I am writing this review because I love giving credit when and where it's due. I have suffered from neck and shoulder pain for as long as I can remember. Most recently, our family Chiroprartor passed away and I had been in search for a Chiroprartor just as good as him. Since then, I have seen many Chiropractors and walked out unhappy. Today, I felt my neck and shoulder tighten up and knew I needed an adjustment/alignment. I searched on yelp and found Chiroprartor first. I called first thing in the morning and the doctor made time to see me on the same day - despite being busy with appointments. I walked in. The doctor evaluated me from the neck down to my feet. He had me move certain ways and I realized I had pain not only in my neck abd shoulders, but also down my back. He had me stand straight and noticed my spine was out of alignment. He had me lay down and asked me if I knew one leg was shorter than the other. I really had no idea, but then instantly realized -- I had stopped wearing Capri pants because every-time I'd wear them-- one hem was longer than the other. The dr took pictures which I will post. I'm telling you-- he adjusted me and had me in a pretzel position and my body cracked in places I had no idea was possible to crack. He then had me lay down again and the alignment with my feet was almost close to perfect even. Pictures to show you. I'm writing this because I am amazed by his treatment. I walked in to get help for my neck and shoulders -- however, walked out feeling renewed and amazing. Dr David exceeded my expectations and cracked my neck and back like never before. I am so thankful for Dr. Phan, not only for his practice, but also for his kindness, gentleness, and giving heart. He is very easy to talk to. It is very clear he loves what he does, and that being a chiro is his vocation, not just his career. I initially found Chiro First through yelp one early morning. I texted Dr. Phan (isn't it great to be able to text your chiro!!) at 7am with great desperation as I was nauseous and confronted with neck pain. I hadn't been able to sleep on my back for a week due to the pain and dizziness, and basically slept sitting. I'd tried massage and even float therapy, but they hadn't seemed to help. Taking into account my desperate state, Dr. Phan messaged back immediately and agreed to see me at 8am that same day. When I arrived, it was quiet. I must have looked a mess. Dr. Phan quickly assessed me after seeing his first patient, stated it would likely take 5-6 visits to correct everything, and magically cracked my right shoulder after listening to my account of my symptoms and stretching my neck muscles. Lo and behold, I fell asleep lying flat on the massage bed that he sent me to without any discomfort while attached to a TENS unit. Fast forward 4 visits later, and I felt so much better! I was able to function in everyday life! I have gone to chiros before, and didn't see any results after months of adjustments. I was so amazed and thankful. Went for a treatment today. Been running a fever for two weeks and ER doesn't know what's wrong with me. Ive had multiple covid tests and ct scan for my lungs and negative. Still people at the ER treat me like im infected and isolated me. David is like I got you, come here and I'll fix what I can. My neck has been stuck and in pain causing me more migranes and fever. David helped me stretch out my neck, every stretch I felt it hitting the right spot. Then a sudden twist and my neck is like milk hitting rice crispy cereal. Right after that I'm on cloud 9. Amazing customer service. First off, the doctor squeezed me in at 6:30pm (after they were closed), which was much needed because I was in so much pain I could barely move. He not only took my in after-hours he also took his time to properly explain to me what my issue was and how to fix it. I never felt rushed and he took his time to thoroughly show me to how to maneuver my body to prevent further injury and how to heal my body as fast as possible. The alignment was amazing, I felt tender afterwards, but that is normal. That night I was finally able to sleep the full night. It's been a few days and with following his advice I feel a significant improvement about 60-70% improvement. I cannot wait to go back for my second adjustment. Dr. Phan is a good guy, I've been going to his office off and on for over six years. I can tell you that I've seen my fair share of Chiropractors given my Service related injury back in 1993. You need to understand that not all Dr.'s will be a hit with everyone, they are all different just like medical Dr.s some you like better than others. Given my level of experience spending well over 15K but more like 20-25K in Chiropractic services I would say that yes, I'm somewhat of an expert in what is expected. Here I get a good quality treatment, and for those of you who bad-mouth this good guy, why don't you open your mouth and let him know what you are thinking, I mean the Dr. is good but to my knowledge he doesn't read minds... Like I said Dr. Phan is one of the good ones, seeing him go from a small office in Diamond Bar to a bigger office in Walnut should say it all... He's done good for himself and it shows. ***This is a review of their appointment process and not the chiropractic session itself.*** I have TMJ and was need of a chiropractor ASAP. I did not want to go to the ER because they'll most likely just give me pain killers. They were the only ones open on Saturday, so I called them to make an appointment. The lady told me I can come on Monday and to text her my insurance info as well as my date of birth. I did just that, right after the call. I told her to call me back as soon as she's able to confirm eligibility. She did not call me back, but I still have the appointment so I went. Monday comes and Dr. Phan tells me that they weren't able to check my insurance so I would have to pay out of pocket. He said that they don't check eligibility on their own and the person who checks it does not work on weekends. It also takes 2 DAYS to check eligibility. I was not about to pay out of pocket, since I know my insurance does cover chiropractor visits, I'm just not sure by how much. I also can't wait 2 more days. He even said that I did not send him my insurance info, but I told him to check his messages and it was there... he just didn't see it. I found this place to be unorganized. He told me to either pay out of pocket or find another place. I have not eaten all weekend due to pain whenever I bite down. I was really looking forward to some sort of relief, so I was upset. I left the place and called a different chiropractic office right away. Twenty minutes later, I was on the way there and they also checked my eligibility. read more

To be honest, I was extremely skeptical going into my first ever appointment at a chiropractor;I never thought there was much of a difference between a chiropractor and a good massage joint - the difference is day and night, and I can now say I was completely wrong. I must give credit where credit is due, and I must say that Dr. David Phan's practice is high quality. What I enjoyed most was not only the extremely relief of my neck pain, but the fact that he took pride in what he did and tried to make his patients feel comfortable. It wasn't just about the money for him and I really appreciated that thought. IN CONCLUSION: if you're reading this review and feel a bit of unease about setting up your first chiropractor appointment - rest assured that Dr. Phan and his team will take care of you. I got up with neck and shoulder pain last week, and found this place with many positive reviews on yelp, so I decided to give this place a try. I have previously been to other chiropractors around the area for back and neck pains due to sitting and standing postures, but with only mediocre results. My first visit was last Thursday. Dr. Phan explains the reasons and possible causes of my neck and back pain, and provided me with suggestions and ways to alleviate the pain at home. Dr. Phan then realigned my neck and spine and I immediately felt better. I went in for a second treatment the following Monday for more aligning and felt 80% better, and will be going in for a third treatment on Friday and hopefully the pain will go away completely. Dr. Phan gave me my life back. I had hip pain for YEARS and was told by Kaiser that the cartilage in my hip joints had been worn down. Káiser first gave me a cortisone shot, which did not help. Then they told me I needed a hip replacement. Thankfully I decided to visit Dr. Phan before undergoing surgery, and in just a couple sessions I am officially PAIN FREE. After a long stressful week of studying, I desperately needed to release tension from my lower back and neck. Thanks to groupon, I bought an excellent deal for $35: a one hour massage and 15 minutes on a heated roller bed. That was the BEST DECISION I MADE ALL WEEK! The filipino lady who gave me my massage concentrated exactly on the areas that needed most work and she even gave me enlightening advice. I walked out feeling happy, relaxed, and ready to conquer another set of exams. Dr. Phan greeted us personally before we left, which I felt added a nice extra touch.
