We had a wonderful experience shopping for several kitchen appliances for an upcoming remodel. Sales Manager Brett Tinkle helped me place the order and he was extremely patient and helpful throughout the whole process. It took me two visits to ensure the dimensions would work with the cabinets, which required him to cancel out the first order before payment, then input everything again on our second visit. Never once did he did make me feel like we were an in inconvenience. He took his time to double and triple check everything and thoroughly explained their store policies and available warranties. We were initially going to purchase at Home Depot but I'm glad we decided to shop outside of a box store. The personalized attention and knowledge at this store made it worth it for us. read more

I bought 6 appliances The washer was installed with the hot and cold mixed up . my son in law figured it out and fixed. The dishwasher was installed without securing the front. When I figured this out I was told I had to pay repair fee. Crazy as they installed it wring. I was told you only get 48 hours to report something wrong. They were not helpful at all and would not wave the repair fee. It was a problem they created. After buying 6 appliances you would think you would get some service. We were in need of a new refrigerator. Ours hadn't quite died, but it was getting sick. Would current supply issues keep us from getting what we wanted? We already had a leather recliner on order that might come in by June, and we certainly weren't going to play the waiting game with a life necessity like a fridge. So off we went to Christie's Appliances on Broadway. Our salesman, Anthony, was knowledgeable and helpful and patient. We discussed styles, brands, and features and he showed us plenty to choose from. We decided on a GE (made in America!) and Anthony promised delivery on Saturday. The only problem was that we had to take it in fingerprint-proof stainless rather than white to match the rest of the appliances. Friday we had a moment of panic after comparing the width of the front door to the width of our purchase. So the hub called Christie's and was reassured that they had this. No problem. Saturday morning the service department called to advise us of a noon-to-two delivery. First, Carlos and his partner Chase took out the old refrigerator. Then they removed the front door - took them only moments, obviously not their first rodeo. They easily wheeled the new one in, over the threshold and without bumping or scraping any walls. Carlos and Chase weren't just big and strong, they were careful. Once in and installed, the fridge's workings were still a big mystery. Carlos spent several minutes explaining and directing. We are very pleased. I predict I'll have a new convection/induction range in stainless from Christie's to match my beautiful new refrigerator. read more

We purchased our new washing machine from an amazing salesman, Aaron, at the Broadway store. He was able to have it delivered very quickly and gave me invaluable information to make sure I was able to be successful with this new and improved washing machine. The washer was delivered earlier than anticipated by Marcus, who was respectful, patient, and very strong. Marcus took extra care to make sure there was no damage to our home, and he even waited while I cleaned the floor under my old washer. I bought 6 items and was looking forward to the nice $800 rebate but of course it doesn't happen. after numerous calls to the sales people, and being told too many times we cannot help you. it is an independent promotion and I am out the deal. not going to happen. Before I say the rest, I have lived in Tucson for decades and have happily bought many appliances and a bed from Christie's. It used to be a pleasant experience. Things have changed. A couple of years ago when I bought a washer and dryer the salesman grabbed my credit card and loudly announced to the whole store what kind it was. Then I bought a refrigerator and an extended warranty which proved to be absolutely worthless and money down the drain. I have had to have a real and honest local repairman fix it. The last time I went in the store I looked for a bed and the manager sat on a nearby bed, right next to me, as I lay on the bed. I couldn't get out of the store fast enough. Today, just for the fun of it because I need a new dishwasher, I went to their site. I was shocked that prices were listed because they like to hide these things so they can get you into the store but "details" about the dishwashers were not available and it said to call the store. No more of this nonsense. I'm going to the Lowe's website and if I don't find one there it will be Home Depot. read more

Our new microwave is the third appliance we have purchase from Christie"s . We bought our home in Green Valley 10 years ago. We are now replacing the appliances we purchased when we bought this house. We have been extremely happy with the whole process of purchase and delivery and install. I cant speak to service. Because we have not needed any service. Their prices are competitive with the big box store, but with much better customer service and knowledgeable sales persons. Christie's came in last Nov. to replace the ice cube maker in our refrigerator. The repairman didn't tighten the fresh water valve nut on the wall behind the appliance. Two months later we noticed the base of our built in cabinetry swelling and after pulling the refrigerator from the wall, saw that the unit had been leaking for two months. The water was not visible as it seeped to the back of the unit and so it went unnoticed. The repairman returned and noted responsibility for the lead, in writing. However, Christie's refused to take responsibility for mold abatement and costly rebuilding of the cabinets. Our homeowners insurance covered much of the several thousand dollar abatement and repair work. However, Christie's refuses to send in the information to their insurance carrier so as to settle with our insurance company. It's now in subrogation but again, Christie's refuses to cooperate with the subrogation procedure. So, months later, we are still short of settling and reclaiming some of the funds. Sounds as though Christie's has been down this road before. A very frustrating experience for us and an unethical and irresponsible action, or lack of, business practice on their part. read more

