Buying a car is a huge investment, so feeling like you got a good/fair deal is important to me. Ray and Shayan were very honest and they have a great staff. I purchased my 2018 Audi S4 from them, paid under carfax value, and Ray split the cost of 4 new tires for me (the tires passed inspection but would need to be changed before the next inspection). I shopped around for weeks and felt that I was offered a fair price for my trade in, and that the asking price for the S4 was fair. Ray even offered to service the car when I brought it in for tires, but I passed on the offer since the S4 was serviced only 300 miles ago. Great experience overall, I never felt pressured, there were no hidden fees, I love my new car and will go to choice first when shopping for my next car. There's a lot of unfair reviews here, mostly from people who didn't even buy a car, or can't drive well enough to navigate their small lot. Lots of people with unrealistic expectations when buying used luxury cars, ignore them and go see them for yourself. They even offered me and my wife a slice of pizza! Bad. Business. I called to schedule a time to check out a couple of trucks. I didn't end up liking them, but saw another vehicle I might be interested in. After a test drive, I was still skeptical of the price point so I told them I was all set. Dennis, the salesman, pressured me into leaving a hold on the car. I replied that I wasn't super interested and needed to do more research, as this wasn't the make and model of car I had originally set out to buy. He pressured me to put a $500 hold on the car- I said no, I don't care if you sell it. He went down to $100, so I gave in. He then charged me $200 for a hold without my consent. He also ran a credit check later that day without my consent. I compared the price for similar makes/models from comparable years and with similar mileage- their price was higher than other price points. I called the dealership back within 24 hours and asked them to refund my hold, citing cheaper cars as my reasoning. Two days later, Dennis called to inform me the refund wasn't going through and he'd need me to come in. I'm without transportation and not local, so I told him I'd be in on the weekend if that was okay. He said no problem. I returned and asked for my refund (as promised, several times). The salesman/maybe owner was extremely reluctant to give me my refund, saying that I was not within the 24 hour period stated on their sign. No one had mentioned this but I also did ask for a refund within the 24 hours. He then said I was being childish and disrespecting him but not purchasing the car that I didn't want to put a hold on in the first place. He said I was wasting his time and negatively impacting his business. It was a horrible experience. He was rude and condescending and belittled me. I wish I could give zero stars. I made an appointment to check out both a Honda S2000 and a Mazda Miata. First things first .... I've never seen so many cars parked in such a tiny lot so close together. I made the mistake of trying to pull into the driveway, quickly realized my compact fastback didn't fit and had to back up onto a very very busy highway. I then pulled into a residential neighborhood and parked roughly a block and a half away. The dealership had so many cars that they were spilling over onto the residential street ... and I couldn't help but think to myself that the neighbors must really hate this place. As I walked onto the parking lot, I immediately saw the Miata in the back, with the engine running but no one in sight. That's a red flag. You can learn a lot when you start a car cold and clearly they didn't want that to happen. Or they wanted someone to steal it. Must be a really safe neighborhood. Anyway... I walked in and someone went and found the sales guy. The Honda was parked out front. I climbed in and was struck by two things immediately. First, the rear view mirror is missing. Gone. I can see where it once was but not anymore. The fast talking stereotypical sales guy explains that they will put that back before delivery. Second, the shifter has no knob. Correction, it had one but it wasn't attached and didn't fit. The sales guy quickly explained that this isn't the original shifter - the original is in a safe place where it won't be stolen. They have a lot of issues with these being stolen. huh. I guess it's a good thing someone left that Miata running out back, unlocked, keys in the ignition. I started it up and began the test drive. Very very carefully and very very slowly. I had less than a foot on every side of the car as I maneuvered through the maze of other cars for sale. The test drive is uneventful so far. The sales guy never stops talking and the car never stops rattling. yuck. He had me do a u-turn at an intersection to get back to the dealership. This is when I learned that you should really check the treadwear on the tires before going for a test drive. The pavement was wet, but it wasn't raining. The back end of the car came swinging