Instead of our usual stop at a chain restaurant, we decided to go local and visit Stroudsburg. What a quaint Main Street! We found Chris restaurant serving Polish cuisine. There is street parking available. Not sure if there are municipal lots. We each ordered a different dish: Polish Platter, Vegetarian Platter and Grilled Bass. They were all very good. The decor is cozy. There is sidewalk seating and window seating. There is a bar but currently it is BYOB. Service is friendly and attentive. There is an extensive menu. Decent portions. We didn't order dessert because we were full. Close to I-80 and easy to get back on. Definitely recommend!

I have missed Ukrainian meals from my Mom, but Chris and company made me feel like I was home again. The ambiance is cool and welcoming and the service is wonderful. I tried the Polish platter of kielbasa, pierogis, sauerkraut, and stuffed cabbage. This was exceptional thanks to an excellent mix of flavors. I have not had such amazing kielbasa that was meaty and not greasy. And the unsweetened iced tea I drank was the best I have ever had - truly. I cannot wait to return to try more meals from their very varied menu. Even if your palate does not scream for Polish food, they have many other offerings available.

This was SO delicious and authentic! The Polish platter was a 10/10. You can BYOB also!

Ok two weeks ago we stop for a late lunch early dinner. I've lived in Stroudsburg for over 20 years and it's touch go here with eating out which is a shame.! we decided to go to Chris for the first time we heard it was a new Polish place We were the only ones there because we were early. They had it decorated so beautifully for valentines !and I'm sorry to say I didn't get the hostess name. She was very well manner attentive and knew the menu well OK let's start with the food. We decided to try a couple of things we started with the stuffed cabbage, which was amazing ! one of the best I've had in a long time and I'm not Polish. Then I had the tripe soup ! It's not for everyone, but if I go somewhere and they have it on the menu, I always try it ! It was a bit salty, but I was still able to eat it. Then we had the Hungarian style potato pancake platter with Beef goulash. And the Polish sausage platter me and my husband split it because we wanted to try more than one plate for dessert which I normally don't eat. They bake on premises the had regatta pistachio cake. Amazing.!! It's a must try !! so will I go back here again? Yes, absolutely anybody in Stroudsburg or passing through Stroudsburg should try this place.

The Food was amazing the resturant is beautiful the restroom was very clean. I can't wait to go back!

Hand's down the best meal we've had while visiting this week! I enjoyed the White Borscht soup. FULL of flavour. Served with a very generous portion of kielbasa, boiled eggs and rye bread. Absolute heaven!!! Haven't had it in ages and was so happy that Chris' didn't disappoint! Also had a small order of fried pierogis (4.) My husband had the broiled polish sausage that came with two sides. He had the garlic Parmesan potato wedges. SO DELIGHTFUL!!! Garnished with fresh dill. His second side was creamed spinach. Again, DELICIOUS!!! Waitress was attentive. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone. What a gem in Stroudsburg!

It's an interesting place and location with a nice back view (if we had been offered a table there…read moreinstead of against the wall). Nice menu and special choices and full bar. The Bloody Mary sinks were good, the potato skins were ok but a tad bit dry but their limited vegetables mussels appetizer was good except they forgot the garlic bread for it until we inquired. The ham special was good but their limited vegetables choices were odd only broccoli or carrots. The stuffed twin lobster special was disappointing as the lobster was over cooked and rubbery and the crab stuffing was somewhat over done and just laid on top. Service was good but interesting that none of the servers had any type of standard uniform or more formal wear then camo or T-shirts, but I guess most business are happy that employees actually show up.

Staff were all friendly and attentive. We sat at the bar; drinks were good. Food was delicious too- husband had fried shrimp basket ($14) and I had fried chicken ($15). Both came with French fries but mine also had fried onion rings. There was a nice crowd there on a Friday night in November and there was a gods sound system for the music. When the weather gets warmer, we look forward to going to their outside pavilions. I'm told there is also a cigar lounge outside.

Absolutely, unequivocally, hands-down, the WORST Sushi Restaurant I have ever been to!…read more We walked in and were met with the entirely too loud rap music playing punctuated every so often by the sound of a microwave beeping. We ordered a few rolls and watched as food seemingly came out at random and was brought from table to table in search of the person who unfortunately ordered it. Three separate dishes were brought to us by mistake that we did not order until mine was brought over. If you like terribly overcooked long grain white rice, this is for you! The rice was a mashed glutinous mess and dominated the roll. The roll was almost 3" thick and VERY subtly filled. 90% RICE! When I say there was enough of this mushed rice paste to feed a small Vietnamese village, trust I am only exaggerating a little. The eel that managed to make it inside was dry and overcooked by Chef Mike I presume, based on the previously mentioned beeping noise, and the eel sauce tasted like Kikoman Teriyaki soy sauce. I called the waiter over and he took the roll back with no explanation needed. It seemed like he already knew it was going to be bad. My wife had a fried chicken roll abomination of some sort which was somehow hot and cold at the same time. The chicken was over-crispy on the outside and like a rubber band on the inside. I paid the bill to escape and we went to find dinner anywhere else! Avoid this place at all costs. I would suggest eating $1 sushi at a roadside gas station in Altus Oklahoma at closing time before recommending this spot to my worst enemy. I had great expectations for this place based on the other spots with the same owners. The Farmhouse across the street is PHENOMENAL and never comes close to disappointing. NOKA went the other way I suppose.

Originally, I was going to give 3 stars but now it's 1 after speaking to the staff. If you are…read morelooking for traditional sushi, let me save you the trip - don't go here. Don't be misled by all of the 5 star reviews on Google - they're giving out free dessert for Google reviews. I visited on a Wednesday night, not during college season, and there were only five other people in the restaurant. My husband ordered a hot tea. It came out ice cold, and when we mentioned it to the waitstaff, she immediately said "I'll microwave it". Microwave it? Why is a sushi place unable to give me hot tea without a microwave? We ordered the hamachi jalapeno appetizer, and were slightly confused when it came out as nearly a pound of fish. The knife work clearly was mediocre, the yellowtail looked like it had been hacked apart - not thin, clean slices like you'd expect. My husband and I both ordered temaki (hand rolls); I personally ordered the flight - three specific hand rolls. My husband ordered three individual hand rolls - not a flight - because he didn't want the three named in the flight. The wait staff needed to come back to confirm, because they were questioning why my husband didn't just order the flight. Because you can't design your own flight for some reason? My "hand rolls" came out before my salad. These are not hand rolls, I was presented with 3 loosely packed fish tacos, literally served on a taco stand. I was not provided a plate to eat on, so I had to use my hands to catch what was falling out of this taco. The staff watched me do this and did not offer me a plate. While fighting with my fish tacos, we overheard the staff AGAIN discussing my husband's order because the "sushi chef" didn't understand and apparently made the wrong thing. At that point we realized it had been 25 minutes since my food had come out, and nothing had been said to us about the delay with my husband's food. Why did I wait 60 minutes total for 6 fish tacos, when there's only five people in the restaurant? I approached the wait staff to let them know we were disappointed about the long delay between our dishes coming out. Instead of offering any niceties, explanation, or customer service, the staff argued with me that "there's only one chef". When I pointed out the lack of communication, she had no response and the "chef" was giving me the death glare. This is not traditional sushi, they don't have hot water for hot tea, they don't know what temaki is, and don't know how to pace food. They also don't care about communicating with customers. If this had been even a shred better, I'd be here weekly. If you want PHENOMENAL sushi, go to Tokyo Sushi in Easton.
