Very glad I decided to visit this restaurant. I'm a big sushi person and this was exactly what I was looking for in the area.

The first clue should have been that no one was in the restaurant at 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday. My daughter ordered a salmon avocado roll, we split the pork dumplings, and I had the chicken teriyaki bowl. The sushi roll was nearly twice as thick as what I would expect from a Chumaki (medium roll), which is typically around 1.5 inches in diameter and usually contains two to three fillings. The pork dumplings tasted like they had been frozen. They lacked flavor and were heavily garnished with a variety of seasonings that didn't improve them. The chicken teriyaki bowl looked appealing when it arrived, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The chicken was heavily seasoned and cut into very large pieces, making it difficult to eat with either a fork or chopsticks. The only thing that really made the dish "teriyaki" was the sauce added at the end. Unfortunately, the chicken was warm while the sauce was cold, apparently having been stored in a chilled bin, so the combination was not very appetizing. Another issue was the atmosphere. Throughout our entire visit, the gentleman behind the sushi bar preparing the food carried on a loud conversation with the waitress, including frequent profanity, as though they were hanging out at home rather than working in a restaurant. It made the dining experience uncomfortable and unprofessional. The restaurant itself has a nice appearance, but the food and service need significant improvement, especially in an area with so many dining choices. Ordered takeout because we were looking for something quick and clean to hold us over for dinner. We ordered 3 items (vegetable dumplings, avocado roll, miso soup). There were 6 people dining in. We waited 45 minutes for the worst food we had ever had. The avocado in the roll was brown, the dumplings had meat in them and were still cold and the miso soup was just mediocre miso soup. Worst experience ever. Will never order this again. read more

Sushi - have hard carrots - dried out (old) Crab sushi - boil crab rolled on seaweed no taste. Bun Bao - filling not saucy (dried)-not good. The miso soup so dark broth- not sure why but pass on trying it. The salad organic green salad is bland and drowing with dressing like a soup. I rather eat on the real Japanese sushi restaurant! Everything was wonderful! Our waitress was super friendly and informative. The sushi was fresh and absolutely amazing. My partner had the Philadelphia Roll and Tuna Nigiri. I had the Beverly Hills California Roll. The place itself was super cute and we were able to chat with the person preparing the sushi. read more

Originally, I was going to give 3 stars but now it's 1 after speaking to the staff. If you are looking for traditional sushi, let me save you the trip - don't go here. Don't be misled by all of the 5 star reviews on Google - they're giving out free dessert for Google reviews. I visited on a Wednesday night, not during college season, and there were only five other people in the restaurant. My husband ordered a hot tea. It came out ice cold, and when we mentioned it to the waitstaff, she immediately said "I'll microwave it". Microwave it? Why is a sushi place unable to give me hot tea without a microwave? We ordered the hamachi jalapeno appetizer, and were slightly confused when it came out as nearly a pound of fish. The knife work clearly was mediocre, the yellowtail looked like it had been hacked apart - not thin, clean slices like you'd expect. My husband and I both ordered temaki (hand rolls); I personally ordered the flight - three specific hand rolls. My husband ordered three individual hand rolls - not a flight - because he didn't want the three named in the flight. The wait staff needed to come back to confirm, because they were questioning why my husband didn't just order the flight. Because you can't design your own flight for some reason? My "hand rolls" came out before my salad. These are not hand rolls, I was presented with 3 loosely packed fish tacos, literally served on a taco stand. I was not provided a plate to eat on, so I had to use my hands to catch what was falling out of this taco. The staff watched me do this and did not offer me a plate. While fighting with my fish tacos, we overheard the staff AGAIN discussing my husband's order because the "sushi chef" didn't understand and apparently made the wrong thing. At that point we realized it had been 25 minutes since my food had come out, and nothing had been said to us about the delay with my husband's food. Why did I wait 60 minutes total for 6 fish tacos, when there's only five people in the restaurant? I approached the wait staff to let them know we were disappointed about the long delay between our dishes coming out. Instead of offering any niceties, explanation, or customer service, the staff argued with me that "there's only one chef". When I pointed out the lack of communication, she had no response and the "chef" was giving me the death glare. This is not traditional sushi, they don't have hot water for hot tea, they don't know what temaki is, and don't know how to pace food. They also don't care about communicating with customers. If this had been even a shred better, I'd be here weekly. If you want PHENOMENAL sushi, go to Tokyo Sushi in Easton. read more

This is NOT a sushi place and is owned by the farmhouse owners and not Japanese. Food was terrible and took over 45 mins even though the place was empty. Your waitress and another girl prepare the food and that's all that is working in the whole restaurant. They ran out of rice! They had no tuna. No mango. Several other menu items were not available. The dumplings are from a box not fresh (although the only item that was actually good). The sushi came out with no plates and my soup was given with no spoon. My husbands crab salad had so much wasabi "sauce" he could not eat it. The cucumber salad was simply a fresh cut cucumber with soy sauce made fresh not marinated. Even the bathroom ran out of toilet paper. We will not be going back. I would trust gas station sushi more than this place. read more

Absolutely, unequivocally, hands-down, the WORST Sushi Restaurant I have ever been to! We walked in and were met with the entirely too loud rap music playing punctuated every so often by the sound of a microwave beeping. We ordered a few rolls and watched as food seemingly came out at random and was brought from table to table in search of the person who unfortunately ordered it. Three separate dishes were brought to us by mistake that we did not order until mine was brought over. If you like terribly overcooked long grain white rice, this is for you! The rice was a mashed glutinous mess and dominated the roll. The roll was almost 3" thick and VERY subtly filled. 90% RICE! When I say there was enough of this mushed rice paste to feed a small Vietnamese village, trust I am only exaggerating a little. The eel that managed to make it inside was dry and overcooked by Chef Mike I presume, based on the previously mentioned beeping noise, and the eel sauce tasted like Kikoman Teriyaki soy sauce. I called the waiter over and he took the roll back with no explanation needed. It seemed like he already knew it was going to be bad. My wife had a fried chicken roll abomination of some sort which was somehow hot and cold at the same time. The chicken was over-crispy on the outside and like a rubber band on the inside. I paid the bill to escape and we went to find dinner anywhere else! Avoid this place at all costs. I would suggest eating $1 sushi at a roadside gas station in Altus Oklahoma at closing time before recommending this spot to my worst enemy. I had great expectations for this place based on the other spots with the same owners. The Farmhouse across the street is PHENOMENAL and never comes close to disappointing. On November 4th, my party and I decided to try Noka Sushi for the first time, and it was an excellent choice. I highly recommend the Blue Crab Poke Bowl as well as any of the sushi rolls on the menu - the portions were generous and perfect for sharing. Everything is made to order and can be customized, which really added to the experience. The quality of the food was outstanding, and every bite was absolutely delicious. We dined in, and both the service and ambiance were wonderful, making the evening more enjoyable. When you consider the portion sizes, the freshness and quality of the food, and the reasonable prices, you truly cannot go wrong with Noka Sushi. I enjoyed the food so much, I reordered my selections and took them as a "take out" order to enjoy the following day. I will definitely be returning! read more

we were created by a lovely server and she took our drink order right away. As soon as we were ready to order she was attentive and we placed our order. Then the chef disappeared. After 20 minutes we asked and our server, very apologetic, expressed that he went to the other restaurant they own down the street To get some ingredients but she was unsure when he'd return. After she tried to contact him many times and 15 more minutes went by we decided to leave. Saw the chef walking in on the way out, expressed our disappointment and he was quite UNapologetic.
