Chopstickers

Oooh loved this spot for bao and buns. The prices were so reasonable for the amount of food we got, and everything tasted delicious and freshly made. It's more of a grab and go spot, so while some other restaurants may have more of a vibe, this one had the quantity of food our full day of walking required. We got the pork belly buns, pork water fried bao, beef potstickers and the dan dan noodles. The pork belly buns and beef potstickers were demolished. The pork bao was also really good - the potstickers were just slightly tastier. The dan dan noodles were ok - not my favorite and I think this place shines with the bao so go for that. Service was pretty quick for how slammed they were - and our order was perfect. read more

Everything was on the salty side except the beef noodle soup. (Maybe salty in our standard?). Service was a chaos when large groups of people came at same time. The owner was kind and apologized to us. I can tell he will make efforts to improve. We also mentioned to him the top dough of soup dumplings was somewhat undercooked.. That dish was a disappointment. read more

Ordered: Vegan water fried baos Good: -Vegan san jian baos? Omg yes pls!!!! The filling seemed like shiitake, wood ear, bean thread, carrots and some other goodies. Five spice flavor and shiitake really came through. Bao was pretty crispy on the bottom but could be crispier. The server who delivered my order gave me a head's up that they were really busy for the lunch run and said if I was unhappy with the baos then she'd be happy to make me another order. I appreciated this and thought the fry on the baos was pretty good, good enough to not be disappointed. Kind server came back to check on me while I was eating to to make sure I was content. - service from cashier and server was fast and friendly Improvements: - restaurant was really warm, especially by the kitchen. - reusable water cups ran out and weren't replenished, so diners ended up using disposable plastic cups :( - could have used one more worker to bus tables more promptly during lunch rush read more

Fast, reasonable, tasty, etc - this was a good choice for us recently when we were in Denver for a show. Quick, but efficient and delicious. I visited here twice in a 6 day span. By myself and then to bring my husband to try. The Dandan noodles were a new thing for me, but they were so good. I ordered them both visits. The soup dumplings were delicious. Very large and filled with a great amount of broth. Potstickers good too. But soup dumplings win. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for ages and we were going to the convention center so perfect time! We got the beef noodle soup without vegetables for the picky kid and he loved the noodles. The water bao were different than I expected but I really liked them, the bottom is crispy but then the rest is soft. The restaurant has a typical downtown refurbished vibe. The servers were nice. Found some soup dumplings in Denver!! Dim sum is one of my favorite foods ever. Chopstickers has pretty good ones but only one option. Either way, I got my fix. You order at the counter and take a number. Pretty good amount of seating but it does bring in quite the crowd so if you have to wait, I'd say it's worth it. We had several different items but the best were the dumplings. Somewhere to try if making your way around the Asian food places in this part of Denver but not the absolute best we had. Still took care of cravings so 4 stars for that! read more

I was pretty impressed that their soup dumplings (xiao long bao) actually had a decent amount of soup in them! Also the size of the dumplings were large which was a pleasant surprise. The beef noodle soup broth is mid but the meat was melty and noodles had a nice chew. Overall I'd go back just maybe only for the soup dumplings. Also their chili oil was not very spicy at all which was disappointing. It would also be cool if they had a spicy dumpling on the menu. read more

I have some serious concerns about the food handling I saw in the kitchen. Taking tongs that you used on food and banging it against a filthy garbage can and then putting the tongs back in the food you're serving your customers is straight up nasty. This restaurant should be cited and fined by the health department. Disgusting! The pork pot stickers were horrid! With these huge pieces of pork in the middle of the dumpling that taste like breakfast sausage. Too lazy to ground up the pork. And got the nerve to charge people $10.95 plus tax for this mess. The only saving grace and the reason for me not going hungry after spending over $20 was the ground pork over rice. I should have walked myself across the street to Chipotle. I will never eat here again! read more

Would have given five stars except the bottom of the dumplings were almost burned. We give them a pass on the burnt bottoms as they were cooked while we waited and when we got home there were eleven (11) dumplings even though the order was for ten. Order at the counter. They will bring the food to you. Food was great! We got a pretty wide assortment: Dan Dan noodle - the noodle texture was chewy and not too soft. Slightly spicy. Sauce was tasty. Not sure about the American pickle being inside the dish though. Soup dumplings - up to par. Skin didn't break easily so could really savor the tasty soup. Flavor was on point. Water fried pork bao - it's shengjianbao. Very good! Loved the texture of the crunchy pan fried bottoms. Water fried shrimp and chives bao - this is like jiou tsai huh zi, very different from the pork baos. Service was fantastic. read more

Stopped here while visiting out of town in hopes of finding some good dumplings. I got an order of the soup dumplings and water fried pork bao. The soup dumplings were very good. The bao was good too. I've never had water fried before and it added some texture to the bao. I don't think I'll order the fried again, I like the traditional bao. But it was still very yummy. Parking was easy and plentiful, and the service was quick and efficient. Overall, a great spot for a satisfying Vietnamese meal, especially when you're grabbing takeout. Definitely would come back!