( we had already studied online and visited Lowes and Home Depot) We were met by Bradley Brown who did an excellent job of reviewing the choices. He was very informed and not pushy. I asked loaded questions I had drawn from my research and Bradly's responses were dead on. We purchased the Electrolux Pair and thanks to Bradly we are quite pleased with the product. We bought many items from them and one of the items we bought was a dishwasher that had a leak problem after we bought it technician came out fixed it but damage done we had to put in new flooring in our kitchen now about 7 years after that major leak with dishwasher and we not only need new flooring but new cabinets on one side where dishwasher was and when I called the manager Brett at Christie's asking for a 20 per cent off on another purchase of a dishwasher he couldn't and wouldn't help me!! We purchase extended warranties for everything and that is 100% worth it. Just had a 3 year old clothes washer die and we received full credit towards a new one. pricing is in line with everywhere else + you can even talk to someone about features and benefits. I went with Christies because they were "known" for their service. Well, their service is seriously lacking! I would have gotten better service from Home Depot. I had scheduled an appointment to have my refrigerator and stove delivered the day after my cabinets were to be installed. Unfortunately, the installer didn't show up. Since the cabinets were in the living room, the delivery people refused to deliver the appliances because they said they couldn't get them through the house. There were other options, but they still refused. To add insult to injury, the sales person called me and started chewing me out because the cabinets were in the way. I tried to explain to him several times what happened but he continued to be rude and told me that in order to deliver them again, they would have to charge met yet another delivery fee. If I had been a man, I never would have been treated this way. Then when they did deliver the appliances a month later, they told me that they couldn't install the stove because the last one had been hard wired and it needed an outlet. Nobody ever told me that they need an outlet. I guess I'm supposed to be a mind reader. I hired an electrician to install the outlet and when I called Christies to have the stove leveled, they said well, we delivered it and since it wasn't ready to be installed, we would need to charge you yet ANOTHER delivery fee. I spent over $5,000.00 with this company. You would think I could get a little respect. Instead, I have been treated like a piece of dirt! I will never do business with Christies Appliance ever again and will make sure that anyone I know who is considering doing business there, doesn't. read more

While I've spent $10k+ with Christie's over the last 10 years, I won't be back. Kristian was a kind salesperson, but the follow through with a dissatisfied customer was non-existent. I purchased a GE washer and dryer front loader set. I also own an Electrolux set, which I love. Their first mistake? Letting me save a few bucks by buying this GE set. Second mistake? After I used it for 4 loads and realize how cheap and flimsy it is, they won't let me exchange it. The load run times are 10-15 mins longer, it gets unbalanced REALLY easy, is VERY loud, doors feel flimsy, and the lint trap is hard to insert/remove. The manager refuses to let me exchange the set and spend MORE money with them for a nicer Electrolux set. I won't be back and all appliance purchases in the future will be through Costco as they stand behind their products. read more

Bought an appliance from Christie's for the first time. Here are the pros and cons: Pros - No high pressure sales; the sales representative was friendly. Cons - I found out that the unit I bought from Christie's was defective within a week after I received it. Christie's pushed me to the manufacturer. Their store manager did not even bother to return my call. I had to deal with the manufacturer directly to get the unit replaced (phone calls, emails, social media). No appliance to use for 10 days. When the unit was replaced and installed by the manufacturer, I found out the original unit was not installed properly by Christie's to start with (it has nothing to do with I received a defective product). I bought extended warranty from Christie's. When I asked to move the warranty period starting date to the date I received the functional unit, I was told I needed to deal with the insurance company directly. I love to support a local company but I do not recommend Christie's. read more

This store obviously has no sense of value for YOUR time! We bought a dishwasher 2 days ago and arranged for deliver today, 11 AM to 1 PM. The delivery crew did not show up until 1:50 PM. So disappointed to waste my time! I spoke to the store manager and he assured me "it would be dealt with." As a recurrent customer of this store, I was expecting more than just lip service. I am very disappointed. After doing business with Christie's for all kitchen and laundry room appliances for 30+ years and recommending this company to everyone I know, things have definitely changed. Usually, when I would call and ask if they had a certain product or what they recommended as a replacement for one, the salesperson was so very helpful. There were times I knew exactly what I wanted, ordered over the phone and came in to pay/make delivery arrangements. It was a breeze, and the new frig, washer, etc would arrive in days. OK here we are in 2021. Yes, it is during the pandemic, but over a year in and things are normalizing to some extent. But the salesperson I spoke with on the phone seemed bothered he was even answering the call, kept telling me the model of my appliance was "too old" (duh we buy high quality appliances) to give me a comparison on a new one, and then said there was not much to see at the store (as in "don't shop here"?) When I asked when inventory would be in for me to look at, his reply was pretty unclear, stating things come in, get sold and they wait for more inventory. No timeline. So, Home Depot got our business and we now have what we were looking for. read more

