After reading some of the reviews, I was hopeful that the food here would be better than most of the mediocre to bad Chinese restaurants in the area. (By the way, Tely's on N. Wickham is the best.) I thought I would get 2 different combo plates in hopes that I would at least like one of them. So, I ordered a small size wonton soup and the C4 bone in spare ribs combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll and the C14 shrimp with garlic sauce combo with vegetable fried rice and a spring roll instead of the egg roll that comes with it, for a .50 up charge. On the menu it denotes that C14 is spicy/hot, so I asked for it to be medium. And I asked for scallions to be added to the fried rice which, I think should be in any good fried rice dish, as well as some sesame oil and soy sauce or Bragg liquid aminos, which taste similar to soy sauce. The broth part of the wonton soup isn't bad, but the meat part of the dumpling has a nasty inedible flavor and the crispy fried noodles that come with the wonton soup, that you normally crunch up into the broth, were stale!...so I would not order this again. The egg roll filling consist of mushy cabbage and pork that's not very good; and the packaged duck sauce and Chinese mustard are horrible, making it worse; but they didn't have fresh house-made sauces. The spring roll wasn't much better. They both taste as if they were previously frozen and are perhaps commercially manufactured. The shrimp with garlic sauce dish does have large size shrimp and lots of vegetables that aren't overcooked, but the sauce doesn't taste at all like garlic, is too sweet and it was too mild in heat; so I wouldn't order this dish again either. The vegetable fried rice was lacking in vegetables, egg, scallions, soy sauce and sesame oil. The ribs have a nice 5 spice flavor, but were overcooked with no juiciness inside. And one of the ribs was so overcooked that it was actually crunchy and should have never been served; below is a pic of it. The pork fried rice is lacking in pork pieces, egg, scallion, soy sauce and sesame oil. They do put white onion in the fried rice though. But even after I added some Bragg's liquid aminos, coconut aminos and sesame oil, it was just ok, not good enough to ever crave it, which is how it should be. So, even though I ate much of this; overall, I was disappointed. I'm not sure if I would try a couple more dishes or just drive north to go to the Crystal buffet or even further north to go to Tely's, where you pay more, but get better quality gourmet dishes. Part of why I was hoping that Chopstick House would be good, was because they stay open until 10 pm and most other good restaurants close by 8:30 for orders, and I'm a late night person. China Moon is my go to, but they are closed on Mondays so I placed a pick up order for Chopstick House. The 2 liter of Pepsi was completely flat when opened at home...sign that it's old. The vegetable fried rice and rangoon were mediocre. Husband did not enjoy his General Tso's. The egg roll tasted off, couldn't even finish it (normally, I enjoy 2) Manager "Sue" took my number to replace the 2 liter, but I won't be ordering again. We've been looking for a good take out/delivery Chinese restaurant. Never quite satisfied with the vendors we've tried until finding chopstick house. OMG! Absolutely delish! They do have a tendency to spice the spicy dishes on the hot side but are very accommodating in decreasing the level of heat. Their general tso chicken is the best I've ever tried and their garlic shrimp is awesome. The shrimp are huge, plentiful snd always cooked to perfection! My only regret is that we ate it all before taking pictures! This is now our go-to take out/delivery place. Highly recommend! read more

place is a hit or miss. it depends on who's cooking that day! if you're in a hurry and want some food right away, I guess this place would be OK. Once I ordered fried rice with chicken and I got very ill. I gave it another try and ordered just the wonton soup and that was good. it also depends on what you order. They have the best Fried rice in town and the price is still reasonable since the economy is worse these days . Usually they have different sizes of the most dishes. Pint or quarter which is small or large sizes so the price is different too . read more

