The store was very busy when I went in but Danika and Mani held the store down. They were very nice and apologetic that there was a wait. They got the line controlled a quickly as possible. I generally like Chopt, but this location is awful. The first time, they left out one of my choppings, gave me the wrong protein, and no bread. The second time, they gave me absolutely NO dressing. What kind of salad place leaves out the dressing? I drove all the way home before I noticed and had to choke down a dry salad. We won't be returning. read more

Chopt has awesome salad bowls and wraps with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The Chinese Chicken Wonton Bowl was a standout with its tasty mix of chicken, wontons and veggies in an addictive sauce. I also really enjoyed the Mexican Caesar Wrap packed with romaine, chicken, black bean salsa and creamy dressing all rolled up. Lots of healthy but craveable options on the menu. This was pretty good though I must confess it's not some thing I would rush out and order again. I thought the salad was generally pretty well assembled and presented but I barely noticed most of the ingredients that I ordered with the salad nor did I notice the dressing that was supposedly mixed in with the salad before delivery. My wife and I arrived at the Kentlands Gaithersburg Chopt approximately five minutes before closing and, out of courtesy, we asked an employee if you were still open. We were assured that you were. However, once we stepped up to the counter, the employee there refused to acknowledge us at all. We stood waiting for several minutes without any greeting or explanation, despite clearly being ready to order. Eventually, we left out of frustration. I understand from personal experience working in restaurants that the period right before closing can be challenging, with staff balancing customer service and end-of-day responsibilities. That said, it's important that customers receive clear and consistent communication. If the restaurant is no longer able to serve new orders close to closing time, it would be far better to communicate that upfront rather than telling customers you're open and then ignoring them. This experience left us disappointed and unlikely to return. read more

This is newly opened location. I have not had any human interactions since I ordered it through the Chopt app and it is on the shelves already when I arrives. They also offer curbside pickup. My experience with ordering through the app is mostly good but it does freeze when I try to customize my salad sometimes. A little frustrating but doesn't stop me from ordering. Each time I have ordered 2 salads/or warm bowls-one for dinner and one for lunch. I get dressing on the side so the salad is perfectly fresh still the next day. They definitely packed those salad in- portion is more than enough for a meal. I don't think that I have a favorite. It definitely satisfying my salad craving. I am a repeat customer. read more

Prior to the pandemic I would visit Kentlands often for lunch, post pandemic not so much. During my recent lunch visit, I was pleasantly surprised to see so many new additions to the area. The exterior and interior are clean and not over done. It's extremely bright and the salad fixings are all appropriately sheltered from individuals who like to reach over counters IYKYK. Because it had been so long since I visited a Chopt I forgot there are many suggested salads if I didn't want to make your own combo. I opted for a suggested option with the addition of the buffalo style chicken. I was told there is no buffalo style chicken but rather buffalo sauce that can be added to your chicken. Perfect, at least I thought. The buffalo sauce was chopped nicely into my salad but not as much as my heat seeking palate wanted. Of course I'll be back, warmer weather is upon us and eating healthy is my goal. read more

I love how well the food and service was. Never thought I would see another Chopt Gaithersburg after the location near Downtown Crown closed but I'm glad that they do have one. I've visited for at least 1 year. I feel relaxed going in there alone due to its cleanliness and well arranged setting. I'm so recommending this place. First time ordering from this place, and I'm disappointed. I've seen my coworkers order from here and the salads looked amazing, so I finally decided to try it, and this is what I get. I ordered a Cobb salad with chicken, avocado and egg. I got a bowl of wet lettuce with maybe two pieces of chicken, and a small chunk of avocado. That's it. Nothing else. Went here to get lunch after some grocery shopping. The lay out is okay, if it gets busy (which it was) the line wraps around half the establishment so if you're seated at one of the tables on the side of the restaurant, you're eating right next to people who are just waiting in line. The Male Bathroom was not well kept up with, does say on the door to let staff know if it's not clean so I did let someone know! The staff was great with helping me with the menu since it was my first time eating there! The salad was good for the most part!! The choice of drinks from what I had was mostly Teas and Lemonades! I went again this week, it will be my last. First they discontinued my favorite dressing, the tex mex ranch. I'm sure this is a corporate decision but was pretty much the only reason I'd get my salad there. Also, the toppings are so skimpy. If I'm paying more for chicken, it should be more then 5 small chunks. How about at least a breast worth? Last I was not offered bread either. Last time for me unfortunately. This location has the worst customer service. We have been twice and both times there was a line of customers waiting to be helped while one employee is helping and three others are doing absolutely nothing. Love the location in Kentlands, plenty of parking, and easy to get to. Store inside was bright and comforting. Containers and utensils seem to be compostable or recyclable, so big plus. For food, I was disappointed twice unfortunately. The first time I ordered delivery and it took really long to make. And when I got it, I was missing the avocado it that I had ordered, which was huge bummer. It was palm beach, and not only was it missing the avocado, there was only a small amount of palm hearts! It was a lot, but ended up feeling like just all lettuce. I did get it with shrimp, and there were a good amount of small shrimps, so thankful for that. The second time, I went in store and it was less busy. The staff was friendly and chatty, and I got the omsom lemongrass chicken salad, but it certainly did not look like the image and some of the ingredients seemed scarce. The lemongrass chicken didn't taste very different from regular chicken (maybe the flavor was diluted with everything else?), I barely saw any pickled carrots and daikon (was super looking forward to this), and the chili coriander vinaigrette didn't really come through. I did ask for medium amount of dressing, but I was expecting more chili or kick to the vinaigrette. Overall wasn't a huge fan, but I did feel healthy eating all those greens! read more

I love this place! I really enjoy the new space and all the windows. The food is always fresh which means sometimes I cannot get the toppings I am used to. That is OK - you know what they offer is the best for the season. I always make my own so I cannot speak to their salad creations. My Mom and I were so excited they had finally opened a location near us. So yesterday we decided to get dinner from there. We both ordered the Mexican Caesar salad and added shrimp to them. The salads were inedible. The shrimp tasted like dish water. LITERALLY tasted like the shrimp had been soaked in water with dirty washcloths. We both couldn't eat more than one bite. I love Chopt. I was so happy to see it opened in Gaithersburg. The location and dining area are fabulous. The Chopt team was friendly and amazing. I normally eat the Mexican Ceasar. Customer service responded sorry I did not like their choice. It sounds as though it was the choices but it is what they advertise and the perception referencing California and local merchants. 95% lettuce all you get that would be okay if the meat had any flavor. Customers don't mind small servings must flavor MUST be there. For the size of bowel of the salad even with the dressing, nothing spectacular. Corporate needs to rethink their menu overall the ratings comments are not favorable. read more

The second time i ordered, i asked for the dressing to come on the side (against better judgment after the first incident) and ended up with NO DRESSING just dry kale and grains. Solid 3.5, but going with a 3 for now. This place is not as good as the chopt in Rockville -- they're always out of ingredients, even at normal hours -- and they're slow. But we love their salads and eat here a few times a week. So outside of being slow and out of the basics, pretty decent. read more
