Reasonable oil change prices and friendly service advisors. However, you must be careful that they don't charge you for things you don't need. When you ask for a certain mileage service, they will add things on that are not recommended and charge you $$$ for them. Before arriving, look up your maintenance schedule in your booklet so you know what they should be doing on the car. Ask them not to do anything you see that isn't on your maintenance schedule! I had a problem with my 2025 Subaru Forester. The back hatch piston was not working and you couldn't open the back hatch without horrible noise. I was able to get a service appointment right away. Tiana went above and beyond helping me. She explained that they would have to order the part but that I could come in the next day anytime and they would immediately service my car. She was true to her word. Next day I showed up and they fixed my car in under an hour. I recently had a service appointment for my daughters car. And I had the rudest staff greet us as we were about 10-12 minutes late. Then as I was telling the staff to get the car service done the crazy service manager " Lisa "jumps in and says please take the car somewhere else to service as she felt disrespected. There were no managers for the dealership available on the Friday. You think any other dealership would have called and spoken to me about my experience. The manager "Todd " emailed me back Friday evening stating he was out for dinner and unavailable to talk and no emails or calls from him since. I am in the market for a used car and I saw a car I liked on their website and wanted to look at the car and possibly test drive it. But reading the other reviews I agree with what people are saying about this dealership and the people here. I came in yesterday not knowing what to expect because I don't own any Subaru vehicles. I put in a request only looking and want to know the price because that is the one thing I couldn't find. I said that I want to AVOID sitting down and doing any paperwork because I am boosting my credit score and I don't want to sit, talk and wait about anything. This was supposed to take under 15 minutes and instead I was at this dealership for almost an hour. I felt mistreated, used, wasted my time becasue not everyone who comes in a dealership want to buy the same day. It is called car hunting and finding the car that works best for me. I know the market is crashing and lots of cars are going for sale, or very limited in production, but I all I want to do is see if I can imagine myself in a car I will be purchasing and when the time is right I know how much to put down and jump right into the paperwork. I am a visual and seeing cars in person better helps me and the guy I was with clearly thought I wasn't serious and I didn't want him opening my credit score because I know what it is and I don't want it to go down or have the bank accept anything. Looking to purchase a gently used, late model car. After much research online, I found what I thought to be a perfect match at Patrick Subaru. I traded emails a few times with online rep--verified car was available, she set an appointment up for "2:45" (very exacting time, right?) that day. Car shopping is never exactly "fun", but in these days of COVID is especially a pain-in-the-ass. Also, just as a lucky bonus for me, I am on chemo and am considered high risk. I explained this to the girl when I made the appointment and mentioned that I probably won't be sitting inside the dealership hashing out deals and whatnot as I was hoping to keep exposure to a minimum. She was very good and said that she would let the salespeople know. So I get there at "2:45" (prompt!) all psyched to get my "gently used, late model car" which was my perfect match. I am immediately approached by a sales guy telling me he has a great car for me. I'm like "uhh...I came to look at the 2019 Outback, I had an appointment for a test drive" he yells into the manager who is sitting in the office "Hey, that car is not here, right?" The manager affirms saying something to the effect that an employee took the car out today. What?! The sales guy automatically goes into a monologue about how I would make out better with a brand new car because of 0% financing, etc and tells me he will bring a perfect match around for me. If he would have cared to ask before giving his spew, he would have learned I was planning on paying cash anyway. Yeah, 0% is nice, but not when you end up paying $5k+ more than you were planning to. Disappointed, but because I'm a pussy (see my other reviews) I reluctantly agree to take a look. He brings around the new car, it is listed like $6k more than the one I had came for; it had no navigation, no moonroof, no remote start--all options I had really liked and hoped for. I had gone to Patrick Subaru for my brother to look at a 2014 outback that they had for sale. The initial impression that I had was a great one. That no sooner changed when going to pick up the vehicle. We had put a deposit And they had made some "promises" that were not kept. I'm a very specific person, thorough, and pay close attention to detail. I asked for some dings to be taken care of all within a 1 sq ft of each other, and a few minor scratches. They took care of some but neglected to take care of others that were highly visible and obvious. In addition to the unfulfilled "promises" they agreed to buff some surface rust off the inside of tailgate. And then they were very tricky with their words on a we owe. Which in my opinion is very unprofessional. Instead they just covered it up with touch up paint expecting me not to notice. I had everything written down for them to abide by. They did not clean or detail the inside of the car after we agreed to purchase it. The exterior