Stale, not-so-crispy noodles for the soup and wonton soup with a funky filling in the dumplings. Would NOT reorder.
    Alexandra S.

After reading some of the reviews, I was hopeful that the food here would be better than most of the mediocre to bad Chinese restaurants in the area. (By the way, Tely's on N. Wickham is the best.) I thought I would get 2 different combo plates in hopes that I would at least like one of them. So, I ordered a small size wonton soup and the C4 bone in spare ribs combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll and the C14 shrimp with garlic sauce combo with vegetable fried rice and a spring roll instead of the egg roll that comes with it, for a .50 up charge. On the menu it denotes that C14 is spicy/hot, so I asked for it to be medium. And I asked for scallions to be added to the fried rice which, I think should be in any good fried rice dish, as well as some sesame oil and soy sauce or Bragg liquid aminos, which taste similar to soy sauce. The broth part of the wonton soup isn't bad, but the meat part of the dumpling has a nasty inedible flavor and the crispy fried noodles that come with the wonton soup, that you normally crunch up into the broth, were stale!...so I would not order this again. The egg roll filling consist of mushy cabbage and pork that's not very good; and the packaged duck sauce and Chinese mustard are horrible, making it worse; but they didn't have fresh house-made sauces. The spring roll wasn't much better. They both taste as if they were previously frozen and are perhaps commercially manufactured. The shrimp with garlic sauce dish does have large size shrimp and lots of vegetables that aren't overcooked, but the sauce doesn't taste at all like garlic, is too sweet and it was too mild in heat; so I wouldn't order this dish again either. The vegetable fried rice was lacking in vegetables, egg, scallions, soy sauce and sesame oil. The ribs have a nice 5 spice flavor, but were overcooked with no juiciness inside. And one of the ribs was so overcooked that it was actually crunchy and should have never been served; below is a pic of it. The pork fried rice is lacking in pork pieces, egg, scallion, soy sauce and sesame oil. They do put white onion in the fried rice though. But even after I added some Bragg's liquid aminos, coconut aminos and sesame oil, it was just ok, not good enough to ever crave it, which is how it should be. So, even though I ate much of this; overall, I was disappointed. I'm not sure if I would try a couple more dishes or just drive north to go to the Crystal buffet or even further north to go to Tely's, where you pay more, but get better quality gourmet dishes. Part of why I was hoping that Chopstick House would be good, was because they stay open until 10 pm and most other good restaurants close by 8:30 for orders, and I'm a late night person. Melbourne needs more high quality late night and authentic ethnic restaurants like Orlando has.

Shrimp fried rice / yummy taste ! Way better than most Chihese places near by

They have the best Fried rice in town and the price is still reasonable since the economy is worse these days . Usually they have different sizes of the most dishes. Pint or quarter which is small or large sizes so the price is different too .

BBQ Spare Rib's with Egg Roll and Pork Fried Rice

These definitely are crazy times, and I find it quite interesting to see how these local restaurants have adopted, subtle changes to keep their business going. My dad suggested chopstick house on a Tuesday afternoon after coming home from the eye doctor, and I was so disappointed when I found out that they were closed on Tuesdays. I did go back a couple days later to see what my dad was talking about when he said that he really liked the food there. I ordered the spareribs with fried rice, basically a combination platter. I got home and oh my goodness it was so good. The rice was fantastic, and the ribs were delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the eggroll, but just like everywhere else you have to experiment, and find out what you like. I did return a week later and this time got the boneless ribs and it was OK, a little too sweet for my liking and this time I got the egg drop soup which was delicious. I was quite pleased with the serving size, I was able to get three dinners out of the combination plate. This restaurant has a really nice sign out front, it's simply a takeout establishment. The first time I went there they had everything set up at the front door so you couldn't really go inside, paying for your food at the door, the second time I went there, the register and food delivery was moved inside the room but that was OK too, I respect the fact that they are protecting themselves and people from what's going on out there in the world. There was adequate parking, and it survives in a plaza with a subway subs, Jamaican grocery store, Italian restaurant, and a natural food store. Next time I'm gonna try the Hunan pork.

