First of all the place looks like a bomb hit it. It is take out only because it appears like they are renovating except now I know this has been this way for years. The food is worse than shopping mall food court Chinese food. We ended up throwing most of it away. Flavorless, greasy. read more

The food was okay but I wasn't crazy about watching them Microwave it before bagging it up. Its under renovation and standing inside w the beautiful friendly fish that deserves a better living environment and seeing what kind of condition its in had me sorry I placed the order online. To top it off when we got home they forgot the beef sticks. I've gotten mixed reviews on people's experience here, but for me I feel like they've been very consistent with their taste, quality of food and quality of service. I am very happy with them as my go-to chinese. The dumplings are by far the best thing on the menu, and some of the best takeout dumplings I've ever had. Some of the other things on the menu, like the chicken and broccoli, doesnt sit well with everyone that comes through. We've heard the sushi is good, and they even serve cocktails if you sit down in their restaurant. I have had them mix up an order if it's particularly large on more than one occasion. read more

Great lunch with friends. We came for a delicious lunch. The group at the table next to us were a lovely bunch... a real fun bunch of ladies who were a riot and chatting us up and were very curious to see what we all ordered. Really good takeout. We went on a recommendation from the hotel we were staying at close by. Nice portions, menu variety. We liked everything, had the Dragon and Phoenix. Quickly prepared. The restaurant looks nice on the inside as well. Would definately order again when in the area. Much better than college chow. read more

what happened to the food at this restaurant? We ordered 75.00 worth of food recently and most of it went into the trash. The chicken was so dry my son choked on it! none of the noodle or rice dishes had any flavor everything was just bland and dry. We use to love their food, not anymore. read more

Being a New Yorker Chinese food is the go to confront food. Visiting Vermont taking a stop in North Adams for some food passed chopsticks and had to give it a try. Upon entering I enjoyed the atmosphere right away and the decor was nice. Wasn't what I was used to in New York this place was in the upscale appearance wise. The prices were reasonable. The service was good. We were seated pretty quickly and the food didn't take long to come out at all. For an appetizer we got the scallion pancake which I thought was going to be a small serving but it fed everyone at the table 3 ppl. My grandpa in law got the lo mein , my girlfriend got the chicken with broccoli and I got PFR with sesame chicken. Everything was fantastic. I would highly recommend. It is always a pleasant surprise when you are out and about on the weekend and stop for lunch in an out-of-the-way part of the state and you find a place like Chopsticks. From the Wonton Soup to the fried rice and the the Spicy Szechuan Pork dish everything was as good as one would hope for and more. An additional bonus was the price at $6.95 which was scarcely believable for the quantity and quality. Service was perfect, the kitchen was fast and efficient. If you find yourself in that corner of the state and it's time to eat this would be a very pleasant stop, I certainly found it so. read more

We came here during pandemic so it was take out service only. It was better quantity and quality than we expected in a small town Chinese restaurant. We ordered mango duck and it was nice big slices of duck at a reasonable price. We ordered her 3 times and they got the food ready rather quickly. read more

Where do I begin.... One word: Ants. So many ants. Hordes of ants. Every ant that there ever was and ever will be. If the number of ants determined how good a restaurant was, this place would have 3 Michelin stars. Is this restaurant also the place you order ants for your ant farm from? Are they running a side business hustling ants? Is this some sort of delicacy I don't know about? Also the service sucked, the fish was warm, and it was just downright unpleasant. Ordered the sushi/sashimi combo to go, brought it home, ate half of one piece of the sushi and spit it out. It had a very foul taste. My son then took a bite from another piece and felt the same way. For the middle of no where Massachusetts and such a large menu I'm pretty impressed with Chopsticks. The sushi is decent but for this area it's doable. I would recommend some of the more traditional chinese dishes or plain sushi though - the exotic rolls left much to be desired. My only complaint is the service. For a sit down and lengthy meal this isn't the place to go. There are too many servers and they bug you constantly, no matter how friendly you are asking for them to go away. When I was in college this was a staple restaurant. My house mates and I used to get food from there once a week. They renovated the place in 2001 and we would joke that the booth they always sat us in was actually paid for by all of our visits. We try to all go up once a year to meet up at Chopsticks and talk about how old we're getting. I go to upstate NY quite a bit for work and I take Route 2 home specifically to stop at Chopsticks. I'm always impressed that they remember my name whenever I go in. If you're in the area definitely stop in. You won't be disappointed no matter what you order. They take pride in their work, it is very affordable (how else would college kids be able to eat there weekly) but if it wasn't I would have taken out another student loan just to pay for my Chopsticks habit, it is very clean, and everything on the menu is FANTASTIC (I have tried everything but dishes with peanuts in them). Don't be nervous going while college is in session either, they keep the kids under control even with a big menu of drinks available! So, just go already :) read more

