I can't with good conscience give Chocolate Fountain SoCal any more than a 0 star rating. Customer service was horrendous, and the chocolate fountain itself was very average. I booked Chocolate Fountain SoCal for my wedding, and I definitely would NOT recommend it. I first have to say coordination with the owner Sheri is difficult as she prefers phone calls and will yell at you when she's in a bad mood. When I called her to discuss the final plans of the wedding, she yelled at me after I apologized for the delay in calling her back as I preferred to communicate via email due to my busy work schedule. She said she was "old" and needs a phone call. When I wasn't able to answer her questions regarding the placement of the chocolate fountain and how the set up would work, she continued to yell at me, which became so distressing that I was on the verge of tears and I had to interrupt her rant to tell her it was not appropriate for her to speak in this way to me. I then had my wedding coordinators call her to discuss the details. Unfortunately, Sheri was at my wedding to setup and man the chocolate fountain. She had the nerve to give me attitude on my actual wedding day. When I said hi to her she rudely commented "You don't even know who I am do you?" Even as I was selecting the dipping items at the chocolate fountain station, Sheri was giving me attitude. The chocolate fountain looked and tasted very standard, nothing special. The chocolate did not taste premium or high-quality, and the dipping items were average. For example, I expected fresh chocolate chip cookies, but they looked and tasted like the packaged chips ahoy cookies. I asked my friends for feedback on the chocolate fountain and they also said it was standard. Sheri was also intense towards my guests and was rude when my friends tried to clarify the allergens for the dipping items. Overall, I am shocked at how rude the owner was towards myself and my wedding guests. Her behavior was inexcusable, and the subpar chocolate fountain did not make up for the stress and negative vibes she brought to my wedding. read more

Chocolate Fountain SoCal and Gourmet Catering SoCal did an exceptional job with fresh food, presentation, and pairings. I've used them for couple events in California and 1 in Hawaii. Our guests and team members in attendance said it couldn't have been a better event! The food was healthy, with a touch of decadence in our chocolate fountain display. Price was reasonable and well worth it for quality. We went with some traditional picnic favorites and a couple Hawaiian and French dishes to try. We booked Orange County Chocolate Fountains at the last minute for our wedding earlier this month and are so GLAD we did. It was one of the biggest hits at our wedding. The guests have been raving about how delicious the dipping delicacies and chocolates were - especially the cream puffs filled with ice cream (those things were simply divine!). Although our venue didn't offer take-away boxes for snacks, some of our guests actually wrapped up these chocolate covered goodies in napkins and took them home to save for later! My attendant was very nice. I enjoyed all the extra dipping items too. I think set up could have been a little better. Plus I did not like the location it was set up. No one asked me. I was checking people into my reunion and the table location was moved. Several of my guest didn't know there was a chocolate fountain until they saw party pictures. Sheri (owner) is a delight to work with; she is responsive, prompt, and brings a dedicated crew with her for set up serving, and clean up. She even included an additional caramel fountain upon arrival! My students enjoyed every bit of both the chocolate, caramel, and cotton candy and most went back for 2nd and 3rd (and probably more) servings. I'd like to highly recommend them, TEN STARS I requested a quote online by filling out the form and was that she promptly called me and all my details were confirmed. I got helpful suggestions, the main one being told about their "signature" chocolate mix. I couldn't decide between dark or milk chocolate and come to find out I could have both! That being said, it was delish! The coordinator noticed I said on the form I was referred by a friend, and made great pains to discover who that was so she could thank them. I thought that was really special. People SHOULD be appreciated and I felt this company APPRECIATED ME! I will be referring them and using them again.