out as the tires had zero traction. Nothing. I might as well as have been on snow or ice. Years of northern New England driving suddenly came in handy as I stopped the car from a full spin. Naturally the sales guy promptly starts blaming me. I managed to squeeze the car through the parking lot again and the sales guy asked me to wait while he gets the keys for the Miata. The Miata that was running out back with the keys in it when I got there. One minute goes by... Two... Three... Four... I'll give him one more, maybe two... He comes back and tells me the Miata won't start. The Miata that was running when I came in ~30 minutes ago now won't start. It's a problem with the starter. Maybe that's why they left it running? I didn't run back to my car (I walked) but I suggest you run far far away from Choice Auto Center. read more

First off, I live in California. I was buying a car for my son. We started at Cars.com, and then I went to the dealer's website. We really liked the car we saw online and I called the dealer. I talked with a person named Cheyanne (probably not spelled correctly), and we talked about an "out the door" price, which he gave me. I then decided to have my son take an Uber out to the dealer to look at the car. He is a NEU student and needs a car. The Uber was a $65 trip, so we wanted to get the deal done! When I called back, Cheyanne was busy and I spoke with Antonio who told me there was no way the car could be taken off the lot today since I was from out of state, had to sign papers, send a certified check, and get the car checked thorough. I asked some questions that he could not answer and was given to Ray, who happens to be the owner. Ray assured me that he would do everything in his power to make the deal happen, but he would not guarantee it, having worked the business for many, many years. We toook a chance anyways. When my son arrived, he was treated very well and Ray took charge. This surprised me. The owner taking charge of a student purchase with a Dad in California??? Well, long story short, the deal was done and my son drove the car to Boston happily. Ray and his son (Cheyanne) even got our son insurance at a better rate than I could dealing with all those cheap online companies that you see commercials for. I could not be more impressed! The money transfer from my bank was a little slow and they even let my son take the car so he could get home before he was able to confirm the money arrived, after showing some correspondence from our bank, which indicated the money was enroute. I don't think any other dealer would let the car go without money in their pocket...especially when the money is coming from California from a person he did not know or even see! Ray is the man and he will always be my first choice to buy a car! My daughter is also going to attend school in Boston this fall. THANK YOU Ray for making this happen. It is not like we are rich or were buying an expensive car...just a first car for my son and you destroyed any stereotype of a "used car" dealer! We've dealt with Ray for the last week in purchasing a vehicle from his lot. He had a great selection of vehicles, well maintained and great carfaxes. He answered all our questions and concerns. Even during covid he made sure to make sure precautions were taken and a great sale was made. We purchased a beautiful well maintained vehicle from him with ease during these hard times. Update we've had the car two months since purchasing, put less than 500 miles on it. It's leaking from the sun roof, it keeps displaying take to shop system failure. we invested 10000 in this car, to have something that is in the shop every other week needing 500/600 dollars put in at a time. He fixed the two issues that were noticed in the 30 day period but not after being cocky about how the rear spring wasn't broke when we got it (he took it for inspection and it passed for him even with the windshield wipers zip tied on definitely knew someone) but I had put 39 miles on the car and the mechanic said it had been broken for a long time due to rust and such on the spring. He also complained that he had "took a hit" to replace the tires when he gave us a deal of 1000 off the price. The tires were so dry rotted and split the day after we got it one was flat and one was low. The brakes were COMPLETELY RUSTED and braking apart cause the car to lock up and when mentioned he told us it's an 08 I can't make it brand new, no you can't but your exact words to us while buying was it is my job to sell you a good car, they are just metal and have to be cared for but it's my job to sell you a good car. Went there on a friends recommendation, I learned it wasn't worth it just two months later. Make sure you take it to be inspected and know what you are looking for. Once we were brought into the office we were harassed about the price of the car, without even seeing the car in person yet. Then once we asked if we could see the car or test drive it they said it would take to long to get the car re sanitized. The