I recently went to this place for a partial highlight and haircut. My hair before the visit was brown with outgrowth from previously highlighting my hair. I bought a Groupon for Chantelle and her reviews had me believing I chose correct. I was wrong. I told her i wanted highlights in a color not too different from my natural hair color, i even showed her a pic and she said she understood what i wanted. I came out of the salon with a blond/orange hair almost 5 hours later because she took 2 customers at the same time. Very unprofessional and low quality! I used to love coming here and getting my hair done by Tabitha but every time I've been there the owner (Irene) always stared and gave dirty looks. Super uncomfortable to be around her. And recently I have witnessed a sociopathic side of her that was hidden because she "owns the salon". She is always negative and never smiles or talks. She is sitting in her office yelling on the phone called a customer "A FAT MEXICAN" that's very unprofessional in my opinion. I'm constantly on the search for a good hairdresser. I always find gold mines every now and again, and then I always feel the need for a change. Maybe that's my OCD with my hair? I was visiting one of my friends in Fresno, and she recommended this beauty salon and hair dresser (Trish) to me. The salon was very clean, modern, great music, and always friendly faces. :) I went to see Trish that works there....and OOOO....EEEEMMM.....GGGEEEEE....She is SO freakin good!! Not only did she quickly "get" what I wanted, but was super fast and efficient. I'm used to going home with a numb butt, a wet back, and very nauseous from the 3.5+ hours of smelling the salon.....I was in and out of there in 1.5 hours. Can you say AWESOME?!?! The only sad part is that I don't live in the 'NO to make this my go to place....BUT....every time I head up there, I def wanna make her apart of my visit...I mean, It'll be only 1.5 hours out of my visit!! ;) There are many different ladies from different age groups and different styles....but all in all, they all seemed to know what they were doing...AND they all have great rapport (SO important). read more

I love Trish she's the best. She's been doing my hair for like 15 years. She always does an amazing job. She has done my hair for formals, proms, weddings and everything in between. You can be very specific with her or let her work her magic. She's a great colorist and stylist. Tabitha, who also works there is a great manicurist stylist and makeup artist. Trish and Tab did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I never felt more beautiful. They're basically the best glam squad in Fresno and for very reasonable prices! Tabitha Fajardo is seriously the best. I met her through another mutual friend and started seeing her when I had dry, damaged, over-bleached hair. She has restored my hair without compromising the color I want (super blonde). She knows her stuff, that's for sure! She's also done my makeup for special occasions and each time it has been amazing. From Halloweens, to engagement photos, to birthdays, etc. Truly detailed work. What I love about Tabitha is that she is always honest and works to achieve what you want. She is always suggesting ideas and we "collaborate" together on styles and color. I love it! I have never ever been unsatisfied with her. She is always super busy so sometimes works on 2 clients at once (when one is processing, she may be cutting or styling another), which is totally fine with me. It's been two months since my last review. Just recently I was contacted by Camille who had previously done my hair and messed up. She continues to put blame on me for how my hair turned out. She's harassed me and my family and her salon buddy Tabitha got in on it harassing my sister in law on her review of the salon as well. I've NEVER in my life been treated so poorly by a professional. I've never been harassed or insulted like I was. I suggest you find some new hairstylists because you have some very unprofessional ones working your salon. read more

