You made the visit. Now, when you market yourself as the Original Buffalo Wing, that carries real weight. There's history there. There's pride there. And honestly, there's an expectation that comes with it. If you're going to carry that banner, you have to be better than Buffalo Wild Wings. That's just the reality. The identity of the place is built on being the original. The wings were good. Solid flavor, classic presentation, cold beer, sports on the TVs -- it checks the boxes for a fun wing spot. But were they clearly a step above other national wing chains? Probably not. And that's where the expectation gap shows up. That said, it's still a good place to grab wings and a beer. Bring your buddies, bring your family, bring your girlfriend -- catch a game and hang out. It's casual and comfortable. If you're in Niagara Falls and want to experience the history behind the name, it's worth a stop. Just go in expecting a solid wing-and-beer experience rather than something that completely resets the standard.

The menu has great shareable food options. We came here for desserts in the evening and ordered "Carrot Cheesecakes" with coffee. First of all, it took them forever to take our order. And then when our desserts and coffee were served, they didn't serve what we ordered and we had to wait for them to come around and mention they hadn't brought enough coffee. I believe if they improved their service, they have more happy customers.

We got there shortly before 5:00 on a Saturday, before the dinner rush, and were seated immediately. I'd say service definitely improved since their opening. Our waitress was very attentive & helpful. While eating, we also had someone else, possibly the manager, stop at our table to ask how everything was. I ordered the spices crispy chicken sandwich with a side salad. My husband got the Canadiana burger. We shared an order of poutine. First off. Portions were huge & brought home half the food. The chicken was as described, crispy. Though I didn't get much spice flavor. The cabbage slaw and aioli were the perfect toppings. The poutine order was more than enough for 2 people. They didn't skimp on the cheese curds. The gravy was OK. I thought it was interesting that the middle of the room was filled with recliner type chairs. You can get a drink and enjoy one of the many sporting events on their numerous screens. Overall, decent food and good service. There was a long line when we left. Not sure how service might change with the larger crowd. 2024-29

What a fun place to check out! I was looking for someplace different, when this stumbled across my…read morefeed. So I decided to go check out the blind pig. Pretty easy to find, you can't miss the rustic looking exterior with the blind pig in huge letters on top. There's a decent amount of parking, but I'll bet when this place gets busy it's tougher to find a spot. When you walk inside, the interior is very well kept and has a rustic bar-like feel to it, plenty of bar and high top seating as well as booths. I decided to order an iced tea. Something I've noticed about Canada, iced tea is usually a sweetened drink. Not like iced tea you get in the states. So just be aware of that if you're looking to get some iced tea. Regardless, it was very tasty and hit the spot perfectly. One thing I like about this place is they have a bunch of different specials throughout the week, the day I went the special was the brisket sandwich and side salad for $13.99 Canadian. I upgraded to the Caesar salad, and also ordered a side of KFC, or Korean fried Chicken for those of you in the know. Let me tell you something about that. KFC, absolutely delicious! How can you go wrong with fried chicken thighs with Korean BBQ sauce? You can't, that's what I'm telling you! The brisket sandwich was really really good, albeit just a tad dry. But I'm not deducting any points for that. It was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Service was great, friendly staff, and everything came out as expected. Bottom line? I will definitely be back for that brisket sandwich. They also had some other specials so I guess I'm going to need to spend an entire week here and just eat my life away at the blind pig.

Chicken was dry but the rest of the bowl was good and flavorful. We also ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl: marinated ahi tuna, coconut rice, mango, sesame edamame, cucumber, avocado, pickled carrots, sliced radish, sesame seeds, green onion, sriracha aioli. I got it decompressed as I have dietary restrictions. Unfortunately the ingredients didn't seem fresh. Mango mushy, green onions brown, cucumbers dried up, carrots brown. We wanted refills on our beverages, but server was busy. By the time drinks were refilled and another pint was brought, we were done with our food. We still managed to tip the server. We were really hungry and disappointed with their food as we picked this place out of many since their Google reviews seemed high. They offered to remake our meals but we had to go.

I'm not sure if the entire second floor was devoted to the sports bar but we sat in one section of the restaurant. There were lots of flatscreen TV's (sports bar, duh!). One was showing the Canadian Open. I don't watch golf, neither was I interested in the sport but Canada has a conquering hero... that day Nick Taylor drained a 72-foot putt to win the RBC Canadian Open... a miracle playoff putt that ended a seven-decade drought. So congrats, Canada! Anyway, that's my sports tidbit for that day. I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad and hubby got the Classic Burger. Prices were on the high side. Maybe because I'm looking at the bill in Canadian dollars. Anyway, the patty on the burger was an 8-oz angus beef. Hubby enjoyed it. Salad was good... it was a generous portion, loved the bacon bits. Our server was great! Our side was pretty empty. She did good in checking on us once in a while and comes to refill our glasses of water when necessary. Review #3046
