    Going to lunch with friends....

Great lunch with friends. We came for a delicious lunch. The group at the table next to us were a lovely bunch... a real fun bunch of ladies who were a riot and chatting us up and were very curious to see what we all ordered. Our group had some hot tea, noodles, and a wonderful pupuplatter... and some other select vegetable dishes. Great place for lunch... pleasant ambiance and courteous staff.

Being a New Yorker Chinese food is the go to confront food. Visiting Vermont taking a stop in North Adams for some food passed chopsticks and had to give it a try. Upon entering I enjoyed the atmosphere right away and the decor was nice. Wasn't what I was used to in New York this place was in the upscale appearance wise. The prices were reasonable. The service was good. We were seated pretty quickly and the food didn't take long to come out at all. For an appetizer we got the scallion pancake which I thought was going to be a small serving but it fed everyone at the table 3 ppl. My grandpa in law got the lo mein , my girlfriend got the chicken with broccoli and I got PFR with sesame chicken. Everything was fantastic. I would highly recommend. Would have got a 5/5 but it was Insanely cold and there was only one portable heater that was not going anything

It is always a pleasant surprise when you are out and about on the weekend and stop for lunch in an out-of-the-way part of the state and you find a place like Chopsticks. From the Wonton Soup to the fried rice and the the Spicy Szechuan Pork dish everything was as good as one would hope for and more. An additional bonus was the price at $6.95 which was scarcely believable for the quantity and quality. Service was perfect, the kitchen was fast and efficient. If you find yourself in that corner of the state and it's time to eat this would be a very pleasant stop, I certainly found it so.

Two issues with this place. They are closed on Tuesdays and they don't offer a lot of drink options besides soda. Try offering some juice.

Everything is made fresh to order from the thick, hand-pulled noodles, dumplings, and scallion pancakes. Ordering is quick and casual. You place your order at the back right counter when you walk in (for dine-in or takeout), and the cashier also acts as your server. If you order a noodle soup, they'll ask if you want green onions and/or cilantro. After that, just grab any open table and relax. We ordered a variety of dishes. Appetizers: Scallion pancakes: (3/5) nice crispy pancakes with scallions. Dumplings with pork and leeks: (3/5) tender dumplings filled with pork and some leeks Spicy stewed beef noodle soup: (4/5) thick hand pulled noodles in a savory broth topped with vegetables like bok choy and mushroom and some tender beef Hot and sour vermicelli soup: (4/5) very tangy savory broth with tender vermicelli noodle and ground pork. Medium spicy level Biang Biang noodles with pork: (4/5) their signature hand-pulled noodles are sautéed in a medium spicy sauce with pork. Overall this place hits the spot for an authentic Chinese meal without the glitz and glamour.

This is something I will no longer do. For about the last year and a half or so, IMHO, the restaurant has continually gone downhill. Where in years past the staff always made the customer feel very welcome, that feeling of being welcomed seems to have evaporated. I'm under the impression now, based on the last three visits, that the front woman running things just wants your order and then be done with it. She's not the same person from a few years ago. Last night I ordered what is called the "Seafood Wor Bar". The only items in the order that tasted anywhere like they should were the shrimp, and maybe the scallops, being on the small side, and not very plump at all; both tasted fairly well. The menu showed shrimp, scallops, crab and lobster. There was not one piece of lobster at all. And the crab was that fake crab you can buy in the grocery store made from a fish called the Pollock. Regarding the so-called crab, they were about the size of the first segment of one of your fingers_ maybe an inch long and about half an inch wide. For me the most epic thing regarding this so-called crab meat was the lack of taste; nothing like crab at all and very bland. Even the texture was way off. When chewing all I got was a mushiness. I never like thinking what I'm about to text, but I have to be honest here. Until they get the buffet up and running again, because right now it's menu only, there's no way I could recommend to anyone going to this restaurant. Also, as the name of the restaurant is still shown on the sign as "Oriental Buffet, All You Can Eat", I feel they should change the name of the restaurant and get rid of the all you can eat part of it. Three or four visits back, I asked the woman if I could order more without it costing me more because of the name of the restaurant, and she looked at me like I was an alien, and when I explained to her that at the bottom of the name it still says all you can eat, she explained that's only with buffet. I used to really look forward to and enjoy going to this restaurant, but not anymore. I doubt if I'll go until things get back to what I consider the old normal.

It was 9pm and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The staff were courteous and attentive and our waitress was very sweet. We didn't have to wait too long for our food and it was delicious. The sesame chicken was beautifully plated, complete with an edible orchid. The kung pao chicken and pepper steak came as you would expect so my husband and I teased the waitress about why we didn't get special plates with edible flowers. She was cute. The food was delicious and the portions just the right size. My husband asked for his king pao extra spicy and it definitely was not- but it's ok cause then we didn't mind sharing with him. I had the pepper steak and it was tender and flavorful. Everything was really good. If we lived nearby, we'd make it our go-to Panasian spot!
