Delicious cake flavors and they allowed us to choose my maple pecan flavors and icing color. The food was delicious and I loved it

They are never open and never answer the phone. Sad because pictures are tempting. But sounds like bad management

This is actually my second visit to Copain Bakery and Provisions... The first time I couldn't even…read moretaste the espresso in my iced oat milk mocha latte with three shakes of cinnamon. I even asked the barista if he remembered to put the espresso in it and he said that he did. I'm not so sure... this time I ordered something different. I asked which flavors of syrups they had and also if they were Housemade. The mark of a true gourmet coffeehouse is housemaid syrups... The girl told me that they don't make the syrups in this location, but at their Charlotte location and they're brought up here. They had the typical ones: vanilla hazelnut and mocha. I chose to get a regular iced oat milk latte sweetened with a little honey with cinnamon powder. The flavor of the espresso is very good and bold and it blended well with the cinnamon and honey. I also ordered two pastries, including A chocolate chunk cookie and a blueberry muffin. I ordered the blueberry muffin because a customer behind me said that the blueberry muffin is his wife's absolute favorite of all the blueberry muffins she's ever had! That sold me on it! The same kind customer mentioned something about a chocolate chunk cookie as he was asking his friend who was already sitting down what he wanted. Again, when I heard chocolate chunk cookie, I had to have one! They had samples of chocolate chip bread that was tasty, but it seemed to have sugar on it which though it is very common in most bakeries I do not prefer. I have no idea why they are putting sugar on top of pastries that are already sweet. It is likely due to the fact that most Americans are addicted to sugar! The complaint that I have is that it took forever for the barista to make my iced latte... I have no idea why... At one point after she had been working on it for several minutes she had to go get more oat milk but before that, I don't know what was taking her so long. Anyway, Copain has a cool vibe and they were playing very beautiful music that suited the vibe very well. The blueberry muffin was tasty and full of fresh blueberries but again it had sugar on top of it! The chocolate chunk cookie was also very large, fresh and soft. It was full of chocolate chunks, and I could even taste a hint of sea salt. Again, it was a little too sweet for me, though. There were several customers in Copain Bakery and Provisions enjoying their coffees and food. They have lots of edible items, including sweet and savory ones sandwiches, salads, croissants, muffins, cookies, brownies... They have ample amount of items to choose from to suit mini a distinct pallet. The service was also very friendly and warm. The prices were also what I considered to be excellent as I paid a total of less than $20 and that included the tip for my two pastries and my 16 ounce iced oat milk latte!

Hey Family! I love discovering places, based solely on a recommendation. Coincidentally, I was…read moredoing a Yelp event nearby and I was making conversation when the bartender suggested that I come here. I haven't tried many vegan desserts because I find that something is always missing, it's lacking flavor, or not sweet enough. I can CONFIDENTLY say that, The Ginger Bread Man Bakery is absolutely amazing and had none of those problems. I dare say that these vegan desserts actually tasted better than some of my other favorite bakeries. I love that this gives me another reason to come to Winston. It's really cute and cozy in the inside. However, it is small but there is some seating. The person at the counter was super helpful and very friendly. She said that of course I couldn't go wrong with getting the classic gingerbread which was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at how moist it was. There were also a variety of cupcakes where they do rotate them out pretty often. I opted for the blueberry Chai cupcake. I enjoyed the frosting and it had like a blueberry filling on top as well. And lastly I tried the blueberry Cookie Butter Mini pie. That one was very addicting. I tried my best not to eat the whole thing. Since it was warm outside and I had to drive back to Greensboro, I loved that the mini pies where refrigerated and the person at the counter, actually wrapped it up for me so it could stay cool on the ride home. I will definitely come back to try more items and I can add this place in rotation with my favorite bakeries. If you are in the area, do check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

We had an amazing experience visiting Gingerbread Man Bakery in Winston-Salem…read more The owner Wade took the time to tell us about how the bakery started and how much the community means to him. The shop was inspired by his love for baking and encouragement from friends -- and some of those same friends actually work in the bakery today, which made the environment feel really welcoming. We also loved seeing how he collaborates with other local creatives. From merch designed by a local tattoo artist to candles and soaps made through local partnerships, you can really feel the community support inside the shop. Now for the desserts. We tried: * Blueberry Chai Cupcake * Orange Rosemary Cupcake * Key Lime Cupcake * Fruity Pebbles Cake Pop * Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie * Banana Pudding Cookie * Gingerbread Cookie Every flavor combination was impressive. The blueberry chai cupcake literally tasted like drinking a cup of tea, and somehow the banana pudding cookie actually tasted like banana pudding. Our favorite was the Key Lime cupcake. Great desserts, great atmosphere, and great people. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Winston-Salem.