After getting out of the Beth Orton concert at Mass MOCA, my friend and I were in need of some good grub, but the only thing that appeared to be open was Friendly's. And then we saw a few cars still in the parking lot at Chopsticks. Score! It was after 10PM, but we still were seated, and even saw another table seated after us. Not only does Chopsticks serve darn good Chinese, but several other Asian cuisines make appearances on the menu. I almost ordered the Korean be bim bop, but then decided to go with something a little safer. The egg drop soup was a little on the salty side, but the vegetable dumplings saved the day. They were delish -- plump and thick-skinned like a dumpling should be, and served with tangy dipping sauce to add a little kick. Washed down with a Blue Hawaii, the meal was quite satisfying. Only part I wasn't too thrilled with was the noodles, which were way far too flat and not at all crispy enough. My friend at first was hesitant to order the Dragon and Phoenix due to the price (more than $15), but the amount of chicken and shrimp on the plate was enough to feed two people, plus the presentation of the sculpted "phoenix" apples let us know the care put into the dish. read more

I hate that my maiden Yelp review is going to be a really, really rotten one. Had lunch at Chopsticks today - the service was so terrible (read: nonexistent) that we actually had to leave before ordering anything. We were the *only* people in the entire restaurant, and 15 solid minutes went by and we hadn't even been asked if we wanted drinks. In fact, the entire wait staff completely disappeared after we were seated and didn't reappear until we were walking out the door. I've eaten at this restaurant before, and I remember the food to be fair (but certainly not great, or even good). But we knew it was affordable for lunch and we just kind of wanted some noodles and cocktails. Unfortunately I can't really comment on the food today, since I didn't eat any. The only thing I dislike at chopsticks is their BiBimBap, but they're not expected to be good at that. They serve and DELIVER Good Sushi for hungry college students! I really wanted to like this establishment but the delivery service really sucks. The food is mediocre but the service is appalling. The delivery service takes around 30-45 minutes (as told by the waiters) but in reality on some occasions up to 1hr and 30 minutes. The establishment really should tell people ahead of time if this is going to be the case. It's rude and incompetent of them to do so. I guess this is just another prime example on how these restaurants (such as Sushi Thai and Hops and Vines) have adopted this complacent attitude due to the lack of competition in Williamstown. read more

An extremely dissapointing restaurant!! Our soups came out fast, but it then took about 40 minutes to get the 3 rolls that we ordered and there were only 2 other tables of people in the restaurant at the time! The waitresses were all conversing with one another and not paying too much attention to their customers. We got so fed up that we asked for it to go and when we got home we were disappointed again with how tiny the sushi rolls were and barely filled with fish. Our meal tonight was expeditionary- we dove into the far corners of this vast menu to choose two unexpected and delicious dishes. The bi bim bap and the mango chicken (made spicy). I was skeptical that the bi bim bap would receive the culinary attention it deserves on such a wide ranging menu, but was surprised and delighted by its flavor. The mango chicken was particularly good with a savory slightly sweet sauce, a hearty heaping of vegetables, and thin slices of mango on top. There is a vast selection of cocktails here all for under $5. You can even order a bucket of booze with two straws. read more

Chopsticks had become a tradition for me whilst attending the annual Berkshire Geobash in Pittsfield. After my first camping trip in Hancock back in 2012, I was looking for a decent Chinese restaurant in the area. Chopsticks was the first place I tried and was immediately hooked. Over the seven years in the area I tried a few different places, however I always found myself coming back to Chopsticks. The customer service was always fast and friendly, and portions were always decently sized and flavorful. The selection is almost overwhelming for such a small place. Although the Geobash has come to an end, if I'm ever in the Berkshires again, Chopsticks will be my first stop. read more

The long version: placing an order with them is sometimes a chore, and the recent switch to cash-only transactions have tempered my cravings for this place somewhat. The delivery also takes ages (it's almost never the 45 minutes they tell you over the phone). However, having explored their menu quite a bit, almost everything I have ever ordered from them, I have liked. Some top picks: the pu pu platter, the orange chicken (always a stay-in-and-eat-my-feelings-away favorite), the hot and sour soup, bul go ki, the szechuan spicy fried rice, and the duck dishes. The sushi is a little stale, but it gets the job done (and is cheap to boot).
