This bakery has some beautiful displays of pastries. Stopped in after brunch and bought some items for take out. They serve pastries, crossisants, sandwiches, gelato, sorbet and coffee. The display of food and desserts are colorful and well displayed. I bought a flat chocolate crossisant and a tiramisu dessert. The items were very pleasing to the eye and had great flavor. For the crossisant since it is flat you can trick yourself that you are eating less calories but I did cut it in half and enjoyed it with some tea. The crossisant was fresh and the dark chocolate was a good quality. The tiramisu was creamy and had just the right amount of sweetness. I will definitely return to try more pastries, gelato and their coffee. read more

First of all, I love WP! Traveled from East Orlando with pleasure to get white macarons for my birthday cake. I googled this location, made the drive, arrived at 8:30p and lights off it was closed - great. No sign or anything. Checked the times again, and seen 9pm but decided to go midday just to be safe. I go and encounter the Art Walk and crowd but nonetheless I was determined to get these macarons, specifically from Le Macarons based on the Yelp reviews and location. When I get inside finally I notice a partially full display with a host of sweets already "sold out" - I buy the last 3 cookies and ask are there more I could buy or is this absolutely it. One person says "No,sorry" and the other says, "Yes, we have the let them "unthaw" . I say, cool my dinner party isn't until 7 so I could wait because they were for my cake decor. Long story short, I could not get the 3 more macarons and specifically the lady working looks at me a says with an attitude, "What we have here is all we have". The cashier must have felt the tension and apologized to me. Needless to say, I'm good on this business. I wish them much success. There are plenty of polite and kinder establishments that I can get macarons from. I ended up going to Publix which was a the best idea because the 3 I purchased from Le Macaron tasted like vanilla chalk. On a positive note, the Lavender macaron is amazing! read more

We stopped by to grab something sweet after dinner. The inside is very cute. They have a lot to choose from! The girl at the counter was so friendly and helpful. She gave us a lot of recommendations. We got a few sweet treats and ate them in the outdoor seating area. Everything tasted so fresh and light! I liked the Eclair, the Tiramisu left me wanting more of that espresso flavor you usually get, the cream puffs were the best! I highly recommend the Creme Brûlée cream puff! Another Downtown Winter Park gem. This cute little bakery is adorable. They have outdoor seating and offer happy hour treats. I got an oat milk chai tea and cookie to go. I will say they are on the pricier side, but the quality is great and I certainly couldn't make some of these items with the care and skill that they do! They couldn't make the first few items I selected because they didn't have the ingredients and what they created was impressive the worst coffee I have ever had. Stopped by here during our shopping in Winter Park. The place is set up like a jewelry store with desserts in display cases. My wife ended up getting the raspberry croissant and raspberry sorbet, which she could not stop raving about. I myself have too many allergies to partake in anything they had to offer. The worker was very cordial and accommodating. My only complaint about this place is similar to others, where they believe it is appropriate for the customer to pay the wages of their own employees. After being told the total, he partially flipped the screen for me to choose a tip, but ensured to leave the screen visible for him to see how much I would choose. I refuse to be guilted into helping a company pay a living wage to their own employees, especially after charging the amount they do for one pastry and a very small scoop of sorbet. If the employees think they deserve a tip for performing the tasks they are hired to do, maybe they should come mow my lawn. This way they can actually earn what they believe they deserve after putting forth the labor necessary to gain that privilege. Other than that, the products were great. read more

It's a cute bakery with friendly staff but a fairly limited assortment of pastries/desserts though definitely a wide variety of flavors. Given the name I figured I had to try the chou puffs so I ordered the bananas foster, passionfruit, and creme brulee. The creme brulee was probably my favorite of the bunch though the passionfruit was the most memorable - it was extremely tart! They weren't bad but it was $11.50 (incl tax) for 3 little bite sized pastries - and I get it they're complicated desserts and take time/effort to make but for me the experience wasn't worth the price. read more

I came here with high hopes. I pass by this shop on my way home nearly every day. The outside Of the building is pretty unassuming. It's easy to see the sign on the street, but the building is a bit small with an odd to navigate parking lot. The young lady at the counter was helpful and kind. The service was pretty standard. Pick your pastries from the case, total it up at the end. I got a Tiramisu eclair, Banana Choulala and Creme Brûlée Choulala, Almeretto Choulala. They were all pretty tasty, but a bit underwhelming. The eclair didn't have much of a coffee taste to make it Tiramisu, but it had a good cocoa flavor. The Choulalas themselves were perfect. They had a wonderful crunch and a soft inside. The Almetetto and creme brûlée were good, but the banana had an awful artificial flavor. I'm glad I gave them a try, but I won't be back. Upon opening the door, you will be greeted by the SUPER potent smell of poor plumbing or lord knows what else... but it's an AWFUL stench. We sat outside and every time someone opened the door, we were blasted with the terrible smell, so we did not stay long. We grabbed 4 desserts to go, and 2 of the 4 were frozen... which indicates that these are not fresh desserts. The cream puff/eclair had crunchy icicles in the cream... the banana pudding portion of the banana cream pie dessert was so frozen we couldn't insert the fork through it, but it didn't matter because once we put the fork into the cream, we realized there were hairs all over the top of it. I cannot believe this place is in business. The smell alone will keep me from ever trying this place a second time. read more

