Had Anyah come by for a last-minute Sunday home service and honestly, such a fun experience. I did a black gel mani with some floral nail art (inspo pic) and a simple black gel dry pedi. We ended up chatting the entire time, she's super nice, really funny, and made the whole appointment feel more like hanging out than anything else. It did take about 3 hours, so definitely a more relaxed session. Total was $130 including the home service fee. Attaching a photo for reference, but overall really appreciated the experience. I came in today for a French pedicure with Anyah and she did a great job I haven't had a pedicure in so long and she made sure my feet were supper clean, the foot soak came with some rose pedals, exfoliating scrub and a foot mask with a hot towel at the end. 10/10 would recommend booking her for your next pedicure read more

I love chosen hair salon in clovis ca. as soon as I walked in I felt welcomed . Kay and kelsey were so amazing . You can tell they both absolutely love what they do because it showed. Always asking me if I needed anything and made me feel comfortable by being so personable. At no given time did I feel uncomfortable. In fact I had such a blast . Which is so awesome. I've been going to Misty for my curly hair for almost two years now. I travel a lot for work but she's the only one who knows exactly what to do with my curly hair so I wait until I'm in the Clovis area to get my hair cuts! I usually get a deep conditioning, wash and cut but today I came in for a quick trim because I'd prefer not to trust anyone in the Bay area anymore with even that (I've tried haha). She never makes you feel rushed and takes her time really understanding your hair and what works best for your needs and face shape. I've followed Misty from the last few locations and will continue to do so but with that in mind I hope she stays at Chosen! The shop is super cute with a clean and open feeling when you walk in. They've even have an adorable little shop schnauzer(?) to greet you at the door! They are following all COVID guidelines as well. Everyone was wearing masks, they have a camera temperature scanner at the front door and hand sanitizer handy. You can feel at ease that they are taking precautions. Tina is ***AMAZING*** My daughter and I hadn't had our hair professionally done since 2019. (Pre-COVID-19) We are fairly new to Clovis and I was looking for someone that could do both my daughter's hair (who is mixed black and white) and my hair. I was looking for long layers. ***please note*** I only asked for a cut, so NO color was done to my hair. (see picture) My daughters hair now, is so healthy and bouncy and full of life. Tina has given her so much confidence! She included my daughter (although only 10), in the whole process, which made my daughter feel very grown-up! My haircut was an dreamy experience. I feel so pretty and chic. Easy breezy lemon squeezy! The whole process from the speedy response for an appointment, (which I did here on Yelp), all the way through was an easy 5 stars . The salon is clean, and beautiful! It is very light and airy. So welcoming! Tina is so patient and kind and she puts you at ease right away. The whole vibe of the salon is upbeat, yet calming at the same time. I am so grateful and thankful, and I love that CHOSEN SALON is faith based. Honestly one of the best curly cut experiences I've ever had. I was living in SoCal and just moved back to the area. Needed a new stylist and Chosen was recommended. If you are a curly girl you know how difficult it is to find a salon! My experience at Chosen with Tina is so good I'm still at the salon writing this review! Tina is truly skilled with all curl textures! Not only did she do an amazing cut, wash and style. But she helped me out with advice and tips for styling my hair at home. She gave great explanations as to products used, reasoning for doing certain techniques and more! On top of that she is so kind and inviting! I highly recommend! If you are a curly girl in the Central Valley you need to go to Chosen!!! I also got to see some of the other dyes and styles being done in the salon and let me that say, yes!!! I had a hair coloring appointment with Miranda and the color results I got for my money piece was not what I asked for. I provided pictures of the hair style/look and let her know I wanted a classic brunette color with a simple blonde money piece. The money piece turned out to be white/grey. Miranda toned it again to get to a honey blonde color but it came out more brunette/yellow. I spent 7 hours to end up with a color I was not happy with. I reached out the next day after my appointment to let Miranda know I was not happy with the color. She asked me to wait a week and to wash my hair 2-3 times to see if I liked the faded results and if I did not like the color after a week she would re-tone my hair a third time. I hesitantly agreed to wait, but decided to ask for a partial refund instead because I was not confident letting her try a third time. I just wanted to fix my hair somewhere else and move on. She denied my request for a partial refund and blocked me on her business Instagram account. I brought up that she did not have a refund policy on her business page and 25 minutes later she updated her policy to reflect "no refunds". My services were $325. This is the worst hair experience I have ever had. I will now be going somewhere else to fix my hair. I've been a previous client and never felt uncomfortable before until my most recent visit and now the Environment feels different and awkward. You can tell and feel there is some tension in the air between stylists. One stylist came off as obnoxious and rude. Another was dressed provocative with very short shorts and I was not expecting to see such unprofessionalism. What she was wearing felt very uncomfortable to be around. Sad to have this coming from a business that claims to be "Christian-like" would not recommend coming here and I will not be returning anymore....smh read more

I am disappointed about my experience. My last trim/cut was 7 years ago and I really needed the ends of my hair clipped. I had very long hair and I was not looking for much to be taken off. I showed my hair stylist how much length I wanted cut off, but I think she may have misunderstood given the position of my hand against my chest. I wish we would have both been clear about how much exactly I wanted trimmed. I asked for several layers, but was only given one-two layers and not at all what I had in mind. I like my hair tapered, but the shape of my hair was odd somewhat uneven after my first wash revealed it's natural state vs the styled state from the salon. I am very picky and specific about my hair and I don't like the cookie-cutter Clovis hair style everyone here has adopted. She used multiple hair products and sprays and swore by them, but I became upset once I realized that these products have burned and fried the ends of my hair. That was my primary reason for wanting a trim in the first place. It was ironic to me that my hair had been burnt and fringed. Following that, I vaguely mentioned waxing my eyebrows, but i had planned to make an app at Spoil Me Wax. She took it upon herself to provide that service (she was really just trying to be nice) which was sweet, but I wish I would have known that she kind of stinks at waxing eyebrows. Again, I am particular about symmetry especially with eyebrows. She really messed them up and altogether made me feel ugly. I thought this was a beauty salon? In addition, they have an obnoxious dog that barks at everyone and everything. I found it unsanitary that this dog was running around and hopping up onto the furniture. I am allergic to dogs and I think if he were well behaved I could see past my bias, but that is me nit picking. To end this traumatic experience we met at the counter for the final payment and I found it unprofessional when she asked for a tip. I am a big tipper, but not on this particular transaction. 10/10 do not recommend. To be clear, I found my stylist sweet and polite, but unprofessional and in need of much more practice. Had my hair cut and styled by Tina herself. She added life to my hair. Not only that, I had such a wonderful experience while in her salon. I loved the atmosphere, her salon doggo is the cutest, there's complimentary coffee and drinks available. Tina also took the time to teach me how to style my hair to make the curls stay longer. If for some reason you're not satisfied with your haircut, she'll fix your hair at no charge if you notify her within 7 days. I wanted to treat my nearly 13-year-old granddaughter to a professional haircut and I'm SO glad I came across Chosen Salon! Tina was vey attentive, kind, and extremely thorough. Tina's little dog sat on my granddaughter's lap while she was having her hair washed, it was so sweet!And she passed on her expertise on how to style curly or wavy hair by patiently teaching my granddaughter how to do it herself.