detailing was below par. And they couldn't even give us a full tank of gas, instead they filled it to 3/4 of a tank. Extremely saddening when your spending $24,000 on a used vehicle. I agreed to take the car off the lot asking for $500 off before we were to sign the final agreement due to the disappointment and inability to follow through on their "promises". They came back at me with $250. I agreed because I wanted to just get the car and leave. Our sales person Michael Katz was friendly. I felt bad that he got tied into it with the manager Steve R. In my opinion Steve is what I call a sneaky car salesman. With his word trickery and not following through with promises. If you go to this dealership do not deal with Steve R. Overall I have to state that I will never return to that dealership for anything. They treat their customers poorly when purchasing a used vehicle. I wish I had read the other reviews on here before going to this dealership. Patrick Motors Inc deserves less than 1 star. What should have been a single service visit turned into FOUR trips to Shrewsbury. How they let me down: 1) Failed to fix a problem on the first visit. They called it "fixed" though, and charged the expense against my extended warranty. Had me pick up my car (and ultimately determine myself that it wasn't fixed). Sufficient testing of their own "fix" would have shown them that it was not, in fact, fixed. Poor service and poor QA. 2) Arranged for me to pick up a loaner a week and a half in advance but failed to coordinate internally. Result was me leaving work early to pick up my loaner and being informed, while I am en route mind you, not a week and a half earlier, that they don't give out loaners on Fridays for over the weekend. No apologies rendered. Poor internal communications. Lack of internal coordination and awareness of their own policies. And no loaner for me. I need to reschedule. 3) Left work early to drop off the car for my rescheduled service visit three days later, got my loaner, and was told the car would be ready the next day. They offered to even get my car inspected for me (something they don't normally do--even for new car sales) because they felt bad that I had had to come back at all because they hadn't fixed the problem the first time, and also because they had dropped the ball on the loaner. This promise demonstrates at least an attempt at good customer service. 4) They tell me they need to keep the car an extra day to get it inspected, but that they need to replace some bulbs or it will likely fail the inspection. They also tell me I need new wipers, again, in the context of indicating the car might fail inspection. I wasn't aware/hadn't noticed that any of my bulbs were out, but I say okay anyway, because I recognize that they are right: I might very well fail the inspection if there are any bulbs out. That said, I had JUST replaced my wipers so I knew those were fine. Nothing overtly concerning about any of this just yet. But I now have an uneasy feeling that they might be playing me--especially because of the wipers. But how much can a couple bulbs cost, right? Maybe $20 or a bit more, with parts and labor? 5) Leave work early the next day (for the fourth time now in two weeks) to pick up my car. They tell me a) it cost $140 to replace the bulbs, and b) they didn't inspect the car. Okay, well there goes the one potentially redeeming thing they had tried to do for me from the perspective of customer service. And $140 to replace two bulbs? They claimed it's half an hour per side in labor, plus the cost of the bulbs. Now I know those bulbs are a pain to replace. I've done it a few times myself. But they hadn't told me in advance how much it would cost. And the only reason I had them do it at all is because they were offering to get the car inspected for me! 6) I am, (I think quite fairly), very upset about this latest turn of events--especially in the context of my overall experience to date, and I ask to speak to the Service Mgr. He is completely apathetic and unapologetic and offers to take $35 off the $140--the cost of the inspection they didn't do?! I tell him my time is worth far more than that, and that this has been the worst customer service experience I've had in a long time. He stands firm. Offers not a word of apology, nor anything beyond the $35. 7) I pay the bill and head home. Call the Sales Mgr on my way home to let him know that his Service Dept ensured I would never buy another car from them again. He is apologetic, says he will talk with the powers that be. Calls me back the next day and lets me know that there is nothing else he can do for me. But hopes I will give Patrick Subaru another chance. Not a chance, Patrick Subaru. Not a chance. Your organization obviously does enough volume that it has lost sight of the importance of retaining the loyalty and trust of your individual customers. read more

I'd like to give Patrick Subaru just one star, but it didn't seem fair as I've only been a prospective customer. In 2016, I found out that my Subaru Legacy needed to have its airbag replaced as part of a recall. In early September, I called Patrick Subaru to see if they would take care of the service on my vehicle. They told me to leave my name and number and that they would get back to me at some point but that parts were scarce and it might take a while. After waiting for about a month, I was curious one day about the supposed dearth of parts, so I got online and started looking at sites about this particular recall. All the sites I consulted said that parts were readily available to dealerships. You can imagine that I got right back on the phone with Patrick Subaru, and I asked if I could get in and get my vehicle repaired. This time they asked for my VIN number, but they again told me that