say I want a certain flower. They pull one stem and then look at me with an expectation gaze... "What else?". I don't know what else, you're the florist!
