Christian Flooring & More **1 STAR - AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Owner Makes Threats and Harasses Customers** WARNING: This business owner threatens customers and exhibits horribly unprofessional behavior. We purchased premium Coretec LVP flooring from Christian Flooring in October 2024. Within 2 months of installation, the floor showed significant damage despite normal household use with young children and pets - exactly what we were told this "kid-proof" and "pet-proof" flooring could handle. - Owner Chris Curts promised to be our "strongest resource" and "fight to get results" with a 4-6 week timeline - Instead: months of delays, not one followup from CF and minimal communication - Told us to "get an attorney" when we asked for status updates (very odd) - Called our reasonable requests for an update "demands and threats" - Manufacturer lost our samples, found them, said they were from 2013, then magically found them and tested UNDAMAGED leftover pieces instead of damaged flooring in one day, then denied claim due to the picture we sent looking like it was damaged after install(obviously undamaged samples showed no defects!) and we knew the damaged photos were wear and tear that occurred during it being installed. We were questioning the life proof, kid proof, pet proof boasting that sold us on the floor. Our life is not aggressive by any means but this floor is just not cutting it. Entitled owner: Chris actually complained in writing: "Even though I rarely get a thank you let alone someone willing to leave a positive google review" and "I am beyond tired of unreasonable expectations of many customers." He also said he was "sick of having my integrity or values called into question when I don't have a legal responsibility to make the efforts I do for my customers." Imagine paying thousands of dollars and being lectured about gratitude by a business owner providing terrible service! **Bait and Switch:** Initially offered to replace damaged planks, then withdrew the offer and tried to force us to spend MORE money with his company. When we declined, he essentially told us to kick rocks. **THREATENING AND SEXIST BEHAVIOR:** When we left honest feedback about his poor service, Chris escalated to shocking behavior: - Demanded phone calls, refused email communication - Used personal tragedies to guilt us into compliance - Sent threatening text: "I cannot communicate with you without putting you firmly in your place and that's not something I do to another man's wife" - Refused to deal with me (the actual customer) and demanded to speak to my husband instead - When called out for sexist behavior, claimed I was "twisting his words" - **Has now begun repeatedly calling and texting both my husband and me despite being told to stop** **This is harassment and discrimination.** In 2025, a business owner refusing to deal with female customers and threatening to "put them in their place" is completely unacceptable. **What You Can Expect:** - Months of delays and poor communication - Broken promises and withdrawn offers - Being lectured about having "unreasonable expectations" - Sexist treatment if you're a woman - Potential threats and harassment if you complain **WOMEN: ESPECIALLY AVOID THIS BUSINESS.** Chris Curts clearly cannot handle dealing with women as equal customers and resorts to threats when challenged. And I'm NOT EVEN A CRAZY FEMINIST!! **Save yourself the nightmare. There are plenty of professional flooring companies that won't threaten and harass you.** Owner is now repeatedly calling our personal phones and sent another threatening text message after 8pm because he doesn't want us to leave a negative review. "Just know what happens after this is on you" he says. I have every text message, voicemail he left my husband complaining about having been married before like he was going to hop on the miserable husband train with him. I also have all email correspondence screen shots of proof of our experience. I have nothing to hide here have not been out of line with what we've asked for and have no resolution to our flooring problem as of yet. Very Disappointed. Ordered flooring before Thanksgiving and it still hasn't arrived. Decided to cancel it and they want to charge a 45% restocking fee. It hasn't even left the warehouse. I also found it at another location for almost half the cost and they could have it available in 3 to 4 days. read more

We placed an order for stair carpet. They arrived without calling. Arnie said we were close so we just showed up. (Reeking of pot at 9:35 AM) he asked me to check the completed work and my leg got cut on a staple from the padding underneath. They made several marks and dents in our newly painted walls and a chunk was made in our molding. They tried to fix it with calk. I had him take it off and my husband made all the fixes himself. The thresholds were different and one of them I could remove by hand. It is not fastens tightly. When I spoke to Paul he apologized for all the problems. He called me back one week later to tel me they would be out in 4 days to replace the threshold. read more

We had a great experience with Christian Flooring. We had two rooms carpeted and the process was painless. The sales person was personable and knowledgeable. I wasn't home for the install but my wife said they were friendly and professional. A year or so later, we had some carpet start to lift up where sun would come through a sliding glass door and really heat up the floor. The told us at the install that this could happen. We called them and they came out within a week to re-stretch and trim the carpet and it has been perfect for several years now. They will be my first call for any work in the future. read more

