With their premium Salads being fully customizable to each customers own individual preferences while offering super fresh locally and responsibly sourced ingredients the end product results are incredibly delicious and nutritious. Another thing that I really like about Chopt is that upon completion of your order all these tasty ingredients get tossed into a large bowl and "chopped" into bite sized pieces, that's where the name comes from. Relatively good service, food is as expected compared to other Chopts' I've been to. However, one employee had their own explicit rap music playing over the in-store music. This music was audible for the entire store to hear. Not only is this very annoying but disrespectful. The clear disregard for a peaceful environment for patrons is deeply disturbing. I had such an amazing experience today. I ordered the Kale Caesar, and the manager Zion was so helpful, she recommended trying it with the basil Caesar dressing and it was so good. I've always been a fan of Chopt since they built a location near my office in NYC. I love it so much that here in NJ, I drive 25 mins to eat in or take out from this New Providence location. Still awesome. Occasionally i might get too much dressing so I recommend you get it on the side or set it to light but this doesn't happen often. I ordered my salad before I left work and it was ready when they said it would be. I designed my own salad which included a number of ingredients and the greens that I chose was Romaine lettuce. The Romaine lettuce was not fresh and it was only the dark green Outer leaves which were bruised and none of the lighter green crunchy Romaine. The salads are always great here. Service quick... sometimes too quick and I feel overwhelmed, the ambience is just a simple open space. Quiet enough that you can sit, have your lunch and catch you to emails. Plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall type of locations. Well, I'm glad that there's a location in the area. I ordered a hot bowl and it was too salty to consume. I tried this place for the first time the other day. I would have to agree that you are not getting much protein for the price you are paying. You are definitely receiving a lot of salad. I ordered the Sesame Ginger Crunch Salad that comes with grilled chicken, rainbow carrots, broccoli, pickled red onions, crispy shallots, romaine, cabbage & cilantro blend. I got the Asian crunch salad, and the lettuce wasn't as fresh as I'd hoped and the chicken was a bit dry. They had free cucumber water though, which was refreshing on a hot summer day! I wouldn't have asked for bread but the ordering system prompted me to select whether I would want it or not, so I said yes. Why ask me the question if you aren't going to follow through? This type of establishment is what I've been longing for. There was a great salad spot in Westfield a few years ago and they have closed. After that, I couldn't find an eatery that made really good salads. Now I have here in New Providence. When I walked in, it was so clean and I really liked that they had a beverage dispenser filled with water and lemon. When I walked up to the section where you'd place your order, I was greeted. The menu above displayed a variety of salads and you can sample proteins/toppings. I wasn't sure what to get. The manager/owner was quite friendly, funny and helpful. I decided to get the Chicken Tinga with the Mexican Goddess dressing. It was so good and filling! I'll come back to try other available salads. Been here a few times actually. My boyfriend got warm bowls both times- the Mediterranean and the Southwest Hatch Chile Pork. They were good. I got the Asian Crunch salad and a Cobb Salad I believe. I like how they "chop" the ingredients for you and mix the dressing all around them. It's much better than getting a salad at most places where you have to mix it all together yourself and end up spilling half of it off of the plate. The containers they place the salad in are cute too. The salads were okay, but nothing to talk about really. Overall, stopping for lunch here can be pretty expensive for a couple of salads. Took out the shrimp because they were rotten and soaked in Clorox bleach. I was looking for healthy take out and I feel like I was being poisoned. I sheer amount of bleach used on those shrimp made the whole wrap gross. The soup was tiny and bland. I will never eat there again.
