the guy there was very rude and had such an attitude it was disgusting. I came out there so upset I was not happy with my bouque. And it's so overpriced. I don't recommend coming here at all. read more

Services amazing and the florist always knows what I have on my mind. The fact that he is doing such a great job I always hear only positive outreach. Every time I go there my time is not spent for nothing but rather spend very valuable way. read more

I come all the way from Long Island just to get flowers. Someone was complaining about a young kid that works here but I've never seen him. When I get flowers it's always from the older gentleman I believe his name is Jimmy. All the orders there esp the women are super helpful and kind. I give him a budget sometimes if $50 or whatever I can do that day and he will make something for me, and show me what we can add or what would make it beautiful. Their flowers are always fresh and sometimes I get the suprise of finding a birds of paradise! This isn't just another shop that puts dye in their flowers. Everything is fresh and organic. The owner and his assistant were knowledgeable and kind. Great service, selection and value for a prom corsage.

Today was my first time in this particular flower shop. I have passed this place for decades .I finally decided to go inside. The shop was a nice size,I already knew what is was going to buy.I ask the nice gentleman for some long stem roses the best cut.The roses were really nice, and the price was really decent for a good half of dozen roses. The customer service was great ,and it was good to see a good family owned busines ,still in queens after all these years. Because there aren't that many good florist left in queens or how about nyc. My wife loved the flowers .so that's a extra plus ,so this will definitely be a go to spot for me when I want to get wifey some nice flowers, and the location isn't that far. This flower shop is definitely a staple in the community in kew gardens. And a queens NY landmark read more

I get off the train station to go to my appointments in the area, and walked by this flower shop each time. I don't have a local florist, but believe me, I think I found it! The front of the store does not do what Jim does justice! I walked inside on my way after picking up dinner to pick up a bouquet for my friend who recently had her baby boy. When you walk inside, it's more greenery than florals, and I was confused if they sold flowers. You have to walk all the way to the back to see their flowers. I was greeted by Jim, whom asked me what I was looking for. I asked him for a bouquet to celebrate a birth of a baby boy in hues of blues and whites. He took it a step further and also suggested hues of yellows and greens, which ironically, were her baby shower colors. It's like Jim knew whom I was talking about! He then asked me for my budget to work with, and he got to work. I watched Jim as he started pulling hydrangeas, spider mums, and more from one refrigerator. He then went to pull some out of the buckets in the main area, and wasn't even done! He went to another refrigerator room to grab some finishing spray roses for the final touch. Honestly, I was confused if the bouquet he was building was within my budget. Jim really takes a lot of thought and attention into his work, and has the recipient in mind. Once he finished, he asked if the bouquet was to my liking. I was just so impressed with what he was building just from watching him work, and couldn't wait to hand deliver it to my friend! Seeing how much I had to carry out the door and this bouquet being twice my size, Jim even asked his assistant to open the door for me. Top notch service and professionalism! Please visit Jim at Dana's if you are in need of flowers! My friend was very impressed and also just as surprised as I was with the size of her bouquet! read more

Okay I can't believe I just found out about this florist when he's been doing it for 30 years. Found it on my way to work to pick up some flowers for my new coworker. I told him I have a low budget and he told me he starts making price-range bouquets starting at 25 which was super awesome. I wasn't expecting my bouquet to look this big and beautiful. Looks better in person. I was worried I'd be late for work but he did this and had me pay in under a minute. I found my new florist!! read more

I have been looking for a reputable florist for a while. It started when I was referred to a flower subscription service. I tried Bouqs but to say they are a bit pricy is an understatement. Plus sometimes the quality of the flowers wouldn't be worth the hefty price tag that you pay. So I tried a few other subscription services and I just wasn't content with what I would get. About a month ago I posted on Facebook for recommendations in the neighborhood and Dana's was mentioned a few times. One person had said that you can walk in and tell Jim ( I think he is the owner) what colors you want, the price, and just let him put a bouquet together for you. I figured why not? I walk in and the shop is fairly large with houseplants of all shapes and variety. When you walk back further in the shop you see all of the flowers in the refrigerated walk-ins. Jim came over and asked how I was doing and how could he help. I told him I wanted pinks, purples, and creams. I said that I wanted to pay $65. He said ok and began building the bouquet for me. Giving that I had some not-so-pleasant experiences online I was sort of testing out the waters so to speak because I want a florist that I can come to every other week or so. Well, I found one. Jim put together a beautiful bouquet for me. One detail that I found interesting is that the flowers were all long stems. This is perfect because all of my vases are a bit high! I highly recommend this shop. Go and give it a shot. You won't be disappointed. read more