it would be months before they would be able to fix my vehicle. I'm actually a little embarrassed to admit that I just took their word for it and continued to wait another couple of months for them to call me back. After my third call to Patrick Subaru in mid December, I decided to check out Wakefield Subaru, which is close to my work. The customer service rep apologized because I would have to wait... Until the following week. She set up an appointment and told me that they would have a loaner car waiting for me. When I took my vehicle in, repairs were finished in under two hours. I have subsequently called Patrick Subaru and asked them how long it would take to get my vehicle in for repairs, and I was again given the runaround. It's hard to believe that it's been close to four months since I called Patrick Subaru, and they still haven't told me when I can get in to get my vehicle repaired. read more

Had another excellent experience at Patrick and wound up leasing two new cars, one for me, one for our daughters. The showroom is clean and modern, I was greeted immediately at check-in, and Paul, the sales person, was informative, knowledgeable and friendly. Did a test drive, appraisal for my existing car, and checked out a few options on the lot (I was considering buying and leasing). Subaru has great cars and there are several dealers in the area. You can tell when you're trying to buy a car if the place is honest. I've had two experiences at Patrick now and both led to purchases (3 cars in total). The people there are trustworthy and very customer-centric. If you're going to spend tens of thousands on a car you shouldn't accept less. read more

Not one to visit a dealership unless looking for OEM accessories, I recently dealt with the parts department here. I started my order online, but living so close I didn't want to pay shipping. So I decided to stop down to see what they could do for me. I dealt with Jeff and he was awesome. He even said they'd match any online price and I wouldn't have to pay shipping if I didn't mind picking up from the dealership. Thanks to Jeff and his great service I was able to save hundreds of dollars. And most of the parts were in stock so I can get a jump on my rebuild! The paint is flaking or erupting off of my new 2017 Subaru Outback. I bought the car new at Patrick Subaru in Shrewsbury MA. I have been to the service department a number of times, after the 3rd visit, I was told to take it over to their recommended body shop to have it looked at. The gentleman looked it over, agreed that there was a paint issue, he used the term "dirt" and there certainly "is a problem". I was so happy until, while with the gentleman, the service manager called the gentlman. Suddenly the gentleman wanted to look once again, more closely. When he returned he said "it's baffling us, not sure what it is". So basically I went from having an answer to no answer after a phone call. When I test drove the car that I have now purchased from Patrick Subaru the window was making a squeaking noise. I asked that it be checked out and the sales associate told me it wouldn't be a problem. When I picked up the car I was told the squeaking "went away" which in the following days I found that it did not. I also started to notice that now my windows as being gouged, so I took it back to the dealer. I then found out that the window guides were broken which is why the window was being scratched. They replaced the guides but refuse to do anything with the now gouged window. So now I have to pay for a new window when this all could have been prevented in the first place. My other issue I have had with this dealership is when I picked up my car they did not put the new registration stickers on my license plate. I asked that they please get me my stickers so I'm not pulled over for it and they said they would the next time they go to the RI DMV. It is well over a month later and I still do not have my registration stickers. Overall my experience with this dealership has been terrible. They act nice and say they are gonna take care of everything then they do absolutely nothing for you. read more

I thought was getting a great deal on a used Subaru and I had bought a car that had better value. After only three months of ownership I started to have problems with the car that I was told it was inspected and everything was good ( i.e brakes, exhaust, timing belt ) they go through everything and the car would never leave the dealership without the needed repairs. First month the exhaust started to rattle when ever I shifted the car ( I called the sales man ) I was told that was normal ,the second month the brakes started to grind when inspected by a mechanic I was told I needed all four rotors and pads as well as the emergency brakes shoes ( I called the sales man again and he no longer works for the company ). At this point I decided to trade the car in and I find out because the car had been in an accident with the previous owner it was only worth a fraction of what I paid for it. So I'm now stuck with this abomination that I have to repair because I'm so up side down it's not worth trading. Bottom line due your due diligence make sure everything is right because when they are only in it for the money this is what you get ! Rob B is 1 of the 2 trade in guys you have to deal with at Patrick Subaru and I would strongly suggest dealing with the other guy. Rob is the reason why people have negative feeling about the car buying process. Dealing with him was not a good experience. We all know the game...Rob trying to give you as little for your trade as possible, while you are trying to get the most for your trade in. Rob was rude and condescending. He used all the fast talking tricks and he used all the dealership buzz words. Basically