    Hello Tokyo Roll
    Chris J.

3 stars. It's ok. Nothing mind blowing. The hello Tokyo sushi roll was very good. Gyoza was good. Didn't care for the Philly roll. Atmosphere to me was let's slap together another Asian restaurant. There's too many better ones to go to. Nothing bad nothing makes me want to return if you get my drift.

We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival, with the restaurant at about half capacity. However, no one took our order for at least 10 minutes, so we had to ask the hostess for assistance. When our server finally arrived, we ordered food and requested an ice bucket and glasses for our beer. We received one glass instead of two and didn't bother asking for another, knowing how difficult it was to get service. While waiting, we noticed another table also had to ask the hostess for a server. When our food arrived, my sushi was missing. I ate some of the other dishes we ordered- dumplings, egg fried rice, and chicken nuggets. The dumplings and nuggets were good, but the rice was bland and lacked the extra egg we requested. By the time everyone finished eating, my sushi still hadn't arrived. A different staff member asked if we needed a box, and when I mentioned my missing order, he seemed unaware of it and said he would make it now. Our server returned shortly after, got my order wrong, and casually corrected himself when I pointed it out. When my sushi finally arrived, I realized I didn't have a dish for soy sauce. After another trip to the hostess stand, she returned with a soy sauce dish and said, "The soy sauce is right here on the table." I clarified that while we had soy sauce, I needed a dish to pour it into. She then proceeded to fill the dish to the brim with soy sauce before sliding it over to me- spilling some onto my napkin in the process. She quickly went to get me a new napkin, but anyone who eats sushi knows you don't need that much soy sauce for just one roll. The sushi itself was disappointing. Despite being hungry, I couldn't finish it due to the mediocre quality. Instead of ordering more food, I just ate snacks I had on hand. This was the worst restaurant experience I have had in the Poconos area.

First time here. Great first experience. Brightly-lit, spacious facility with soft music playing in the background. Not quiet, but tables are nicely spaced allowing for conversations without shouting to be heard. Our appetizers of veg gyoza and censoring rolls were delicious. The miso soup seemed to have a richer flavor than most. My wife enjoyed her onion soup with mushrooms in a tasty broth. Maki were well-stuffed. My "triple sushi deluxe" entree was presented in a wooden dragon boat. The fish were moist and tasty. Fluke was substituted for the yellowtail that was not available (they ran out as demand was high this evening). Service was attentive and quick. Overall, we had an excellent experience. Highly recommended - 4 Stars based on this first experience.

Good sushi, spacious and attentive service. Passing by after going to the Poconos. The fried ice cream was good too!

The menu offers all the usual sushi offering with some house special touches. Upon seating at the sushi bar we were given a fried salmon appetizer which was delicious. I love salmon skin hand rolls and saw that the menu has a salmon skin salad with cucumbers and seaweed. It was absolutely a delightful choice. I also ordered hamachi Kama. It was larger than expected, cooked perfectly and served on a bed of lettuce. Instead of the usual eel sauce there was a red rice wine vinaigrette that put the flavor over the top. My wife ordered a spicy crab and cucumber salad that was marvelous. She also ordered green dragon roll that was served on a beautiful dragon platter. All the sushi was fresh, made to order, large portions and is fairly priced. Everyone was friendly, professional and attentive. A definite must stop in, you won't be disappointed.

These were the "sake" cups or should I say mugs and the jug that had ice for me to cool the sake

The 3 stars are not for the food. Sushi is amazing but their menu has a lot of items that were not available which was disappointing. They didn't have toro, sweet shrimp and a lot more. The 2 stars are because they charged us $8 for a byob wine open fee. When asked they said it was for the sake cups and a jug with ice. I asked them for an ice container to cool my sake bottle. Now, they didn't have sake cups nor a proper container with that would fit the bottle. $8 was not right. I ended up paying for it. I have been to so many sushi places but this place shocked me.

The food was amazingly served and the presentation was amazing. The workers were very nice and served us at 10:00 with full energy, The interior was very nice tables were clean and lively. It had beautiful scenery and overall they are a small business that should be getting way more customers!

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, and the atmosphere felt cozy and inviting. There's plenty of parking, which is convenient, and while the restaurant itself is on the smaller side, it's thoughtfully laid out with about a dozen tables, comfortable booth seating, and even a private room that seats 10 -- perfect for intimate gatherings. While I personally prefer traditional hibachi tables, the food here was prepared absolutely perfectly. The service was good overall, though as the restaurant filled up on this busy Friday evening, we did find ourselves wishing for more frequent water refills. That said, the staff worked hard to ensure we were well taken care of. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They recommended our hibachi was-- perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. I even chatted with a larger table nearby to see what they had ordered, and they couldn't stop raving about their meals either. It's clear this restaurant is already making a great impression, and I have no doubt it's going to become a local favorite. If you're looking for a place with good food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming vibe, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! The menu has all my favorites.