Usually I buy flowers here every Valentine's Day or special occasion. Never had an issue but today I walked in and wanted a Bouquet of Lilly's for around 60$. I told the person helping me to mix in whatever they wanted to make it look nice because I'm not picky. I ended up getting a bouquet with just 6 Lilly's and some baby breath for 30$. I even asked are you gunna add stuff to it and he said yes. It was busy in the store but I think my instructions were pretty clear. Great quality flowers just need better communications from the younger people working there. The older gentleman and the lady are such nice people. I think the best part about going to the flower shop is the creativity and combinations they are able to come up with. While 6 Lilly's do look nice I was ready to pay 60$ for something extravagant, just felt let down. The flowers are great quality on the bright side. read more

Significantly secure enough in my masculinity to outwardly admit that I love plants, flowers, weeds -- check the calandar date. The fifteen foot ceilings stopped me in my steps upon entering. Odd but telling observation; other than a venue that showcases the plant kingdoms beautiful natural plant life -- along with their larger bodies and they were and they were, Danas displayed the likes of what any conventional florist possibly could -- more really. The beautiful Kelly and Forest green shiny leaves all reached their hands out to the sky as the lower tiers still loomed quite Jurassic-ly. As my plant by plant travels continued, I followed until I hit the massive refrigerator with dual sliding doors that houses the pre cut flowers. Lots of activity in and outta that behemoth and additionally the balloons, ohh the balloons -- how I love thee too, the side section was audibly / noticeably hot and hard on the handles that inflate. Had a swell chat with the kind bloke who ran the counter, man -- I had a great time in there and did a little buyin' of three sweet succulents.. Ooooh Yea.. read more

Best of the Best! Jim is amazing! We have been using this florist for years! I would not go anywhere else! Above and beyond!

Jim couldn't have been more helpful and courteous. I placed a phone order from St. Louis for a hospital delivery and not being too tech savvy, didn't have the correct last name. He phoned me when unable to find the patient and the right room.(my error). Then texted my nephew and re delivered the bouquet upon hearing back from him. Many kudos to Jim for the extra effort! Danas is my go-to florist because of Jim. It's obvious he loves flowers and bringing joy to others. Over the years Jim has created arrangements for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, Easter gatherings, my mom's birthday, wedding anniversaries and just because I want something beautiful on my table. Dana's Flower Shop is a family run business. I walked there to get flowers as a thank you gift for the friends who were hosting us. It was a sweltering day in late July and passing through the door of the shop was sweet relief. The owner was friendly and made me an elegant, fresh bouquet at the price point I asked for. I got just what I needed, no fuss, no muss. The old florist posters were a cool touch. read more

My friend couldn't stop telling me how beautiful and stunning they were and how much she loved them. It's hard to know what to expect when you are sending flowers from out of state. This is one of the best shops for flowers . They always have a nice variety of flowers to choose from. The most important reason I come here is their flowers last a long time. Used to buy flowers from another store...but then threw them out within a week. The service here is top notch and they will work with to give you an amazing bouquet for your budget. There are many places that are closer to me, but I go out of my way to this place, for all my holiday needs. read more

This was a great experience. I just walked in randomly off the street and told Jimmy how much I wanted to spend on a bouquet. He was kind, polite, and quickly made me an impressive assortment of flowers. The price was very fair. These flowers are much nicer than average gas station or street corner flowers. They have a much longer life than other places I have got flowers from and I received non stop compliments on how beautiful they are! read more