treating me like I was a fool. After dealing with him I was ready to take my money to another dealer. I understand buying a car and trading one is is a negotiation, however there is a respectful way to do it. Rob struggled with the respect and friendliness part. He was overly confident and honestly unlikable. If you you took the time to read this review and plan on going to Patrick, trust me and ask for the other trade in guy. Worst part is Rob never even looked at my trade in, yet he knew exactly what condition it was in. I suggest Rob go to some training on how to interact with customers. First time purchasing from this dealership and it has been a very mixed experience. We are still waiting to receive the vehicle. We made the deal on Sunday, and the vehicle will not be ready until Thursday because of a cracked windshield. Our sales person, Nate, was excellent. Unfortunately he went on vacation the day after selling us the car. The vehicle was shown to us with a cracked windshield. We have been waiting 3 business days (and counting) for the windshield to be repaired. The sales manager Jeff has not been willing to arrange for the windshield to be fixed unless the repair takes place at the dealership. Jeff was quick to explain that our sales person Nate should have done a better job explaining to us that windshields take 3+ business days to repair. If this dealership feels that replacing a windshield is a 3+ day job, then that is their prerogative, I simply disagree. They could have done a much better job either replacing the windshield in a timely fashion, be willing to have the windshield replaced somewhere other than their lot or offered a complementary oil change or something for the inconvenience. My wife and her family had been buying cars from Patrick Subaru for years and when the time came for me to get a new one I did not look anywhere else. I bought a 2014 Subaru Forester and am totally in love with it. Six speed manual, rear view camera, headed seats/mirrors/windows and a spacious cargo that was built with love. My experience with Mike, our dealer was excellent. He not only give us a great deal without us having to negotiate, he walked me through the ins and outs of the car after the sale and got my smartphone hooked up to the car's Blue Tooth! Totally awesome. The other good thing is that they had the exact color I was looking for in stock the day I walked in. I will be their customer for years to come. read more

Incompetent technicians and overcharged me for regular maintenance! I bought both my forester and outback new at Patrick Subaru, which was an OK experience. Recently, i did my 90k maintenance for the Forester and 60k maintenance for the Outback. And they messed up both! Before the 90k maintenance, i felt that the Forester lacked power, noisy and ran rough. i asked them to check the transmission, differential, wheel bearing and brakes. they told me they found no issues in any of these. they performed VPS fuel injection cleaning and added engine oil additives and let me go. Fast forward tow months, i was driving to NH when the car suddenly choked as if an engine brake was applied. I towed it to a dealer at Concord NH and they told me that the transmission was gone and there was literally no gear fluid left in it. Since the price tag to fix it will exceed $8000, i called Subaru America and complained. Luckily, they were able to give me a credit enough to cover the majority of the repair. When my wife took the Outback in for 60k service, they present her two options: package 1 will cost 1150 and package two will cost 950. they said that all these are required per Subarus's maintenance schedule and they will give me a 15% discount because i am a loyal customer. I felt it was still a bit pricy for scheduled maintenance so i looked into the details and took out the engine air filter and the cabin air filter since i can replace them easily. i also ask them to take out tires balancing since the tires were replaced recently. after all these, the final charge was 817. after the fact, out of curiosity, i called Natick Subaru for a price quote for the 60k maintenance and to my surprise, they quoted me 750 without taking anything off the list and without any discount. i call Patrick Subaru back and asked them if i was charged with either something i don't need or a much higher price for the same things. they said dealers can determine what items to put on the schedule maintenance and the labor cost may be different and for example, Subaru Natick's labor cost is $40/hr higher than theirs! Their last excuse made me laugh! So guys, please do me a favor and DO NOT go to Patrick Subaru for maintenance. they are incompetent and overpriced! read more

I despise the cat-n-mouse car buying process. It's antiquated, often times a major hassle, and an obvious time drain. I have never, had an easier time getting the car I wanted. Short turnaround time, the car was pristine on delivery and I got an fantastic price for the vehicle. Much better than ANY dealership that I had gone to previously, and that includes MetroWest, CitySide, Village Subaru (what a waste of humanity in that dealership, total scumbags) as well as Quirk subaru and North Reading subaru. Patrick had the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff as well as beating the competitors price by ALOT!!! I have no qualms about giving a bad review but when someone goes out of there way and with all the stigma associated with car sales and the whole process, it was extremely refreshing to have all of my requirements answered with a "yes". Monthly payment = Check Vehicle Price = Check Smart people who know their product = Check Professional atmosphere = Check Do yourselves a favor, get your vehicles here, you will not leave unhappy. read more