numbers should at least stagger a bit here...lol. smh. However here is my unbriddled, review. Before & during receiving a formal education I worked in a few diffent car dealerships & types of industry related to, for a few years. My husband bought his car here. The sales, and finance went smoothly as expected with any dealership when one's credit allows for it. ("They have great relationships with banks that's why they can get financing for people with slow, poor, or not enough credit") lol no, they cast a few lines, and and a wait for a bite. That's actually how that works, but cute sales pitch. Smh. Lol seriously, that was a quote from the sales dept. I chuckled inside. But a corny sales pitch is not totally indicative of poor service. So for us it was treated as a pitchy turn of phrase, and we didn't read into it. The car, as others who I noticed also experienced; was not ready for post purchase pick up for over a week after the quoted date. Then once it was, there were menial problems. Stuff that EVERY DEALERSHIP or even many PRIVATE SALES has squared away before the car physically changes hands, or even put up for sale. Fluids, tire pressure, fuse replacements, and so on. None of it was done. There were issues within the first day, and the obviously hasty offspring of the guy running this place is the "head" of their service dept. He is a walking stereo type in a Ed Hardy tshirt, with way more interest in seemingly other things, than fulfilling the basic duties of his position. Telling us the oil was changed, yet it was low when we checked it before even leaving their lot. There also have been heating issues, and those too were supposedly "fixed" nope. Not even touched. The most rudementary of car sale courtesy was completely overlooked. No spare key, No owner's manual. With a private sale, it is what it is. With a formal sale, when a loan, and large payment for said vehicle is concerned; it is absolutely a common courtesy to splurge, spend the menial cost of both a spare (valet key even) & owners manual (yes many of which are now a pdf file, but still. Make the the customer aware as well as give the customer the capability to access it. Many older people may not be tech savvy enough of their own accord) My husband's car however was sent out into the world with both, and upon contacting the manufacturer, it would be easily, & cheaply obtained. Avoid, and stay away. Or have a trusted mechanic giving you insights to keep their service dept. Shadiest dealer I've ever been to. Confirmed on the phone twice that I would drive a vehicle at 6 pm on a Friday and was told it would be ready for me to drive. I was very serious about it and was planning on taking it to my mechanic a few miles away and making an offer if he said it was sound. I arrived and the car was blocked by 7 cars (including snow plows even though it's June) that would have to be moved in order to test drive and was told I could not test drive the car until I agreed on a price. I was told no one said I could test drive the car so it was insinuated I was lying even though I had confirmed 5 days prior on the phone and the same day the exact time I planned to come for the test drive. Upon an external inspection of the car it was in much worse shape than I was told and the tires were extremely worn. They assured me that their mechanic would pass its inspection. I planned to go to my trusted mechanic since he had warned me that theirs frequently misses issues. When I voiced my concerns to the owner, Ray about the cars condition and not having it ready despite saying it would be, unless I agreed to the price the owner said if the salesman, Ray: "he's a salesman what do you expect?" And when I asked why the car wasn't ready to be driven when I was told it would be ready for me the salesman, came barging into the office nearly yelling that he never said that and the owner said "I have 4 salesman how am I supposed to know who agrees to what car is going to be shown?" Dude... you have only have 4 salesman you should know exactly what car is going to be shown. When I voiced my concerns about the tires being so worn and needing to be replaced the owner said, "well we keep a set of tires in the back that we use during negotiation" When I addressed all these issues, I was expecting an apology and for the car to be moved so I could finally test drive it and yet they were very aggressive and dismissive of my concerns. Perhaps because I am a woman or perhaps because I brought two male friends who are very knowledgeable in this area and they learned that I would not be easy to screw over. They were very disrespectful and I'm so disappointed because I thought this was going to be my next car. If they had apologized and moved the car for me and my mechanic said it was in good shape I would have purchased it even at its current price. It's almost like they didn't even want to sell the car - wouldn't be surprised if this someday is discovered to be a front. So seedy. Do not recommend. read more