So this ordeal started at the beginning of 2019. We purchased flooring through a company owned by Christian Flooring that no longer exists, so we have had to deal with Christian since the initial install. Commercial grade as we deal with big dogs. We did the prep work as far as removing and disposing of the old floor, removing moldings and moving all of the furniture to get the price down to around $7 a foot. We also paid for 2 extra boxes beyond what was needed to have extra for renovations we were planning. The initial install went awful. The team that was sent broke countless pieces. Their idea of "leveling" a spot that a 2x4 had been removed from was sticking a piece of cardboard under the floor, causing it to dip when walked on. Somewhere in the range of 20-30 pieces were not properly connected and locked together (in the middle of rooms, not easy fixes for us to remedy. When the team came out to fix it the next week, rather than removing the pieces from a wall they tried to just remove and replace the pieces from center, breaking all of the extra flooring we had in the process (which was never replaced) and the floor that was to go in the bathroom that was not yet done, which they then ordered more to cover. The instal crew also ended up gouging and digging up numerous pieces with tools and didn't even address about half of the pieces that were not installed properly. We also have a 12 foot transition (cut into 2 pieces, not even 1 solid piece) right down the middle of our main living space, which every kid that comes to visit trips over since its the same pattern as the floor and....why would there be a transition there? On to the floor quality itself. Garbage. For being commercial grade, it scratches and gouges from anything you can imagine. The .99 cent a foot Lumber Liquidators special that I replaced held up better, and the install I did myself was better. It constantly buckles and cracks when walked on. The quality is what you would expect from the cheapest of of cheap. Reps from both Christian and the floor manufacturer came out and agreed whole heartedly every time that the floor is unacceptable though due to both both garbage install and floor quality, neither wanted to take responsibility. Flash forward to the end of 2020, they finally agree to replace the floor and have us come in to pick out a new floor. We opted to pick a floor that was roughly $2 a foot cheaper, expecting to get the difference back. They then sent us a quote that included us paying $2000 EXTRA. They didn't want to honor the fact we did all the prep work last time and also seemed to account for higher labor and every other costs 2 years later. We had zero interest in paying an extra $2000 for a lower quality floor that we were in no way at fault for having to replace. So we told them to refund us what we spent and we will tear up the floor for them to have back (doing the work for them yet again). At which point they just decided to start ignoring us. We've talked with a lawyer and are contemplating our next course of action but the fact this is even necessary is utterly ridiculous. read more

Sorry to say I had a bad experience with this company. First they said I would need complete tear off in my kitchen, however, installer said he would not, could not do that when he got here as there was, in his opinion, asbestos. So they went over top of it. One would think that there would be a substantial decrease in the orig. quote but that didn't happen. Installer left globs of adhesive everywhere and when I spoke to the salesman about how I have been laboring over removing glue for the past two weeks he actually asked me what I was using to remove it. Hello, my complaint went right over his head. I am writing this even tho it's been two years since I purchased this floor. I dislike the flooring so much, i.e. hard to keep clean, shows scuff marks, I am having to replace it along with my entire kitchen remodeling. I won't ever use Christian flooring again. read more

We recently installed new carpet through Christian Flooring. The experience we had with them is terrible. The installation hasn't been completed, the next day the installer suppose show up time has passed , but there is no call , no show. We try to reach to the installer, he didn't answer the call, we were not able to leave a VM either. We reached out to the sales person Tim in Webster store, he was not only not stand by customer , try to wear our shoes, but also made all kinds of wild imagination for the situation!!! We asked him to try to help us find the installer, he even said this job has been sold and I am not "F**** sit here doing customer service job. Can any one imagine that you are the customer and paid for the job, but they left a big mess and no one show up to finish the job, when you reached out to your sales person, he even rude and use the dirty language , is this the experience we suppose to have with this company, absolutely not!!! read more

Had hardwood installed in 2 rooms. Poor installation job. Subcontractor installed defective board that had to be cut out and replacement glued in. Since floor is tongue & groove this board does not lay flat and is rough on end! They put dozen holes in wall. Used wrong color grout at transition. Would not recommend ! read more

We needed carpet for the stairs and for two landings. The people at the store were very helpful. The choices were great! The first home visit for measuring was quick and painless. The installation crew was quick and very professional, and did an excellent job! The price was what I expected to pay. Overall a great experience. Yes we will shop there again.. read more

I also was at Christian Flooring today and as a repeat customer can't say enough great things about the company. I know the owner as we have been personal friends for many years. Besides being a Christian and owner of this company, he has owned a company for well over 10 years that works directly with people who have all types of disabilities. I felt compelled to leave a review after reading about one where someone claims to have had an experience with their child with autism and the radio being turned up. Knowing Chris as I do, I'm certain he would fire any and everyone involved if such a thing actually occurred. Lastly Having been in the store on the same day as this "incident" occurred, I would be more than surprised of the staff didn't offer to help in any way.
