I write this WHILE eating fresh strawberry cake and my husband eating triple chocolate cake... Christina's is amazing, and Christina is one of the friendliest and honest people I've met in awhile. She did our wedding cake last year - we brought in a photo and she did it the most beautiful justice, as well as helping us decide on size and understanding the difference between buttercream with butter and shortening-we had a tasting the same day we went into Christina's and couldn't believe how different they were! At our wedding, people kept commenting how beautiful the cake was AND went back for multiple slices (raspberry almond, for those curious). Since then, when our out of town wedding guests come back in town, one request has consistently been (5x now) 'Let's get cake at that place that did your wedding cake.' Some of these folks are NYCers...a picky bunch.... That being said, WE still come back for the random slice! As a home baker, her stuff is totally from scratch, delicious and legit. I stopped in at Christina's Dessertery in Clemmons , NC after my appointment this afternoon. I am not a first time customer. I have been doing business there since they opened. It was hard to make a choice after looking at all the goodies in the bakery case. I finally decided on the coconut layer cake, and a strawberry cream cheese cupcake. The staff behind the counter are always friendly, and ready to help you. Christina is not only beautiful, but she is very creative when designing cakes. As soon as I got home, I put the coffee on to brew. The coconut cake was everything I expected it to be, and more. Moist, fresh, and heavenly are just a few words I would use to describe this scrumptious cake. Having a nice hot cup of coffee with it makes it even better. The frosting is not too sweet or grainey like some other bakeries are. I plan on doing business with Christina's bakery, every time my sweet tooth gets a craving. I watched Christina and Michael as they transitioned from their home business to their retail location of Christina's Dessertery. It was incredible to see the amount of dedication that went into creating fresh, delicious product daily. All of their desserts are homemade with incredible attention to detail (as evidenced in their gorgeous wedding cakes!). I learned much about baking, decorating, and customer service, and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from such hard working people. May God continue to bless them! I placed a special order at Christina's Dessertery. When I arrived to pick it up, the order was incorrect. The staff at Christina's went into overdrive to make sure that I received the correct order in time for my event. They went so far as to deliver the correct order to me - a 45 minute drive from their business address. And the best part is that the cannoli were divine. They were rich, but not overwhelming. The cream was smooth and elegant. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about this little bakery. As stated by another reviewer, this bakery is worth the drive. Treat yourself. I hosted a party/dinner for a 50th wedding anniversary March 8, 2014. I had to do everything by phone as I am in another state. I could not sing praises loud enough for this bakery. The owner herself, on the phone, not rushing at all, helped me design and perfectly pick out the cake for the party. The cake stole the show at the gathering, everyone, even strangers were asking where we got such a wonderful cake!! It was BEAUTIFUL and YUMMY!! Had a slice of strawberry cake at Christina's Dessertery. What a great cake for summer, sweet, light, fresh strawberries, delicate cake layers that melt in your mouth and the frosting is incredible. If you haven't been in for a sweet treat yet, you need to stop by. All Made from scratch cakes, cookies, brownies and mouth watering cheese cakes are available. Decor of the bakery is elegant and relaxing. I have had dessert in different establishments but Christina's Dessertery in my book is the best. On my visits the owners have always made me feel comfortable, feels like sitting at home with friends having great dessert and good coffee. This place is awesome!! I absolutely LOVE it, the atmosphere is amazing and gorgeous and their counter girls are always super nice (: I love going in and sitting with a good book and cupcake. It always smells sooo good too haha! But all that being said, I'm in awe of how freakin yummy their cheesecake and brownies are...and they have me addicted to their yogurt parfaits! Absolutely THE best Dessertery in the state! Had the Tiramisu tonight and it was the best I believe I have ever eaten! From the cakes to the brownies to the cake pops to the cheesecake...all absolutely delicious! A must stop if you are ever in the area! I had posted this review back in August but Yelp choose not to "Recommend" it for some reason! I find that each visit is wonderful. Christina and her husband and staff are always friendly and helpful and chat even when working to decorate a cake. I have not had any cake or cup cake yet that I have not enjoyed better than those at any other bakery or dessertery in the area. Finally, a bakery that is close to home! My family enjoys the variety of the fresh and delicious cupcakes. Our favorite cupcake is the chocolate raspberry filled! Their whole cakes need to be ordered ahead of time. Christina's cake decorating talent is exceptional and by far the best we have seen. The dessertery itself has a trendy cafe atmosphere. I visited the bakery on 2-19-14 and the owner was polite and friendly. I ordered a cookies and cream birthday cake for my child. It was delicious. I have tried a chocolate cupcake with white frosting that was filled with a wonderful chocolate filling and thought it couldn't get better. I was wrong, try the strawberry white cake cupcake. I picked my son up from school on his birthday and his only request was for me to take him to Christina's Dessertery to get chocolate covered strawberries. He is only 8.