Nata Belle's was definitely worth the try!…read more I grabbed three flavors: Sweet Potato Brownie, Peach Cobbler Pound Cake, and Oreo Pound Cake. First things first--the texture is EVERYTHING. Pillow-soft, incredibly moist, rich, and you can tell these recipes have been perfected. The quality is absolutely there. These desserts are definitely on the sweeter, more indulgent side, so for me this is a once-in-a-blue-moon treat--but when you want a real dessert, they deliver. This is not your little "I just need something sweet" cake. This is a luxury dessert. Surprisingly, my favorite was the Oreo Pound Cake, and I'm not even a big Oreo girl! The balance was perfect, and that's the one I'd come back and grab just for myself. The Peach Cobbler and Sweet Potato Brownie were both delicious too, just much richer. Great service, great quality, and clearly somebody knows exactly what they're doing in that kitchen. If you haven't tried Natty Belle's yet, I definitely recommend giving them a try.

Anyone else beeline for the Amish doughnut truck at the fair as soon as you get through the gate?…read moreWell Glazed-N-Dazed makes those same huge yeast glazed doughnuts and they are available (almost) year around. They are soft, warm, fresh from the fryer doughnuts. They sell one type of doughnut-glazed. They sell them 1/$4 each or you can get 3/$10. Yeah, they are a bit more than some places but these are hand rolled homemade to order and served warm. Their logo also said coffee and milkshakes but I was there just for the doughnuts today. Glazed-N-Dazed is part of the family run Food Freaks Burger Truck. Sidebar: if you haven't tried these burgers yet you really should because they are some of the most unique and best burgers I've ever had- both Glazed and Dazed and FoodFreaks post their hours and days on Facebook so go follow them there if you want to check them out. This particular food truck of theirs has a permanent spot behind Jug heads Growlers and Pints on Country Club in Winston. They are usually only open serving doughnuts, burgers or both when Jug heads is also open but sometimes they serve doughnuts in the mornings on the weekends. Keep in mind this is a food truck. There are picnic benches to sit at but it's all outdoor seating. Jug Heads has some indoor seating though so if you're there when they are open, you can sit inside with your food. I know a food truck might not be the first place you think of going when you want a doughnut but these are really good and if you happen to see them around definitely stop in to try them.

This artisan bakery has undergone all health and department of agriculture inspections and been approved to prepare baked goods for wholesale and private sale. If you've never ordered a cake from a home bakery, we will walk you through the process we followed step by step. For our family, it started with deciding what type of cake my mom would like for her birthday, my dad would like for his birthday, and both parents would enjoy for their anniversary. My parents love old fashioned layer cakes with mountains of airy frosting. We browsed the photos and list of cake flavors in the Notes section on the WitsEnd Facebook page. Mom decided upon a coconut cake for her birthday. This was no ordinary coconut cake. Dubbed Grandma's Coconut Cake, the enticing dessert had been soaked for two days to saturate the cake with coconut flavor, then iced in a fluffy frosting and covered in flaked coconut. Six glorious layers of moist cake were slathered in a towering light-as-air frosting. Vicki Crouser, the owner of WitsEnd, has a contact number for the business on Facebook. We called, placed our order, and arranged a date to pick up the cake. When you work with any home bakery, due to restrictions you won't be able to pick up a cake directly at their home. You will arrange a time and public place for the cake delivery. This was quite convenient for us. Jerry met Vicki at the New Town Square shopping center at an agreed upon time on a day he planned on running other errands. Dad adores fruit .The Banana Pudding Cake was a perfect choice for his birthday treat. Four layers of sumptuous banana cake were filled with creamy banana frosting and vanilla wafer crumbles. This lavish sweet was hand delivered neatly in a labeled, sealed, cardboard cake box. If you don't finish the cake in one sitting, plan on making room in your refrigerator. All of the WitsEnd cakes use fresh butter and eggs. My parent's anniversary cake was a meeting of the minds so to speak. The Mandarin Orange Cake had the mandarin orange pieces my mom loves and the pineapple my dad cannot resist. The confection was an ambrosial tropical paradise. With all three cakes, we had no issues ordering or picking up the desserts. Vicki was always on time to deliver her box of sugary bliss. The WitsEnd Bakery Facebook also showcases beautifully decorated custom cakes for weddings and themed birthday parties. They make a variety of cookies like chocolate mint, chocolate berry, peanut butter tap taps, chocolate chip, gingerbread, and molasses. Several local restaurants serve WitsEnd Bakery cakes. For your next special occasion, veer away from the grocery store and head towards a local baker like WitsEnd bakery.