Ehh im happy with my hair cut by CHONTAL WOLF. But i bought a groupon for a cut, wash and a style. She books her clients too close together therefore she was in a major rush doing my hair.. I know she could have done a much better job if she would have just took the time. But no. I had to correct her twice because my hair was a bit choppy the first two times she tried to rush me out..and i left with a hair only a cut no wash or style which i paid for on groupon. Chantelle literally resurrected my hair lol. I spent all this money on facial products hoping they would make me look younger and then I got my hair died by Chantelle and realized it was my old hair color that made me look substantially older. Ever since my dye by Chantelle I have received numerous compliments about my hair color and it making me look so much younger. I want to start off by being clear that I have never written a review on Yelp, but my experience at Red Ruby Salon was so horrendous I felt strongly that I needed to warn others to STAY AWAY from this place!!! My mother and I had each purchased a Groupon for highlights and a hair cut from the stylist Chantel . We arrived prior to our scheduled time of 12:00pm only to find our stylist in the middle of finishing one client and just beginning another( which she admitted was not scheduled but took her in any way as she was the daughter of someone she knew?!?! ) She made comments like " You girls relax.. I'll be with you soon... Soon... Soon??? Soon turned into 1:30!!! Yes a full hour and a 1/2 after our appointment was supposed to begin she began working on my Mom when she abruptly stopped , put her under the dryer so she could take another client who had just walked in to get there hair " fixed" from an apparent highlighting job that Chantel had botched. She then slaps some color on her hair .... Puts her under the dryer and begins on me ( mind you my Mother is STILL under the dryer herself. As if things couldn't get any worse ... she slaps some color on me ... rushes me under the dryer as she begins yet another woman's hair!!!??? Oh, let me not forget that during all of this Chantel has said over and over again she had big plans tonight with her husband... they are going out to dinner and she NEEEEDS a drink ... She's looking forward to the drink more than the food .. She wants a drink now. As you can only imagine we were left under that dryer for wayyyy to long which resulted in some shade of orange for my mother with a cut that resembled something a MAN would receive and I was left full on GRAY!! At 6:00pm we finally emerged from this place and in tears I headed straight for Sally's Beauty supply as I couldn't imagine functioning even one day with this mess she left me with . The girl working in Sally's ( Along with a few customers!!) wanted to know where I had gone ... As to warn others never to go there.The girl at Sally's apologized profusely for what had happened and said she " Just couldn't believe she would leave my hair like this????" The owner /manger ( what ever her title is) was there on this occasion and had full knowledge of past grievances ... Yet she allows her to stay ??!!! Well much like Chantel and her obvious "overbooking" the manger is considers with $$$ and not the clients!! read more

I had an amazing experience here. When I first moved to Fresno I went to a place recommended by a friend and had a hairdresser basically butcher my hair. I had to let my hair grow out and had two cuts to try to remedy all the damage ( with hair dresser not in Fresno). I was really traumatized about going anywhere else in Fresno but caved because I really needed trim. I found their salon by accident- just happened to walk by at that shopping center. Their salon just gave me a good vibe - It is really clean and cute; they offer cookies and coffee while you wait. I got a last second appointment with Victoria. She did an amazing job! She managed to fix all the remaining issues from my prior cut without having to take too much off. She also did a great job styling my hair after. Also, not expensive at all considering how friendly they are and how nice the salon is. Would recommend to anyone :) read more

I was referred to Tabitha through my wedding Photographer for a Bridal Hair and Makeup Trial. I was so disappointed when I left. I was only at the Salon for about 45 min. Tabitha rushed through everything. She did my hair first and my make up last. My curls were flat by the time she finished my make up. She didn't take the time to match or blend my make up correctly. My face and neck were two different colors! When confronted about my concerns she didn't try to make it right, instead she responded with "this is a trial! The not the real day." This place is super cute and I REALLY want to give this place 5 stars because all of the stylists are very nice and do a good job. I have been to this salon twice for hair and highlights with Erica. She was recommended to me by one of my friends. It has taken me so long to find a hairstylist that does haircuts and highlights well and I was really excited because I thought I finally found my hairstylist. The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because I have tried to contact Erica to set up an appointment SEVERAL times and she doesn't ever respond. I've heard through a couple people that they have had the same problem when trying to book appointments with Erica. You'd think that if you are a hairstylist you'd want to set up appointments to keep your clients, wouldn't you? It is really too bad because I liked her and would have been a returning client. Now I am on the search for a new hairstylist that can cut and do highlights well for an affordable price. Anybody have any ideas? read more

This salon was recommended to me. That lady was over an hour late for my appointment, I live and hour away so this was just not okay. The whole time she was on her phone and hiding in the back to talk. Most of them were doing this. They also sat there and discussed an upcoming trip that a few of the hairdressers were going on. And talking about all the money they make. To bad she didn't listen to one thing i said about my hair and it is sad that i went and had to buy my own stuff to fix it.
