As a business owner,…read moreoffering nothing but positive customer service experiences is my top priority -- so when I'm met with the complete opposite, I will take 10 minutes out of my day to make sure someone else isn't treated the same. I have worked with E&D Plastics for a couple of years now in a professional realm. I own a frame shop (The Gallery Frame Shoppe + Goods) in Wichita Falls, Texas -- finding someone to make acrylic wall frames + sandwich frames for us is a challenge here locally, so we reached out to E&D for our acrylic needs. Our professional relationship started off great, but diminished rather fast. In order to get frames made for my customers, I put up with their demeaning attitudes + lack of customer service. My last experience with them, on 1/5/21 was by far the worst experience I've ever had with any company in any setting. I ordered a 36x48" acrylic floater frame for a customer on 12/1/20. Lynn and I discussed exact dimensions, the height the floater frame needed to be, etc. to accommodate a shorter canvas than the usual 1.5" depth. They make custom acrylic pieces, though. so that shouldn't be a problem, right? I was told it would take 2-3 weeks, by 12/29/20 I reached out asking about it's status (as I have to plan + make the trip to Dallas from Wichita Falls to pick it up), to which Lynn replied, "it's ready." Bizarre, I wasn't emailed or called? So, I make the trip to Dallas to pick it up. It's wrapped completely in clear wrap -- I trust them, so Lynn and I load it up and I'm back on the road. I get to my shop, unwrap the floater frame to find that it is nearly an inch taller than it was supposed to be and has one unacceptable, rounded out corner (please reach out for photos). I called, left messages, emailed Lynn regarding the issue -- to which I finally get a reply saying that they'll refund me + refuse to make a new frame (please reach out for photos). So, I'm left without a frame for my customer who has now waited over a month for her order to be ready. I'm completely appalled by their lack of customer service -- all future orders (including this botched order) will go to Bill's Plastics. I cannot fathom treating my customers like I've been treated by E&D.

Every single canvas here could have gone home with me and I'd have been thrilled. The collection is so fresh and contemporary, it actually made me want to start five projects at once. They don't have a ton of large-format canvases, but there are some. Personally, I just wrapped up a belt project that took me...wait for it...20 years. Yes, two decades. I like to think of it as slow stitching, not procrastination. After finally finishing, over the past 6 or so months, I searched and searched for my next project and am a little bummed I didn't find this shop sooner. Turns out they weren't on Yelp. I actually stumbled upon them on TikTok, and in true enabler fashion, I set them up on Yelp myself. I had already bought my next canvases online, so when I came in I only needed all the fun extras to get started. Alice, who helped me, was fantastic. She set me up with the perfect thread colors, a needle minder, needles, stretcher bars and pins, and even a stitch book. Basically, she made sure I had everything except the snacks to sustain me through my next marathon project. And get this, they have in store classes too (check the website)! I'm absolutely psyched to go, because I could use a few tips to shorten my average project timeline from 20 years to less than 10. This place is such a great find. Whether you're brand new and "needlepoint curious" or a long-hauler like me, stop here first. You'll walk out happy, inspired, and probably with way more goodies than you planned. This place was literally the highlight of my week!!!

I've had some disappointing (to say the least) surprises at other frame shops so I'm always hesitant to trust them. E.g.- Once someone cut off the deckled edge of a linocut print. Another shop decided that the wooden frame that I picked out needed to be touched up with red "accent" paint. (Neither of these choices were previously discussed with me.) Having artwork framed should be straightforward, easy, and ultimately you need to know that your items will be kept safe and that the integrity of the piece will not be compromised. So when I relocated to Dallas I took a couple of prints in to test the waters and now I fully trust Art & Frame Expo with anything! I've been going here for years. At this point I've taken well over a dozen items in for framing and I've found them to be nothing but professional. I'm always excited to work with them and trust their opinion as well. Customer service is top notch! They do beautiful, high quality work and for those that think it's too expensive, all I can say is- you get what you pay for.

She is often very busy, but she and I always chat and exchange pleasantries. I have brought many items to the store to sell, and everything I have brought has sold quickly! I created a registry online for a bridal shower but with limited options online (which I have no problem with), I thought it would be beneficial for me to go in person to add items or at least create a list of recommended items to facilitate the gift-buying process for my guests. When I went into the store, one of the women at the register could not have seemed more displeased or bothered to be helping me. She was irritated that I had created an online registry in the first place and that I was in on a Saturday without an appointment. I reiterated that the intent of my visit was simply to add a few items, not to choose China and table placements (which of course would take much more of their time and attention). Neither women offered to help me (they weren't helping anyone else) but told me to just come back on Monday and to call the girl who is in charge of registries. I left completely amazed at the clear lack of interest to help me (or at least attempt to be nice and apologetic for not being able to help me), the rudeness, and the absolutely poor customer service. Madison has the cutest things (hence why I was going to register there) but unfortunately, because of this experience, will be very hesitant to return.

I always try to shop small businesses, but I don't normally come across ones that will make exceptions to their no return policy. Kudos to this business! The item was beautiful and hand-beaded so the quality this store offers was never an issue. I still have an issue with being followed around and being watched like a hawk the entire time I was there. I hope they talk to their employees about how uncomfortable this makes the customers as I would like to come back here if I was back in town.

BEWARE! The items in this store are extremely overpriced and they won't let you return things and…read moredon't have the "All sales final" policy posted anywhere except at the bottom of the receipt. I bought a cape and some shirts and when I got home and tried the items on the chemicals from the factory they were made in caused an allergic reaction (nose running, watery eyes, throat closing up) and my mom had the same reaction as well. The cape did not have a tag that states the materials of the fabric or the country where it was made. It's as if they removed it. When I went to return the items the staff got really worked up and emotional about it and they sent a manager to talk to me and I think she was just told to tell me she wasn't going to refund my items no matter what. (I had receipts, all price tags were attached, and it was within a week of purchase.) I told her I had a reaction to the clothes and she said she wasn't going to question if my reaction was real or not but no one has ever had any problems with their clothes before. Then she asked me "What's the REAL reason you want to return these items???" I said, "They made me sick?!?!" That seems like a reasonable reason to return something. I also told her that if they don't allow returns they should tell people before they buy things. She said I would have known if I would have reviewed the bottom of the receipt. I asked her how seeing the policy on the receipt would have helped me know not to buy the item since you don't get a receipt until after you buy the item. How would that change anything? She goes, "Well, it wouldn't. It' wouldn't matter because you would have already bought it and all sales are final." I asked, "If I asked for a return immediately after being given the receipt and seeing the fine print on the bottom would I have been able to get a refund?" She said no and realized what she was saying did not make any sense. Then said they aren't required to have the policy posted anywhere in the store. I informed her that they absolutely are. By law. Then she said other shops around here don't allow returns and don't have signs posted. I said, "Well that is illegal." She said she didn't know anything about that and wasn't going to look into it. Eventually they agreed to give me store credit and they said the owner would call me and let me know if they decided to refund my money or not but it's been several weeks and I haven't gotten a call. No surprise there. After this experience I never want to buy anything from this store or their other stores (Houss on Bishop and Home on Bishop). **UPDATE** a few days ago I saw the EXACT same cape I purchased from their store for $170 (the item that did not have a factory tag) on amazon for $45. BEWARE OF THIS STORE!!!