All 8 servers are at the front podium talking like high schoolers, barely greet you, sit you down, take your order and once they bring you your food that's the last you see of em; and then they ask for a tip lol. I will say I sat next to a Vietnamese girl (I'm half Vietnamese btw just doesn't show THAT much) and they stopped next to me to check on her twice lol; looked at me and kept walking. After I was going to walk out one of the workers turned the corner and we where walking towards each other, and played a game of chicken basically, he didn't even bother trying to move so I didn't either at this point I was already annoyed and we almost ran into each other. Also! This USED to be one of the best pho places, The noodles were kinda chewy and the broth was absolutely flavorless. They did give a good amount of meat though.

Reservations are strongly suggested and well worth the wait. Crazy combinations, flavor bombs throughout and a culinary delight you won't regret. Tonight, we sat at the bar and watched the magic happen. These guys are cranking out amazing and delectable treats you won't forget. The Uncle salad was a great starter with charred cabbage, lemongrass, mint, cilantro, arugula, and peanuts lightly coated in a Thai coconut dressing. A slight burn only leaving you to crave just one more bite, ha! The fried soft shell crab in a bao bun with green papayo slaw, coconut mayo and cilantro nam prik was sweet, perfect crunch and memorable. Two for two with one dish left. The cold spicy sesame noodles with seasoned chicken, granny Smith apple slivers, arugula, cashews and nanami togorashi, a perfect closing dish for an exceptional meal. The service, food quality, flavors and preformance from the bar seats were second to none. The concept, portion size, flavor and cost were a real treat in the big city food scene of Denver. We can tell how hard the owner and their employees doing to maintain the food quantity and atmosphere nice and clean. Well done Chopstickers! We can tell their soup dumplings are truly hand-made and really tasty! The funny part is that the owner told us they used the beef tendon for beef noodle soup and that's the authentic traditional way. But he told us it didn't work well. Then they chose to switch to another beef part, which is similar to beef steak. It worked well! That's how I know, they do care and learn, they really want to provide the best food to customers, as a customer, we appreciate that! read more

Chopstickers was a great find for my first day in Denver! It's an easy-to-get-to spot that might seem like a takeout place at first, but you can definitely sit and enjoy your meal there. I had the pan-fried beef dumplings, and they were absolutely delicious--crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. The dan dan noodles were another highlight--rich, savory, and super filling. The portions are generous, and every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, I had a really nice experience, and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone craving some solid dumplings and noodles in Denver! read more

Chopstickers absolutely nailed it! The pork pot stickers were exceptional--perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy, flavorful pork inside, and seasoned to perfection. Easily some of the best I've ever had. The dipping sauce paired beautifully and elevated every bite. Service was quick and friendly, and the whole spot had a warm, welcoming vibe. Such a nice chinese spot in the area. We were seated right away when we arrived. Menu is small but their dumplings are so good and enough for us to be satisfied. I first checked it out for lunch one day on my own, which sadly inhibited my ordering some, but I can report that they do have reasonably priced (more standard dish) lunch specials, and beyond that, do whatever you must to justify that Hong Kong French Toast with peanut butter (yum!). The service that visit was attentive and helpful. My second visit, I came prepare with an equally adventurous friend, and we ordered five entrees (Sizzling Eggplant, Cumin Lamb, Salted Fish Fried Rice, Soy Sauce Stir Fied Egg Noodle with Shrimp, and Mapo Tofu), and some dumplings as well. As we have been inundated with dumpling offerings around these parts lately, I didn't find these ones to be all that special. The other dishes were good, but on the whole they lacked some of the depth of flavor and spice level that I'm used to getting. I'm not sure if the 'Hong Kong' emphasis imparts this nuance in a way that I may not appreciate, but it was particularly apparent with the Mapo Tofu and Sizzling Eggplant for example, which didn't hit as hard as some Sichuan counterparts I've had. The restaurant interior is done in a colorful, clean and casual aesthetic, that fits in with the neighborhood generally. I do think this may be more of a takeout type place than an eat in destination, and I sort of discovered that the hard way. After my friend and I placed our aforementioned order of six items, we were asked in very short order whether we wanted boxes. I didn't understand the offer, as we had only just received the food. Our server quickly stopped by our table again, and it felt rather pushy. It was then that we were told that they closed at 8pm (and they wanted us out by that time). Admittedly, I wish we had been told that prior to placing the order, as there was no reasonable way we could've eaten the food that quickly, and then we could've at least had an organized takeout order packaged. Instead we were left with some containers and began a panicked, self-directed scramble to box it all up. After which our server also told us she couldn't offer us a bag to carry it all in. (Another server who assisted me on my first visit managed to find a bag for us after all.) On the whole, I would give my experiences at Hong Kong Station III more of a 3.5 star rating. I remain open to trying it again, but would handle a few things differently all things considered.