The new pumpkin flavor for fall is fun and tasty. The cookie butter flavor is exactly what I was hoping for with that bookie butter taste prevalent. The Choux dough did taste the tiniest bit "stale" but I came in at the end of the evening after the pastry had been sitting in the case all day. Still delicious and would recommend. A unique dessert experience. I had never had Choux before- a bite sized delight in similar size and shape to a macaroon but a bit thicker. The taste however... Completely different. The basic is a hard shell cookie .. the inside is a thick cold custard flavored to match the icing on the top of the Choux. We got a box of six, which is priced similarly to a box of macaroons. Just the right size for dessert and offered in a variety of delicious flavors. My favorite of the four I tasted was the lychee rose but there are several more I'd love to try. While a bit pricy for dessert, it'd be effective to take to a dinner party as a host gift, or to have on a special occasion (as was our case :)). The staff answered all our questions and the space was so cute. Would definitely return. read more

We visited this location one evening while walking down park ave. We had been a few times before for their eclairs, which were good. We decided to try their tarts and beverages. We ordered the chocolate bliss tart and the raspberry cheesecake tart. To drink, I got an iced matcha latte and my boyfriend got an iced mocha. The cashier was very nice and quick. She offered us a 10% discount randomly, which I thought was very nice. We took everything to go. My matcha was amazing and our pastries were perfect. However, the mocha was not good. It tasted as if the barista had poured hot coffee over ice, melting the ice, and making a very watered down drink. It tasted like watered down lukewarm coffee with a hint of chocolate drizzle. It was weak and flavorless. Maybe they knew a mistake was made and that's why a discount was slapped on? If that's the case, I would have rather been informed that the drink got messed up. However, everything else we got was really good and had a beautiful presentation. We'll go back for pastries for sure. read more

Ok, so first of all the pastries are a cheap imitation. This garbage is nowhere near French. If you think this is French you are simply uneducated. I can put a fry dog turd in a fancy box, it's not French patisserie, even if it was manufactured by a toy poodle with a ribbon on its head. Second of all we walked in and the place smelled like fresh human excrement. I'm not being ugly. At the end of the long display, straight across from the front door lives a bathroom, that had the door wide open. From it emanated the most unholy fumes of putrefaction one could ever imagine. Sadly, the suspect appeared to be none other than the well fed attendant behind the cash register. This immediately rose questions of proper hand hygiene and needless to say we made a hasty escape in an attempt to avoid dysentery. Avoid at all costs, attempt at your own peril. read more

I was not a big fan of Choulala Pastries. I love cream puffs, cookies and pastries so I thought for sure that I would love these. My daughter and I picked out our favorites (Tiramisu & Amaretto) and unfortunately they taste like refrigeration. It was difficult to get past that taste and find other attributes. There were tiny beads of condensation on top of the pastries as if they were defrosting or adjusting to a warmer temperature. The "cracker" was soggy but I liked that the custard was super cold. They cost $3.00 per bite size and get a little discount if you buy six. They have lots of flavors like Nutella, coconut, hazelnut,strawberry and more. They also sell eclairs and gelato. The sales associate was very friendly and informative when she served us. She did make us wait about ten minutes before she finally noticed my daughter and I. We could hear chatting and laughter coming from the back room. They do not have a little bell or any way to notify the employees that you have entered the store and the door to the back room is behind the register. While we waited a couple of people walked in and back out again. It would serve them well to create a way for customers to alert them when they enter. read more

Choulala (pronounced "shoe-la-la") is where you can find me ANYTIME I venture to Park Avenue in WP. My God! This is what happiness tastes like and we can all use A LOT of that right now, am I right? Last week, I took one bite of the LEGENDARY Salted Caramel and stopped dead in my tracks, in the middle of the street, and said "Jesus Christ." It's not just that first bite - it's the reaction your taste buds have immediately thereafter. The cream is so smooth and never overpowering. Of course, I must also recommend the Honey Lavender, Dark Chocolate and Blackberry flavors to you. Because I care about you, my fellow Yelper, and I would never steer you wrong. Peach Bellini will hide a hint of jelly inside (a delicate little chef's kiss inside a macaron), as does the PB&J. I NEED an excuse to purchase one of their mirror cakes, so someone somewhere have a birthday. A child. Whatever! But who am I kidding? I don't need a reason to return to Choulala. You won't either. I had never had choux pastry before. Wow! I really wish I knew the girls name that helped us out! She was the only one there yesterday when we came in! Anyways! This is such a cute little desert spot located in Winter Park! They have cute little pastries along with ice cream and eclairs :) they had one location on Semoran but moved to here in WP. I love the fact that you're able to try before you buy.
