(They only offer milk based milk options) The coffee itself had a good taste I do think I would have preferred just a regular iced coffee with the flavor but I know that for next time. I did enjoy being able to look at the offerings of the connected store (Basic.) they had many unique things for sell including clothing, shoes and various books. Tyler was great with helping make my selection of drink and I loved how patient he was with assisting on the order. The feel of the space was very comfortable and welcoming to creatives. I love the location and how it is in walking distance to so many things. Thankfully I was able to find a parking spot across the street and didn't have to pay to park. Basic. is the store sharing the space and it is nice to be able to browse their inventory while waiting for your drinks. They have some things that I have not seen anywhere else if I had to compare it to another store I would compare it to Earth Bound. Everything seemed to be environmentally conscious which is always nice to see.

It's located right along 2nd Ave amongst all of the restaurant hubbub. Street parking, but if you're willing to take a stroll for a couple blocks, it's easy. This is one of the busier coffee shops in town, I would advise against seeking silence here. It's a shared space with "basic," a vintage clothing and art retailer which has awesome things made by local people. The people that worked there were so friendly. I came because I had to get that crème brûlée latte. It did not disappoint. One of the most delicious coffee drinks I've had in a long time. It tasted like a hug, perfectly caramel sweet, and fun to drink. It's not often that coffee gets turned into an interactive experience. The pastries looks great. The couch in the front window looked like an awesome spot to post up with some buddies. There were plenty of tables and chairs to work at. I will most certainly be back.

The ONLY place to buy homemade chocolate in Birmingham! They've been at it since 2020 (and you know…read morewhat that means!)!!! Starting out a block east of Sidewalk Film Festival theater and Pizitz food hall, they have settled for now across the street from Birmingham Shambhala Meditation Center on the soft corner of Forrest Park, Avondale, Lakeview, and Highland Park. My favorites are the raspberry truffle or the Venus bar which is basically the same thing but flattened into bar form. I can only eat half a square at a time. Because it is SOOOO GOOD. Satisfying. I mean, it's the best. I'll guarantee your money back personally;) Follow your heart. Go with your gut. Is it milk, dark, or buttery white that calls to you? Do yourself a favor and indulge in the sipping chocolate while you shop. Available Thursday thru Sat, this delectable desire you didn't know you had FULL FILLED. Again, I'll pay you back if it doesn't work out. This melty supreme divine sauce just might change your life. And you deserve it.

All of their products are handmade in small batches. This is certainly some of the highest quality chocolate I've had, and it's a bonus since it's a small, locally owned business. The inside of the store is super small but they have a lot of options. It's a tad expensive BUTTT I'm willing to splurge since it's a small business that only sells high quality items. They also have samples out (at least for each time I've visited). And they et me take a pin for free since I made a purchase!

The shop may be small, but it has a cozy, welcoming feel that makes it a comfortable place to enjoy a cup of coffee. Even though it's located in the lobby of a building, the décor gives it plenty of character and makes the space feel warm rather than temporary. I could easily see myself coming here to get some work done or simply relax for a while. I decided to try one of their seasonal drinks, the Berry & Bee Latte. While it wasn't quite my favorite flavor combination, the espresso itself was well made, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back and try another drink from the menu. Sometimes a seasonal special just comes down to personal preference, and this one wasn't quite for me. The standout of my visit was the chorizo, egg, and cheese empanada. It was absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of my order. There's a short wait for the empanadas, but that's because they're warmed fresh after you order, and it's well worth it. I'd gladly wait a few extra minutes for something served hot and fresh. The only area where I think the experience could be improved is staffing. During my visit, the barista had to step away from the counter several times, which left me waiting a few minutes before I could order. Having a second employee available during busier times would likely make the flow much smoother and improve the overall customer experience. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would definitely stop by again. The comfortable atmosphere, quality coffee, and outstanding empanada make Daily Buzz Coffee worth a return trip, and I'm looking forward to trying a different latte on my next visit.

Genuinely had a top 5 cortado here, the flavors are super unique - there seems to be some Asian influence to their flavors? Love that they use minor figures as well. Came here after reading reviews…read more I'll start by saying the staff were decent enough. Not super friendly but not rude. Just there. I ordered an iced americano given it was a hot day around noon. I got my drink and went to add creamer and sweetener like I always do. And bam that's when I noticed this place was one of those we are going to force you to have what we believe is healthier for you. What do I mean. No Splenda no equal just that nasty truvia. I'm diabetic so I don't use sugar and truvia is just nasty. It tastes horrible and makes your drink taste horrible. Now mind you they will use all kinds of syrups with dyes and additives and sugars but nope not Splenda. That's bad for you. The 50 grams of sugar in a single vanilla latte is totally fine. We're ok with that even though that alone is over the recommended amount. But Splenda no we can't allow that. Will never be back.

I will update this review with an even cuter photo of you on my next visit, promise! Okay....now that's out of the way lol. I saw on Facebook that Peterbrooke Chocolatier is having their grand opening today, so I had to go check it out. Boy, am I glad I did! They had samples galore due to the grand opening and I got to try several of their yummy selections, including chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered pineapple, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered rice krispie treats, etc. While they will not have the same variety of samples on the future outside of the grand opening event, I was told that they will always have a plate of samples out close to the register! They have milk chocolate and dark chocolate for sure....and I am sure white chocolate but I didn't pay attention to that since I am not a white chocolate kind of gal. I can honestly say their milk chocolate is quality stuff. You can definitely tell the difference, no cheap imitation here! Also, they have gelato available in the store.....I want to say at least 10 flavors? I forgot to get an exact count, but they look delicious. Also, and this is a big one for me, they have chocolate caramel green apples. Yes, they do! So there is only one other store in Birmingham that I know of with chocolate caramel apples....but it's no good as the chocolate the other store uses is just not up to par and leaves a funny taste. I eat a lot of chocolate caramel apples and currently I mail-order them as I expect them to be of certain quality. However, I am really excited to try Peterbrooke's chocolate caramel apple next time I make my way there as I already know they have quality chocolate from the samples today! It would be fantastic if I can find a local store with awesome chocolate caramel apples! Anyway, so the fact that my phone glitched and I have no good photos for Yelp other than the one I "borrowed" from their Facebook page and the one I took after I got home of the goody bag they gave out at their grand opening today is the perfect excuse to go back and visit them again....very soon! Oh, wait, almost forgot! In regard to their service? Their employees were super nice! I already mentioned Madi. She was personable and friendly when I met her today and she talked to me about their gelatos and chocolate caramel apples. Nice employees always make any store even more of a pleasure to visit! Thanks, Madi!!

After searching through several Chocolatier's in the Birmingham area looking for family a gift card…read moreso they could have fun choosing their own chocolates, I decided to use Peterbrooke as they had an online e-Gift Card option, where the other shops did not offer this. I decided to call the local store to confirm they would accept the GC and the sweetest lady went above & beyond to help me place an order through the store's register. She sent me a screen shot for confirmation and mailed the GC that day, to family. They were so surprised & pleased! Apparently the online e-Gift Cards can only be used for ONLINE purchases. So keep that in mind.