We've put more than $8,000 in repairs into a $10,000 Saab purchased from Choice, just to keep it on the road. No, we didn't do our due diligence and have an independent mechanic vet the car before purchase - our mistake. We trusted the mechanic that services Choice Auto ... second mistake. On March 20th, I brought my son to look at a 2006 Subaru WRX. This was the WORST experience ever dealing with a car dealership! Firstly, when my son walked into your dealership and inquired about the car, the FIRST thing the salesman asked was "how much are you going to put down....have you ever had a car loan before....this car will need a big down payment" He walked out with my son and the car was dead so he got a jump pack. He asked my son to connect and hold the jump pack then started the car and went inside, leaving us standing there with the car. Fifteen minutes went by and he never returned. He left us outside with the car running. What your salesperson did NOT know was that I had every intention of letting my son look at the 2006 WRX but I had cash in my pocket to purchase the 2017 WRX that was on your lot. Instead you judged my 19 year old son and categorized him as a young "tire kicker"...shame on you because we drove 2 hours to your "dealership" (and I use that term very loosely). I was the blonde that was driving the Cadillac and I would have been the woman who handed you cash for a Subaru WRX on the spot that day but your salesman lost that sale for you. Here's your lesson.....treat EVERY CUSTOMER LIKE A CUSTOMER and give them the respect they deserve for coming to your lot, despite their age or what you "think" they are as a potential customer. read more

However, if I ever need to buy a car this is where I will go. They have high end cars that are reasonably priced for what you are getting. I purchased a 2005 BMW 330ci convertable from choice auto in Shrewsbury a few weeks ago. I have a credit issue from many years ago so it was difficult for me to get accepted at a different dealership. Ray.. "the owner" of choice auto took it upon himself along with Valantina his sales manager and they made the deal happen with a local credit union. The interest rate was almost half from the other finance company which saved me thousands and also is getting me established with a local bank. I can't thank them enough for the work they did for me. Now I can work on getting my credit back up where it should be. My car is great. I love it. It is a used vehicle so it has a couple little repairs to be done. There was never a question. Last Saturday my husband and I took an hour's drive to this auto dealer to see four cars on the lot... a snowed in lot that not only didn't allow us to test drive the vehicles but also didn't offer us a view of the whole car. And this was after phoning them in the morning to inquire about the cars. Neither the salesman nor the owner seemed concerned over our dilemma, shrugging their shoulders and making no effort to make the cars more viewable. And this wasn't new snow. It was packed down and dirty, so they obviously weren't planning on cleaning their lot and were waiting for it to melt on its own. How exactly were they planning on selling any cars? Follow up to my recent review. My son (who is an essential worker-Nurse) purchased an Audi S7 from this dealership. (I have power of attorney) giving me full rights to deal with business for my son as he works a tremendous amount of hours. The car was purchased from out of state. Choice gave us a fraudulent mechanics report. Immediately upon receiving the car upon inspection of the body there was damage to the vehicle. We called the dealership and informed them of damage. 1 day later the car stopped in the middle of the road and would not start back up. Upon which time we called the salesperson, he authorized us to take the car to a Audi dealer and they would pay for the full inspection and the cost to "make things right". ZERO issues were noted on Choice Auto's mechanics report. HOWEVER-Audi found NUMEROUS mechanical issues upwards into the thousands of dollars to repair. Audi advised NOT to start or drive the vehicle. We had it the car towed into an independent for a 2nd opinion only to have them come up with the same issues that Audi reported. All of this has been well within the 30 day period. Ray has been rude and abrasive, hangs up the phone, refuses to answer emails, registered mail sent to him and he will not respond. AGAIN if I could give a NEGATIVE 20 star review I would. Clearly you see we are telling the truth. When we make contact attempts we have been told Shayne is on the phone (when it is actually Ray-the owner). When we ask to speak with Shayne, Ray tells us he is fired or home with a sick family member. This was a 35k vehicle-that STOPPED working. Not a good place to shop for a car. Beware of their $400 Doc Fee with any purchase. As always read the fine print before signing. The $400 goes right in the owner's pocket just like anywhere else. They will try and justify it in any way they can. Truth is...they don't