    Who knows

Ordered Chicken Chow mein and some spring rolls from here. Received a bowl of slop and some halfway decent spring rolls. Tasteless and gross. Does this picture look appetizing at all? Never again

Thought I would try out a new (to me) Chinese takeout. Overall ok. Shrimp Lo Mein was good & portion size was plentiful. The crab rangoon filling was on the dry side (as if they'd been premade & sitting/staged for awhile) and the red dip sauce was flavorless. Fried dumplings, like another reviewer mentioned, dark (?) meat l (tasted like a pork/sausage mix to me). I would def order the shrimp Lo Mein again but would not recommend the crab rangoon or fried dumplings.

The soups and salads were great....hot when they should be and cold and crispy when they should be. My entree was so shocking I forgot to take a picture....I got Dragon and Phoenix (shrimp and scallops)... the four shrimp were not large and all dried out while the U10 (called out on menu) scallops were the size of a quarter at most. It was cold....mine was the low light. The pupu platter was enjoyed by who ordered it and the Crispy Prawn with Honey Glazed walnuts was a hit with the birthday girl. Merry me prawns were coconutty and hot too. THe seaseme chicken was hot and actually very good value. Protip do not order water....it tasted like a hose...very bad. Lemon could not help it. This isn't usually the case since kids meals typically go uncared for. The two adult meals we had were both great and veggies again were really good. Service: the waiter was super great. He took care of us so well and was really great with the kids. They have a robot food cart that brings the food to the table. The kids absolutely loved it. The waiter even brought the "kitty cart" out three times so our kids could each press the buttons and make it talk. Ambiance: it was quiet and cozy. We loved the aquariums too. We even met the owners who sat at the front door. They were super kind and really seemed to care about our experience as a family. We will be back for sure.

A quaint and minimally decorated spot, nestled into a un observing strip, this gem could easily be missed. After seeing their menu online, we threw on our clothes and drove as fast as we could have a feast ! And what a feast it was !!! Our server was very attentive and helpful with making multiple decisions and the bubble teas were fresh and sweet and delicious . (Looking forward to when they have all the flavors available) We started with a bowl of warm and hardy curry soup with delicate glass noodles and flavorful broth. We then shared an order of the Chashu pork bowl with marinated egg. It wasn't as crispy as I'm used to...even a little gelatinous, but boy did it have the most amazing flavor. As a texture person, it didn't slow me down one bit. We also got some crispy fried wings that were perfectly cooked and juicy inside, and crunchy fried scallion pancakes (one of our favorite street foods) Then came the soup dumplings. The best I've actually had anywhere. Delicious broth with deep flavor, wrapped in a steamed wonton with tons of seafood meat inside. The pork and chive dumplings were crispy and soft all at the same time, bursting with juice and flavor. With such a large order, we had food to eat for days, but still have so many things left to try and cannot wait until our next visit!

1270 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne…read more Absolute disgrace. Avoid this establishment. My 93.5-year-old mother--a low-income widow of a deceased wounded warrior--spent a massive portion of her limited monthly budget to treat herself to an $88.89 Uber Eats order from Lucky Garden (1270 N Wickham Rd). What arrived at 2:36 PM was completely inedible and a total health hazard. Every single item was microwave-searing hot, not fresh pan-hot. The Bourbon Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken were severely over-microwaved to the point of being rock-hard. We literally could not cut through the meat with a sharp knife or kitchen scissors. The shrimp in the fried rice was exactly the same--completely rubberized, dried out, and unsafe to consume. When contacted, the restaurant refused to help or take accountability, claiming it is an Uber issue, while Uber claims they no longer credit for restaurant quality. Taking nearly $90 from a vulnerable 93-year-old senior for food that belongs in the garbage is shameful. Management needs to contact Uber Eats immediately, take responsibility for their abysmal kitchen quality, and authorize a full refund for this order. I called the restaurant and they said to have mom bring food in and they will remake it for her and because she can't drive the restaurant will not do anything about this order. Per Michael at the restaurant this is the restaurant policy. They will keep her money but will not help reimburse her and Uber Eats said they do not reimburse for food anymore.