We looked at mattresses. John, sales staff, was pleasant at first. When we asked if there would be a sale on mattresses. He said this is the sale price. When we selected one and were paying for it, we asked when it will be delivered. John said there is no guarantee on delivery. When I said are we taking 6 months, he got "rude" and gave no delivery guarantees. He said " do you want void this transaction with insulting attitude. My husband said whoa, no need to talk to us like that. We should have voided the transaction. Very uncomfortable. We said we did not want to pay full price for a mattress with no delivery guarantee. We did pay half down...all sales are final. We are very disappointed with the whole transaction. Certainly have no desire to make any future purchases thereSo much for shopping local for a family owed business. Here's a question, will Christie's honor an advertised sale in the future as we wait for delivery of the mattress and box springs? I suggest you shop somewhere else. I have shopped at Christie's for years. All my kitchen appliances and washer/dryer were bought and installed and maintained by Christie's and I have been very happy with their service. The staff is knowledgeable and the prices are very fair and competitive. Their selection is large and they carry excellent lines of stoves, washer/dryers, microwave/convection ovens, and refrigerators. I trust them and that's why I always shop with them and refer friends to them. Mr. Christie died quite a few years ago but the people who bought the store are Tucson family folks. I'm happy to say that tomorrow they are delivering my new stove. read more

Until today I have spent a great deal of money with Christie's. They have been a store to recommend. Our Speed Queen washer needs a second service call to fix an electronic failure. Same problem as before when it was new, 2 yrs ago. The service tech called in sick and now 2 more days of waiting, 6 total. My recommendations are gone now. Service is a bigger part of a purchase than price. They are polite but will not be my first visit next time I need appliances. read more

Beauty rest mattress I purchased from Christie's Appliance is ABSOLUTE TRASH! I wish I could announce it on TV and warn people so they stop buying them and wasting their money!!! I purchased Twin XL mattress in January 2021 from Christie's, paid $1500 (not cheap), it arrived in the beginning of February. A year and half later I started having horrible neck pain from sleeping on it, that just kept getting worse. I didn't even realize it at first that I could have such neck pain from 18 months old mattress, the brand that used to be great!!! I contacted Christie's, they did an inspection and according to Beauty rest warranty guidelines my mattress was not qualified for replacement! Christie's didn't take responsibility for selling me a sh*ty product. I wanted to contact Beaty rest directly, but when I opened their BBB profile I realized it was the dead end. Beauty rest/Simmons (I assume they merged) had their license revoked by BBB, tons of complains, all sound like mine: after 18 months, horrible back/neck pain and hitting the brick wall trying to get it replaced or get money back! SO happy I decided to support local! I needed a new clothes dryer for an extremely tight bi-fold closet laundry area in my 1980's build condo . Most modern washers/dryers are made larger than my outdated 15+ yr old set so finding a full capacity dryer that would fit the small space was a huge challenge. Christie's Appliance had the hard-to-find GE model I needed at a very fair price that matched every other on-line listing with the benefit of EXCELLENT customer service from consult to purchase to delivery and install. The big box stores that advertised the unit did not have a floor model in stock to see it in person..nor did they have a helpful salesperson to be found. Christie's Appliance on Broadway has it all! AND lesser delivery/ install/ haul away charges than I found at both Lowe's and Best Buy. These salesmen know their stuff...Derrick and Bradley were very knowledgable, personable and helpful the whole way, giving me exact measurements for even the required vent/ plug so I had the peace of mind I needed that the dryer would fit within 3/8" room to spare! My dryer was so popular it was on backorder but came in well before I even expected. The delivery team works directly for Christie's, and were also exemplary in customer service and professionalism. Carlos and Wendell are great guys, very friendly, helpful and very capable. I have an upper unit with an extremely tight cork-screw staircase along with very narrow doorways. These men handled business and installed my dryer without a scratch. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Give Christie's Appliance your business and buy with confidence! Make sure to measure your spaces and confirm with the factory specs of your new appliances. Accuracy on the purchasers part is also key to ensuring a smooth transaction. Bought a dishwasher from Christie's 3 years ago. I called them as the heating element had gone out. They told me it would cost $80 for repairman to come. He came said yes it was heating element charged me $127. I called two weeks later they said the part had been ordered. Now more than a month later they tell me it is on national back order and it's possible they're not making that part anymore. No one bothered to call me with that information.