have to charge you the extra $400.00 they just do because no one questions it. They will say its to register your car, file papers, bla bla bla its all a crock dont believe it. Heres what to do. My boyfriend and I stopped here with such high hopes for a Range Rover that they had on the lot. Driving in, it was very noticeable that they were so disorganized to the point we had to park on an off street with homes and children. I co-signed a 5-year loan for my son to help him purchase a 2006 Saab from Choice about 9 months ago. The problems began the day after he drove it home and we have put thousands of dollars into the car since (in addition to a ton of free labor, as he is in auto mechanics' school and he and his instructor have worked on it a lot) ... the tires needed replacing right away, there were rusted-out parts throughout, including some that snapped off during an alignment that it sorely needed (it then needed another alignment), and basically, things I'd never heard of needing replacing have had to be replaced. I mean, we just had to replace the DASHBOARD because the fuel gauge wouldn't read properly. As soon as that was done today, the WIPERS stopped working -- their motors appear to be cooked. All the coils had to be replaced because it kept misfiring and was going through fuel like water. And that is pretty much how it's been. I contacted the dealer over a month ago and he offered to service the vehicle at a discount but said that that was all he could offer. He and his son have always been courteous, but their mechanics were not to my son -- and their mechanics or whoever examined this car before they offered it for sale must have overlooked a ton of stuff. We're stuck with this lemon. The used-car price was about $10,000 and we are close to putting that much into it just to keep it road-worthy. The mechanics at Boston Saab (where he's been taking it) have told my son the problems have nothing to do with how he's driving it, that it was not well-maintained by the previous owner. So I would caution others to have an independent mechanic check any cars from this dealer thoroughly before signing anything. We didn't and I do regret it. I purchased a car from this place, and it was well worth it. Good selection so picking a car was the actual hard part considering they have just about 100 vehicles. Anyways they got me financed with ease, their finance manager was very polite and made sure i was happy with my interest rate (which was low) and my car was ready right away. Ive put 60,000 miles on this car and it drives great with no lights or problems. It is a Fantastic BMW and i will be a returning customer. The price they gave me was fair being that the price of used cars are going up. Thank you guys for a great buying experiance. My Sister later purchased a vehicle and although they did not have it in their inventory, They found her a car within 2 weeks. About a year ago I bought a 2008 Subaru Legacy with 120,000 miles on it for $7,500. For a car of that year, with that millage, is a pretty fair price according to Kelly blue book and other price comparing sites. My family have also purchases other used cars of that year within that price range and millage and turned out fine such as our 2007 Accord. But due to the condition of this car and problems it had and NONE of which was brought up to us all before purchasing the car this car was way overpriced due the cars condition. Ever since the car was purchased the car has needed new airbag module, new wheel barring, new tire rod, new power steering pump, the bottom of the car is very warn and rotted out in many areas, a leaking head gasket which also gotten worse over time, the interior is very warn and had to fix some broken interior features and now the entire exhaust system is so warn and damaged the entire thing is going to need to be replaced or else the car will fail inspection. This car is in really bad shape and was in really bad shape when Choice Auto sold it to us but didn't address ANY of these problems or at least some of the minor problems that could be a larger issue down the road prior to selling us the car. When the car was sold to us just a few days after driving it off the lot there was an issue with the oil pressure because the oil was never changed before selling us the car and the car didn't appear to be cleaned well either. Now we are left with a car with still ongoing problems that are costing thousands of dollars to fix, that was NEVER address to us, and the price of this car was way higher than it should have been given the condition the car was in. Please do not buy a used car here so you won't be ripped off and left with all the car problems that I have now. