They sell pool passes here so it's not resort only folks which is hard because pool isn't that big. Campus is beautiful tho. Highly recommend just not during peak season zone and when kids are out of school. Basically backs up to the state park

I am extremely disappointed by Choctaw's policy regarding accessible rooms. Guests who require…read moreaccessibility accommodations cannot reserve an accessible room in advance. Instead, these rooms are apparently offered on a "first come, first served" basis--leaving people with disabilities unable to know whether their basic needs will be met when they arrive. We were planning a family gathering at a nearby short-term rental, but my mother could not stay there because of her significant mobility limitations. We thought Choctaw would be a comfortable and dependable alternative. However, after multiple calls, we were repeatedly told that an accessible room could not be guaranteed or reserved, even when the accommodation is medically necessary. My parents live six hours away in Houston. They simply cannot make that drive without confidence that my mother will be able to safely enter, move around, and use the bathroom in her room. Accessibility is not a preference or a "special request." For many guests, it determines whether traveling and staying at a property is possible at all. A policy that leaves accessible rooms to chance effectively excludes guests with disabilities and their families. This was incredibly frustrating, discouraging, and disappointing. Choctaw should urgently reconsider how it handles accessible-room reservations.

Would absolutely NOT recommend booking through this company! We stayed for a weekend vacation, upon…read morearrival we discovered a leak from the ceiling. Everything in the kitchen was soaked and there was a huge puddle of water in the walkway to kitchen. My kids both slipped and fell on the concrete because of it. I called and messaged several times with no response but the one time I did they said they contacted maintenance, which actually didn't happen. They sent someone at 6pm the night before we left. We had to deal with this, the ice maker not working, and a shower that wouldn't drain throughout our vacation and after them mentioning a discount, they ghosted us. I've reached out several times several ways and nothing. I honestly couldn't imagine treating a customer, or anyone this way. Thursday afternoon- arrive at cabin, discover leak from ceiling in kitchen. Suspect it's air conditioning unit because the leak was also coming from outside condensation drain. Immediately I contacted Hidden Hills office because no maintenance number was listed. She said she would contact maintenance and get back with us. Never heard back. Thursday night- I call and no answer. Immediately get a text saying maintenance was contacted and they were supposed to send HVAC over. *she also said you will definitely get a discount* but mind you, I've already paid for rental. Friday- wait around for someone to show up. So 3pm rolls around and I send a text stating nobody has shown up for the leak. At this point we also have discovered the ice maker doesn't work and the shower won't drain. No response at all. Saturday- I get a message from maintenance on Facebook because of my Facebook post about this experience and he says he never got any message about the maintenance issue. He apologized but also tried to say I didn't call the right number although there's no number for him listed anywhere expect the fridge which clearly states to only call him after hours and for emergencies. So anyway I let him know the situation and he tells me the lady went through another maintenance guy and he would follow up. Never followed up. I sent pictures to both maintenance and the lady I spoke with. No response from her, but he said he talked to HVAC tech and he would be here shortly. Nobody showed up, so I called the office again. She acted surprised and said she'd contact maintenance again. She texted back saying HVAC tech is supposed to be heading over there, let her know if he doesn't show. He didn't show up. Saturday night about 6pm someone showed up to fix the AC leak, told us he hadn't been called out to this until 10am this current day. I then texted the company back and said he had been over. THEY said we would "definitely" be given a discount. I kindly accepted and asked what kind of discount and they responded with she would look at our account the next day. Sunday- nothing, but it is Sunday on a holiday weekend so I waited until the evening to text back again to follow up. No response. Monday afternoon- I emailed the same message, no response. So they ghosted us after checkout. It just really sucks. We spent what little extra money we had to make this trip happen for our family this summer. Then to have this disruption and headache throughout the whole trip is so disappointing. The lack of concern and communication was the most disappointing though. Please just don't make the mistake of trusting them, because clearly they don't care.

We saw deer and rabbits from our patio every day. The only downside is that there is some noise from the highway when you are outside, but it didn't bother us. However, the service and breakfast was awful First of all, the AA website stated that we could check in by 2pm. We got to the hotel about 2:40 pm. No one was at the front desk. I ran the bell a couple of times before the attendant came to the desk barefoot. :( She told us that we couldn't check in until 3PM. I will add that there was only one other car in the parking lot besides ours. So, we left and came back later. We got to our rooms. The mattresses on the beds were on top of a flat spring like thing that was sitting on top of a metal box that made a "Boing" sound every time you sat on the bed or moved around after getting in the bed. The next morning, we went to breakfast which consisted of a waffle maker, some bagged muffins, and a little juice. I was like throwing bred in a minnow pond as there were 30 people or more waiting for the meager sustenance. We left and went to McDonalds. When we got back to our rooms that night, non of our room keys worked. Between the two rooms we had two keys per room. I had to go to the desk and get them rekeyed. I asked the attendant why the keys didn't work. Instead just saying, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, she said, "You must have put your card next to another card." I told her it was in my back pocket all day, so it had not come in contact with other cards. Besides, why would all four cards not work. She replied with, "It's no big deal." I think as the customer, that I would be the one to decide if it was a big deal or not. So, we get in the rooms and the rooms had not been cleaned. I go back to the desk to get fresh towels. The attendant tells me to come back in 30 minutes because the towels are still drying for the laundry that day. I said, "you mean to tell me in the entire hotel there are not towels available?" She said she only had one housekeeper that day. I told her to call me when the towels were ready. I went back to my room and set a timer for 40 minutes in case I fell asleep while waiting for the towels. The timer when off, I went to use the phone to call the front desk to see if the towels were ready. The phone was unplugged. After plugging it in, there was not dial tone. I walked back up to the front to get the towels. She saw me coming and went over to the laundry and materialized with a stack of already folded towels. As she handed them to me, she said, "Be sure to bring your old towel to me." LOL - that was not happening. We will not stay here again. It is a shame.
