The only reason I'm writing this is because one of the larger firs were leaning and aimed towards my house where my children sleep. Once the permit was obtained in lake Oswego climbing monkeys were at my neighbors house PROMPTLY. My neighbor notified me that they would be in front out our houses at 8 am and they were. There was still ice on the ground and heavy winds and rain, climbing monkey still came with their whole crew. They brought wood chopper, crane, 2 trucks to haul and 11 crew members. They were all very kind and helpful, cleaned up our street of all the debris. Removed all the trunks and branches and kept things immensely tidy. When they came back on Saturday even with the high winds and rain they acted professionally and defied physics by cutting the top of the tree having it secured on rope, anchored to the tree and the truck and totally fell avoiding my neighbors house!!!! I was SURE it was going to knick the house, but it completely avoided all damages! Will try to post the video if I can get it from my neighbor. I have tried to call them and written to them several times about the damage. I don't think we can repair the drive but I want to ensure that they take steps to protect future clients. I went to their "office" in Beaverton to talk with them, but that is not a staffed office. After spending $11,000 with them, I felt it was reasonable to expect some reply to my concern or possibly some price reduction. I definitely expected (and feel any customer should get) SOME reply to my courteous effort to discuss the matter. After a month and multiple efforts, I have heard nothing from J&F. The inability to communicate with them is a problem for me and any new customer. It's too bad...I really appreciated the team and their work, but can't justify working with them again.

Quality Performance was used to trim a laurel hedge and remove a tree on the property line with my…read moreneighbors. The trimming and tree removal went fine, but they neglected to trim about 6 ft of the laurel hedge. In the written estimate that all parties agreed to it stated "reduce laurel to 10ft." When I called Quality Performance to discuss finishing the laurel job they explained that the whole hedge was not part of the estimate. I explained that nowhere in the estimate did it say they would not trim back the entire hedge. They began blaming my neighbor for the miscommunication when it is Quality Performance's responsibility to clearly indicate what is to be completed in the estimate. When I read "reduce laurel to 10ft" I assumed that meant the entire hedge and not a partial job. The worst part of working with this company was their customer service. What is clearly their responsibility they turned back around on me and my neighbors and were not open to listening or making the situation right. I will not work with this company again and I recommend anyone deciding to use them to be extremely clear in their written communication about what is to be completed in the job.