We went to try this place out and were very happy with the food and service. We live near by and plan to go back regularly. The place was clean and the seating was comfortable. They have plenty of tables to accommodate eating in. We ordered some Special rolls and we enjoyed all of them. The presentation was good and the dishes complimented the food. Prices seamed reasonable. We are happy to have this place close by. Thanks!

I, and my group, had never seen a hibachi place with seats that are behind the chef and where you cannot see anything. What's the point of hibachi if you're not able to watch the chef? Then, you're crammed into the seats like a pack of sardines. Looking at the menu, the drinks do not have any prices. Our waitresses came around and took our drink orders, they kind of jumped around the table a little - taking order from half of my party and then jumping to one of the tables behind the chef stoves, then back to us. My husband orders a Strawberry Daqauri. I order a Pina Colada Daqauri and a water. Both of these are non-alcoholic. (This information is important for later) Drinks are brought out. It took roughly about 20 to 30 minutes for a chef to make their way around to us, no big deal. The music is loud and we can only hear the person next to us at best. Chef Harry and Nathan come out and starts cooking dinner. He warns us to backup and I cannot because my seat is in front of a beam, mildly dangerous. I had to turn away from the heat and brightness if the flames. Chef Harry starts cooking and he's very entertaining to watch and literally the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. When the protien is being cooked and served, they were served in very small portions. The NY Strip looks more like a flank steak and only had flavor from the fat of the steak. The chicken was dry and tasteless, the chicken teriyaki had no teriyaki. The food is mid, at best. It's absolutely not worth it for cheap chicken and flank steak from probably Aldi. The chef also seemed very confused by what order went to who and I don't really blame him with the amount of people that he has to manage. However, he messed up my friend's meal twice. First confusing his meal with his girlfriend's who was next to him, then the other he placed the shrimp on my other friend's plate then picked it up off her plate and moved it to his. What if they didn't know her or she was allergic to shellfish? We also received only one refill during this time. I drink a lot of water while eating so this was hard. Dinner wraps up, checks are served. My husband's Daqauri was $6 and mine was rang in as a virgin Pina Colada (I told them Daqauri) at $9. After mentioning this to the server, they have no way of ringing in a Pina Colada flavor for a Daqauri. She went to speak to her manager and we're informed that actually my husband's drink was also supposed to be $9 because all the virgin drinks are that much (much doubt). Then she walked away. Once the chef is done, they pretty much push you out the door, whether you're done eating or not, so they can turn the table. This is a tourist scam. Save your money and find another hibachi place.

I would say the high reviews are based on the locals that live in the area. I hate to say it but…read morethere isn't a lot of great food choices when visiting the Poconos. As an out of towner who has access to amazing cuisine options in my area this restaurant gets three stars and that's being nice. When you walk in it's like a motel entrance. Literally it has all the tourist pamphlets lining the entrance to the hostess stand which doubles as the front desk of the hotel. It's not welcoming and feels cheap. To get to the restaurant you walk down a narrow long bar area where plenty of locals (I'm assuming) were enjoying happy hour. Loud and unwelcoming imho. We were seated in a two top which is super close to another two top. When I requested a booth in leu of the table (every booth was empty) the hostess said they were all reserved. Noting during our entire dining experience there were empty booths. Felt a little shady. Server was very sweet and great personality but unfortunately was not very fast. Every time she finally came back to the table she was apologizing for taking so long. She had other tables but wasn't in the weeds that we could see (in my youth I worked both as a server and hostess). The homemade bread we were looking forward to wasn't fresh and it was lacking taste as was the dipping oil. Adding salt and pepper helped the oil dip. Even though we were both hungry we didn't eat all the bread. That's a problem. We ordered clams as an appetizer. Again, tasteless needed salt, no flavor otherwise. For dinner, I ordered a seafood trio with Brussel sprouts. My husband ordered a fillet cooked, medium with a baked potato. The crabcake lacked flavor had way too much filling tasted like it came from Cisco. After a second bite, I would not eat anymore. The shrimp was ho hum and the lobster not that great either. My husband's steak was very bland no flavor in the meat even though it was cooked to temperature with a slight char on the outside. Because of the slow service and lack of flavor in the food we just wanted to check and get out of there as quickly as possible. What a bust for over $200.

Bartender needs a lesson in being nice to people. It was like we were a bother when we ordered…read moredrinks. Food was horrendous. Massive servings of Bread, Sauce, Chips, but what we ordered was buried amongst them. Chicken wings were flavorless (dry rub), Bar fries were swimming in a sea of cheese sauce that was salty with the bacon bits. Prices are high and not worth it for subpar food. The shining star was our cheerful and accommodating waitress who was a light in a darkly lit room. My husband and I were nauseous all night and the exit wasn't pretty. Definitely a disappointment for a venue in our back yard.