These definitely are crazy times, and I find it quite interesting to see how these local restaurants have adopted, subtle changes to keep their business going. My dad suggested chopstick house on a Tuesday afternoon after coming home from the eye doctor, and I was so disappointed when I found out that they were closed on Tuesdays. I did go back a couple days later to see what my dad was talking about when he said that he really liked the food there. I ordered the spareribs with fried rice, basically a combination platter. I got home and oh my goodness it was so good. The rice was fantastic, and the ribs were delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the eggroll, but just like everywhere else you have to experiment, and find out what you like. I did return a week later and this time got the boneless ribs and it was OK, a little too sweet for my liking and this time I got the egg drop soup which was delicious. I was quite pleased with the serving size, I was able to get three dinners out of the combination plate. This restaurant has a really nice sign out front, it's simply a takeout establishment. The first time I went there they had everything set up at the front door so you couldn't really go inside, paying for your food at the door, the second time I went there, the register and food delivery was moved inside the room but that was OK too, I respect the fact that they are protecting themselves and people from what's going on out there in the world. There was adequate parking, and it survives in a plaza with a subway subs, Jamaican grocery store, Italian restaurant, and a natural food store. Next time I'm gonna try the Hunan pork. read more

Thought I would try out a new (to me) Chinese takeout. Overall ok. Shrimp Lo Mein was good & portion size was plentiful. The crab rangoon filling was on the dry side (as if they'd been premade & sitting/staged for awhile) and the red dip sauce was flavorless. Fried dumplings, like another reviewer mentioned, dark (?) meat l (tasted like a pork/sausage mix to me). Listen if you're from New England you know Chinese food is good, since we moved down to Florida in 2020 we have been on the hunt for good or even decent Chinese. Out of all the places in Brevard county and even up north, this place has the best and is the best. We got our order at 6:55pm and I am writing this now at 7:08, I had to put my fork down. They came earlier than it said online, everything is fresh and hot and actually tastes the same, nothing frozen. My ONLY complaint is online there's coupons and I selected a free soup and didn't get it, whatever I don't care I will just pay for it next time. On Sunday afternoon, Nov. 29, 2015 around 2:00 pm my spouse & I tried this Chinese fast food restaurant. We ordered two lunch entries; beef & broccoli w/ pork fried rice and shrimp lo mein. The beef had a flavor indicating that it was past its shelf life. The broccoli was completely overcooked and the entire meal was prepared with too much oil. In fact, The pork fried rice was soupy from the excessive amount of oil! This was the First meal I had ever had in a Chinese restaurant that was uneatible! I politely & respectively told the employee who took our order that the meal wasnt good. Instead of offering to replace it or refund our money he only debated the validity of our experience. What he didn't know was that meal was served to a chief who has over thirty years of experience cooking rice and beef dishes. read more

This places customer service is really great and they get your food out fairly quickly.......BUT........My wife and I have been eating here for about a year now. Over the past several months, the quality and taste of the food has just gotten worse. Three weeks ago, we ordered broccoli and chicken, and when we sat down to eat, noticed that it basically had no flavor. At that point, we looked at each other and decided we would no longer be ordering food from them as the taste of their food has just continuously declined. It's sad because it used to be really good and now it's almost like they boil the food and throw sauce on it and give it to you. But it gets better. After my wife and I finished our bland chicken and broccoli, we went to bed. Around 4 o'clock in the morning I woke up feeling like I had to vomit. By 6 o'clock I had vomited several times, and was now having to sit on the toilet while I vomited. That's when my wife woke up. Running to our sink and throwing up in it. On top of serving us bland chicken and broccoli they had given us food poisoning. I know I got food poisoning from their food because that's the only thing my wife and I had shared that entire day. Long story short, we ended up in the ER (severe dehydration, from all the vomiting and diarrhea) where they diagnosed us with salmonella poisoning. Two massive IV bags for both of us, eight hours in the hospital, and a round of antibiotics. I'm sure their food will improve after this review, but the amount of pain I went through from food poisoning has put me in a position where I'll never chance it with them again. read more

This place is horrible. They weren't open when they said they would be. I had to call 30 minutes after their posted starting time. They guy taking the order told me 20 minutes. Fairly typical Chinese joint, the food was good. Went for my standard shrimp and broccoli but also got to try the moo shu pork and wonton soup. I called and asked if they would make me steamed tofu with broccoli. The woman who answered the phone said "yes, steamed tofu". When I went to pick up my order I got tofu that was fried to within an inch of its life. It was so hard I could actually bang it on the counter. My family loved this Chinese place for years. They have reasonable prices and fairly good food. The other day when I ordered an egg roll from them, it had a large rubber band in it. No kidding. Yuck. After calling them, they informed me that their egg rolls are made elsewhere, they just fry then there. I don't care where they order the egg roll, it had a rubber band in it. Never going here again.
