Two words: Breakfast Sandwich!…read more Cafe Duet is a great little spot tucked away by the Monroe County Courthouse. They have great coffee, pastries, small bites, and lunch options. The breakfast sandwich is phenomenal! As their menu states, it consists of "two organic eggs, split and grilled Spanish chorizo, sharp cheddar cheese and baby arugula on a fresh baked roll w/ a touch of sriracha mayo." The eggs are cooked perfectly! The contrast of the cheddar against the chorizo and sriracha mayo is wonderful and the peppery arugula comes through at the end. I would eat one every morning if my wallet/waist could afford it! The cafe is both large and small (you'll really only understand if you go) but I never have an issue finding somewhere to sit. In the warmer months, it's really nice to sit outside in their patio area. The staff is always accommodating and the place is well kept. Sometimes you wait a bit for things but it's never super long and they are pretty good at keeping you in the loop if there's an issue. Definitely a great spot worth checking out!

Cafe Duet is a quaint coffee shop in the Pocono area that serves up a great cup of mocha latte and…read moreamericano. My hot mocha latte (oatmilk, half decaf) was made perfectly. The coffee to milk ratio was good and the chocolate flabor was not too overpowering- it still tasted like a latte and not hot chocolate. It wasn't watered down, and was still rich and creamy. The americano was a good cup- straight to the point and robust. We also had the banana nut bread and the pistachio-cranberry-white mocha chip biscotti. Both pastries were pretty good. Some tables had ordered hot food like waffles and soups, which looked pretty good and we might try this place out for a snack or breakfast in the future. Interior is pretty with plants, a record player playing jazz, and clean tables and chairs. Service is friendly, interior is old world charm, coffee and pastries are great. Public parking, ccs, Apple Pay. Public metered parking. Would recommend!

NYC Street Grill Halal absolutely exceeded the hype. The food, service, and atmosphere were all so…read moregood, but honestly the vibe is what stood out the most. You can immediately feel how happy and welcoming everyone is the second you walk in. Even the customers were smiling, chatting, and being kind to each other... it just felt like one of those places people genuinely enjoy being in. I ordered the chicken halal over rice and baklava, and I'm already thinking about when I can go back The baklava situation alone deserves its own review because you get four pieces in an order and can mix flavors. I tried the chocolate and pistachio baklava and both were unreal. Their dessert display should honestly come with a warning because everything looks amazing. Huge thank you to Jorge and Saiyu for being so welcoming to me my first time there. I recently moved nearby, so finding a spot with great food and great energy made me ridiculously happy. Safe to say this is officially going to be my "bring everyone here when they visit" place.

Ordered takeout since their outdoor seating wasn't up yet and we couldn't dine in with the pup. The place is rather small and more like a quick grab-and-go place than a dine-in restaurant. The menu is pretty basic (platters, pitas, burger, salads) with an extensive selection of middle eastern sweets and some cakes as well. I had the "everything" chicken over rice (platter) and it didn't disappoint. The chicken was flavorful and pretty good. My husband leaned into his usual splurge with a double patty burger and fries. He said the burger was very good (and rather large too) while the fries seemed to be frozen fries rather than fresh. We also had some of the walnut baklava, which was just okay. Didn't hit the mark or seemed super fresh. There seems to be only street parking. There are two machines where you can place your order and pay seamlessly with card / Apple Pay. The food didn't take too long to come out either. Solid spot and would return, but the halal in the TRUE NYC just CANNOT be beat, even when included in the name of the business...

Let me back up for a moment. To start I thought it was going to be a cool meal and place to sit. Usually Main Street you have indoor/ outdoor seating. Which they do sort of, indoor 2 tables crammed into a corner. They make coffee, but you need to do only what they know which is not much. They have a cooler for soda, which is double the price you can get from the convenience store Dales 25 yards away. The prices are outrageous. I did not even order because the rudeness, the cleanliness, and the prices. $20+ for a sandwich on bread. These are not subs, they are smaller than my mom made for school. I understand though. Boarding school on the hill. Take advantage of the kids because not much around for them. It is insane. This place needs to be avoided at all cost.

The "Sandwich" I ordered didn't even have bread on it. Just 2 sorry slabs of eggplant with nothing but unmelted cheese floundering in the middle. On your menu under "Sandwiches" it reads, "Eggplant- Generously sized (lmao) breaded eggplant with arugula, red onion, provolone, & balsamic aioli on fresh ciabatta bread." Look at this picture for crying out loud. In what way is this cheapskate poor excuse for food generously sized?? They charged me ~$45 for 3 sandwiches like this and refused to reimburse me. Have fun with your soon to be floundering business. You have brought shame to your ancestors in having absolute zero pride in your craft. You won't be seeing me back again. And to the rude girl who served me.. good luck living off the land, serf.