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! Found a car from this place via Craigslist. First night we drove it home, we get a call from Ray the owner to check for a leak underneath the vehicle. Sure enough transmission fluid leaking all over our brand new garage floor! Had it towed back to the dealership on my dime as Ray was too busy at auction to arrange for tow or pickup of the vehicle. Ray said he would pay for the tow but then left us with the $100 bill. Couple days later out shopping with our 3 year old twins, car battery dies stranding us in the parking lot in 90 degree weather! Two breakdowns, two calls to the tow company. Ray tells us to take the vehicle to AutoZone as he has an account there and will pay for a new battery. Then Ray argues with the auto mechanic and us over the phone in the middle of the store because he wants to cheap out and force us to accept a low grade battery instead of a quality one which is guaranteed for years (even though the first cheap battery just died and left us stranded for the 2nd time)....I could go on. The point is don't be fooled by the shiny looking vehicles at Choice Auto. It should be called Bad Choice Auto. The owner Ray is not someone you want to do business with. When the car you paid good money for fails to meet basic operating standards, Ray will blame you and tell you it's your fault and he does not have to be held accountable or do the right thing. Ray does not care about his customers OR doing the right thing. Worst car buying experience ever. Do not spend your money here. Please go ANYWHERE else and I guarantee you will be treated better than here. read more

Unbelievably Poor Salemanship!!! I was interested in 3 of their cars, a BMW M3, an Audi S5 and a Mercedes Benz C63 AMG. I wanted to get a feel for each car, so I could make a determination as to which car I might like best. The first car I drove was the C63. I liked the car very much, but still wanted to test drive the other 2 cars I had gone to see. The manager, that day (June 9th 2018), called me into office and asked me if I liked the car. I replied in the affirmative and told him the car was very nice. Then he asked me and I quote "Then whats the problem?". I was pretty sure of what I heard, but so surprised by it, that I asked him to repeat himself. He replied, "You like the car, so what's the problem". I explained to him that I had come into the dealership in March but the weather was poor, it was late in the day and I was unable to test drive the C63, so I was returning to follow up, as the car were still on the lot. I further told him that I was interested in two other cars, but that I wanted to take them all on the road, so I could get a feel for how they all drove and which one I might like best. After telling the Manager that, he asked me if I was going to buy a car on that very day. I replied "No", that I had a few hours on that particular Saturday morning and that I had been looking at European Cars and I wanted to make a determination as to which one to pursue further. The Manager began to tell me he didn't want to put a car on the road unless I were going to purchase something that day. I told him I was very interested in the cars but I had plans that afternoon, so it wasn't likely I'd complete a transaction that day. I asked the Manager, "How do you expect to sell a car if you don't let me, or anyone else for that matter, drive the car?". But again he responded with "I don't like to put a car on the road unless someone is going to buy". I was beside myself with disbelief. I mean these cars are not brand new cars, they're all used, in good to fair condition at best. I asked him, "How do you expect to sell a car if you don't let someone put their ass in the seat and drive the car". I just thanked him for his time and said goodbye. I just can't understand the reasoning, but It certainly explains why the lot was packed with cars, like sardines packed in a can. Not to be redundant, but if you're in the business of selling cars, put the customer behind the wheel and let them drive the damn cars. Otherwise, close up shop and stop wasting the consumers time. I'm not in the business of selling cars, but if I were I'd put the customers in the cars and let the cars sell themselves. read more

I was hired by ray, the owner to service the vehicles he purchased at auctions. I have 30 years automotive repair, and ase certified in steering/suspensions, brakes, and automotive engine rebuilding. The vehicles he buys at auction are low mileage, high dollar value. Think about it...what would a low mileage Mercedes be doing in an auction? I'll tell you...it's a flood recovery, title washed vehicle, or an electrical nightmare that the dealer won't touch. Needless to say he fired me because I wasn't dishonest enough not to tell the truth. So this man with the high morals he has, tried to steal all my tools, he wasn't expecting me to pick them up the next day. Even still he tried to steal a few. I went to apply for unemployment because, he fired me on a Saturday and I had the flu. He went to the unemployment agency with his secretary/ girlfriend, and directly lied and said that I quit. The cars he buys are usually junk, that he patches up to sell them. I'm not the only one he has tried to destroy. He showed me a snap on tool box he stole from a previous employee.
